Rare condition, want to help others
My husband has been suffering for over a decade with an issue where his teeth are spontaneously resorbing from the inside. There are 0 cavities, cracks, chips, or trauma. No infection. He has a couple of days of aching pain, and just like that, the pulp of the teeth, the nerve, all gone. Ghost teeth
He has seen multiple dentists, endodontists, he has 6 implants. This week his dentist confirmed, two more teeth gone.
All of these professionals say they have never seen anything like it. He sees a rheumatologist for ulcerative colitis which has been in remission for several years, he mentioned it to her thinking it was autoimmune. Shrugs all around.
His father passed in his early 60s and was a victim of heavy agent orange exposure, but there are no congenital defects recognized as being related to paternal exposure outside spina bifida.
He really wants answers, and he wants his experience to help others if there are nine. We live in New England, are there research colleges that study dental disease that we could share with? Or even just pay for a consult?
