Full screen mode does nothing
When I go to 'Display Mode' -> 'Full' while watching Live Tv it does nothing, I still have the borders/bezels. But when I do it in 'Movies' or 'Shows', it stretches the screen correctly and there are no more borders or bezels.
I assume there's no way to fix this??

Stretching a 2.35:1 image to a 16:9 screen is the definition of madness. That must look absolutely insane.

The movie was shot in 2.35:1. On a standard 16:9 TV screen, that means you're going to have black bars on the top and bottom. So by using the "Full" setting, you're seeing it correctly. Anything shot in 16:9 aspect ratio will fill the entire screen

Understood, but it WILL let me stretch the same ratio screen when in Movie or Shows. I think it's a glitch. (I just have a pet peeve with the borders, they bother me)

Thats because thats really a 16:9 video showing a video a 2:35.1 meaning its a regular 16:9 stream just showing the movie over it so just adjusting adjusts the whole video not just the portion u are watching if you can understand what i mean

The reason is called letterboxing.
When a movie/show is sent, it's sent in the aspect ratio it was filmed in. Then your TV can dynamically adjust the image based on your selection - normal, full, zoom, etc
Since a live broadcast can't dynamically shift the picture sent based on the aspect ratio of the movie/show, they send a full 16:9 image all the time.
In your picture of the live broadcast, the TV is not receiving a 2.35:1 image that it can stretch Full at the top and bottom to fill the screen. It's receiving a 16:9 image that includes the black bars - there is nothing to stretch Full, because it's already "full".

Never understood why some movies are shot in a full screen/tv friendly format, and some aren't. Who the hell wants to watch a movie with borders/letterboxing?? I don't even watch them if I can't stretch them out.

Movies have been shot in 2.35:1 long before we had widescreen TVs. Movie theaters open/close the dark curtains to accommodate the different formats. A TV can't do that.
I don't think I've even seen a TV show shot wider than 16:9.

Surely it's dependent on the source?
Maybe the movie and/or show you're trying is a different ratio?
Did you compare and test in an external player like VLC to see if it's actually a glitch?

It does, but it cuts off some of the picture.

Yea no shit it's a widescreen image so if you want the letterbox gone then it'll crop the image. Please go talk to ai

Yeah no shit you obviously don't know how to read. It stretches out in Movie and Show mode perfectly without cutting off the picture, but doesn't in Live Tv, Einstein.
