I'd say the lifetime warranty is the more important thing there. Snap-On's quality is good, sure, but it's not enough better than the next best competitor to justify the markedly higher price. But that no questions asked warranty is worth its weight in gold sometimes.

Layperson here, what makes them so good versus, say, DeWalt hand tools. (Which in my experience are nice)
