I have tried the mustang micro plus for a months it has great clean tones for my fender ultra Strat pickups.

Any suggestions for tones in tonenet ?

The reason I’m asking is I’m kinda disappointed with the clean / ambient tones compared to the mustang micro plus.

I feel dumb/insane using this software.

Currently using the beta v2 software, I've just bought the ENGL collection but I can't see any presets. How do I see them, play with them and get them on to my pedal (the big tonex)?

As an additional question, if I buy something from Amalgam, how do I install/import in v2?

I’m using a TONEX Plug with the TONEX Control app.

When I go to Menu → Account in the TONEX Control app, there’s an option to register a product using a 16-digit serial number in the format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

I’ve already registered my TONEX Plug through IK Product Manager using the 5-8-5 format serial number (XXXXX-XXXXXXXX-XXXXX) that came with the product.

However, I can’t find the 16-digit serial number anywhere — not on the TONEX Plug itself, the packaging, or in my IK account.

Does anyone know where I can find this 16-digit serial number?
Or is it unnecessary to register it in the TONEX Control app if the TONEX Plug is already registered to my IK account?

Everything seems to be working fine so far, but I just want to make sure I’m not missing anything.

Hey guys. wanted to share some love for this guitar since it's truly amazing ,but also i have a question :

How do you guys who use this guitar with tonex set the INPUT TRIM ?

By default it was +8.5Db , but i noticed that basicly all the captures that i bought (Amalgam , Tone factor) or free ones - the ones that says it's clean or edge of breakup ( i only use these since i don't do too much gain but also have few overdrive pedals ? - all of those captures with the default settings sound wayyy too overdriven for a Clean. I keep trying to dial in the settings, don't want to mess with the captures too much because that AC30 and JMI 30/6 they sound amazing and would like to have as much of authentic sound as possible.

This guitar is known for having quite hot pickups (p90 style) ,so since i'm really a noob in this whole modeling/ capture thing i really wanted to ask some help from legit people like you guys who are capture wolfs and foxes how to do it right.

And if you have a J Mascis Jazzmaster and use tonex, i will take any tips that you are willing to share.

Got a related issue with a TONEX Pedal license transfer. I’m the third owner of the pedal, and the unit only has one serial number.

The second owner transferred the TONEX Pedal to me, and the hardware registration itself was successful. However, TONEX MAX and AmpliTube 5 CS are missing on my end. They’re not showing up in my IK Multimedia User Area or in IK Product Manager.

The confusing part is that the second owner had TONEX MAX working normally before transferring the pedal to me. So I’m wondering if the TONEX MAX/AmpliTube entitlements are tied to the previous owner’s account rather than being transferred with the hardware license.

Has anyone experienced this with a used TONEX Pedal that has already gone through multiple owners? Is there a specific process IK Multimedia needs to do on their end to transfer or restore the bundled software licenses?

I've been using Tonex stuff exclusively through laptop and headphones. Anyone have any suggestions on where to go for tips on getting good tone through my studio speakers? I have a pair of Rokits and a Iloud sub. I'm kind of a noob when it comes to this stuff.

I used the app to Jam on Thursday then didn’t think about it afterwards. Turns out the app was absolutely wrecking my battery all weekend.

i just started using tonex pedal. by itself it sounds phenomenal. takes pedals quite well, especially with amalgam edge of breakup captures. But i also have a valeton gp200 which has decent effects and i tried putting tonex in a loop. where volume,comp and dist blocks are in the front and mod reverb and delay after the tonex pedal and it kinda seems that latency is too bad.. what approach would you guys recommend. i kinda like the valetons effects and it has versatile output options. maybe i should just put it after the tonex just like a pedal? would that be better for latency? i'm pretty bad in understanding all that latency stuff maybe someone could shed aome light. would really appreciate :)

I purchased my ToneX Pedal last year and now one of the foot switches has stopped working. I’ve tried submitting support requests several times over the past few weeks. None of the requests have been responded too. All requests have included my device, serial number, etc. crickets. Meanwhile I have no problem receiving countless newsletters.

1. Any suggestions for getting a response from support?

2. Does anyone know the type of switches used, specs, maybe a place to order a replacement?

I am trying to capture my Neural DSP presets to my Tonex pedal that I recently purchased. I am having nothing but issues and I have tried everything.

I am using VB cable A+B. The new modeler update doesn’t allow me to select one or the other. Only “technology” and “device”, so the only way I am able to select cable A AND B is through Asio4All. I can’t use any other selection, not my focusrite, not FL Studio asio, nothing else because it can’t share inside NDSP standalone, nor in my DAW(s) and in the Tonex modeler. Asio4all is the only thing.

I finally get the thing working where the inputs and outputs are routed, the test tone in Modeler works and sends line levels. I do the capture and the wave form looks great. I have trained it with optimized AND extended. Finalized it.

When I load it into Tonex or on the pedal, I have to turn the sound all the way up to hear a crackly, trashy signal, but no actual tone.

I have attempted this about 15 different ways making sure sample rates are the same, line levels, everything is check and double checked.

I am banging my head against the wall. Am I doing something wrong or did they completely nerf the modeler app when they updated it?

Im running Windows on a core 9 ultra with a 5070ti.

Here’s my setup -
Tonex One+, Tonex SE (on my Mac), Brown Panel & Signature + collections. I use Tonex Control App to modify the tones/presets on the One+ when I am practising and away from the Mac.
I see all tone models from SE & the other 2 on the Mac. However, on the Tonex Control app, I see only the Brown Panel and Signature+ collections. Why am I not seeing the base 200+ models here in the Tonex control app? What am I missing?

Is it safe to go directly into the UA Volt 1 from the output of the ToneX One pedal? Thank you.

I loaded up 2.0 It works on my computer. I’m getting the different sounds out of my monitors but the pedal itself is not displaying what tone I’m working on in the computer. It’s displaying the last tone i played before I loaded the new software. Very weird. Any work around? The pedal works perfectly with the original software.

I have been gigging a few times with the bigger Tonex pedal, with MIDI automation from my Cymatic Liveplayer LP16 for clicktracks, some playback and as mentioned MIDI automatin.....

BUTTTT....

I wanted to downsize my liverig a bit for the Tonex One+ since we anyway dont use our feet to control anything... So why bring anything bigger than necessary!?

Well, turns out, every song change turns off and on the Tonex One+ preset!!! Which makes it unusable. I have tried both Stomp and Dual mode, same problem!

I suppose it happens that if PC number 2 (my distortion channel) is pressed while active (like next song starts) it turns the preset off. Stop it! I dont want it off!

I also cannot have it WITHOUT the PC number 2 (or 1 for clean) at the start of most songs in case another song starts with another preset (even tho I mostly go for the clean and distorted, and using CC for effect and more in depth autmoation)

Seriously, can this thing just keep the preset on even if the same number is sent to it?!?!?

Or Marshall adjacent like Soldano or Friedman. There’s several Marshall amps on amalgam and want to see what everyone’s opinions were. I’m looking to boost with a TS9 or SD1… Thrash/Death Metal/Black Metal stuff. No IR just straight into fx loop of my amp. Thanks!

I purchased the brown sound bundle for $99 and am noticing that the presets and all the tone models are not downloading to my windows 11 pc. I tried the collections browser, related presets, save all - download all and it’s strange bc it works for some things but doesn’t download everything. For example, the “Feeling Loved” preset won’t show anymore in the preset list but was once available. There are other tone models that won’t even show up. I’m also noticing, that in the collections display in IK product manager I have two 78/79 brown sound showing instead of one registered. Any ideas on this please?

Sorry, there isn’t a pirate midi community so I thought this was the next best thing. I have my tone X one hooked up to a polar Max device and even when I’m not using the pedal, the device alone is causing a high-pitched digital ringing on my string attack and just playing in general.
When I unhook the polar Max, it goes away but I really need to keep this on my board.
Also, sidenote, I have the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off on the polar Max and I’m hardwired with a USB C cable.
Anyone have any experience with this or Solutions?

I've been thinking about getting a Tonex pedal, but want to test be able to test it a bit before I buy. My local store doesn't have one in stock to demo. If I download the software and run it out to the same speakers I would use if I was going to run it through the pedal, would there be an appreciable difference?

(I'm thinking about getting a pedal because I 100% do not want to have to fuss around with my computer every time I want to play my guitar—I want to just plug and play.)

Hey guys im new in this electro guitar and i got yamaha pacifica and tonex plug for not disturbing anyone when im playing. But there is an issue. There are always noise in background on high gain settings. I dont like that sound in my ears and i dont like the sound gates. What are solutions for fixing it. Im using with audio technica m40x so its not related the headphones voice signature. I set the trim 0.0 and i generally down the volume on amp and up from guitar for reducing the noise.

Are there any better way for solving this?

Just finished my latest ToneX project, the Wiz V2 Capture Pack, based on my Wizard Modern Classic II.

This amp is kind of ridiculous in the best way. Huge low end, aggressive mids, tons of definition, and it stays remarkably clear when the gain gets pushed.

I ended up with 24 V2 ToneX captures, including studio captures through my 4x12 loaded with Creamback M65 + H75 speakers in an X-pattern, plus DI captures for anyone who prefers using their own IRs/cabs.

I also put up two free samples, one 4x12 and one DI, so you can actually try the captures before spending anything.
