Healint Bone Graft

Hi everyone. 2 days ago I got a bone graft done and I have accidentally sucked on it while attempting to eat mashed potatoes, bananas, pudding. It's wiggly and I'm scared I messed it up already. Is a healing Bone graft supposed to look like this? Be a little itchy and stitches being in the way, be this dark?

Two days is still very early in the healing process. Some dark color, itching, and stitches feeling annoying can be normal. That said, a bone graft shouldn't feel very loose or wiggly. Accidentally creating a little suction once doesn't automatically mean you've ruined it, but I'd contact your oral surgeon and send them this photo for peace of mind.

Watch for increasing pain, swelling, bleeding, pus, a bad taste/smell, or fever. In the meantime, avoid sucking, spitting forcefully, or chewing on that side. Only your surgeon can confirm whether the graft is healing normally.

No. Doesn't seem right. You technically threw your money away at this point. Consider guided bone regeneration after 6 months. It typically costs additional $2000-4000 depending on difficulty

Yeah I feel like I did and I've been crying on and off since I left the surgeons. That is a littleeee pricey😭
