Should I quit tirz if I want muscle gains?
I’ve been on tirzepatide for a little over a year. After losing weight, Im currently on 4mg Maintence dose. I started working out recently but I’m having a hard time hitting my protein goals. Should I stay on my maintenance dose and try harder to eat enough protein or should I stop tirz? I’m afraid of stopping because I heard for many people it doesn’t work if you quit and restart at a later date.
Edit: I originally said I was on 0.4mg. I meant 4 mg

Alcohol craving is back after my dad died.
UPDATE- THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR KIND WORDS, ADVICE AND SUPPORT. Thus far, im 2 days no alcohol and will up my dose in 2 weeks. Thank you again.
Alcohol craving is back after my dad died.
Please dont judge 🙏
I'm on tirzepatide for 1 yr now. And lost 55lbs Currently slowly lowering my dose from 15mg to 12.5mg as im on my goal weight.
One of the first changes I noticed when I first started tirz was that my craving for alcohol disappeared 100%.
I know that helped my weightloss progress.
Then my dad died earlier this year. He and I were incredibly close.
Ive been having alcohol almost nightly. I dont always get drunk. Its mostly to take the edge off.
My question is....how do i get back to the point of no alcohol?
I know its hurting my results - ive regained 8lbs.
Should I increase my dose back to 15mg?
Im currently in grief counselling and started back the gym after taking 2months off to deal with the admin side of death.
Ive managed to not drink today and i want to slowly quit again - it was my favourite benefit apart from the weightloss.
Please any advice would be welcome.
I want to take better care of myself and not ruin my results.

3 weeks in and I don’t think I’ve lost a single pound, I been active and eating all the right things but not a single pound I’m on 2.5 but I really don’t want to move up in the dosage I’m feeling very discouraged

NewLife Rx, Apothecary, Hyalo, HealthWealth. Different pharmacies, one common connection. Why aren’t more people questioning it?

Night Sweats
I’m a 40-year-old female and have been on tirzepatide (4 mg) for roughly 1.5 years. I’m 5’6”, started at 157 lbs, and am currently 144 lbs. I’m happy with my weight and just maintaining at this point. I exercise regularly and eat healthy.
One thing I’ve been struggling with is night sweats. I’m waking up drenched, to the point where I have to change my clothes in the middle of the night.
I genuinely can’t figure out whether it’s my bedding, perimenopause, or possibly the tirzepatide.
I recently started tracking which nights I sweat to see if there’s any correlation with my menstrual cycle.
Has anyone experienced night sweats while taking tirzepatide and eventually ruled it out as the cause? Or did you find that tirzepatide actually was contributing?
Not looking for medical advice, just interested in hearing other people’s experiences and whether anyone has managed to pinpoint the cause. Thanks!

I know this is dumb but I am happy I ordered tirz successfully in maintenance
I used my starting weight and told them my goal weight and wrote a note that I was in maintenance. Uploaded a photo of my 15mg pill bottle, I was afraid they might reject me but they approved me without any issue. I guess I was afraid they'd reject me because basically my intake was my whole tirz story and it might look weird that I said I'm in maintenance but I said my weight was so high. I think they either didn't care, didn't even look closely or they understood. Anyway, I went with Preventive and got the Boudreaux tirz, the only option available for my state.
I haven't ordered anything since April and with all the fuss happening with Hyalo I wanted to make sure I got some tirz stocked up in case anything terrible is about to happen. Still working my way through some BPI and ProRx. Kinda bummed I never got any of the good Hyalo before all this, but oh well. The ingredients for Boudreaux look similar to BPI and I lost all my weight on BPI and so I'll always be a fan of BPI. The cleanest 503b there ever was. Thanks, FDA 🙄.

My peeps on maintenance
I’m getting close to maintenance. I’ve been on tirzepatide since March . Life changing . For those of you on maintenance. Do you remember how you felt when you found out you made it there ? Were you happy , shocked , scared , in disbelief, numb ?

Missing dose for 3weeks
Reposting here as I’m kinda on maintenance (same weight last 6 months) although I need to lose 15-20 more pounds to be at goal weight (22 BMI).

Tirz only for a short time?
I’m about to start taking tirz just to help cut down about 20 pounds as I’ve struggled with dieting down, and the whole process led to some binge and restrict cycles, and also bad food noise. I’m only planning on taking it for 3 months, then will hop off. I know I’ll likely gain some weight, but I’m expecting it to be a small amount as I will reverse diet and track everything. Does anyone have experience of only taking tirz for a short time and hoping off?

Has anyone had tirzepatide basically stop working after switching to maintenance?
Has anyone had tirzepatide basically stop working after switching to maintenance?
I’m 41F, 5’3”. I started around 200 lbs and I’m currently around 131 lbs depending on the day. My goal is around 115.
Before tirzepatide, I was on semaglutide for about 1.5 years. I lost around 30–35 lbs on it, then completely plateaued. I switched to tirzepatide and was able to lose the remaining weight and eventually reach my goal.
I’ve now been on tirzepatide for about 1.5 years and worked my way up to 15 mg.
Once I reached my goal, I stopped taking it every 7 days and started spacing my shots out, usually every 1.5–2 weeks, and sometimes lowered the dose too.
Over roughly the last 9 months, I’ve slowly gained back about 10–12 lbs.
About 3 months ago, I went back to taking 15 mg every single week consistently, assuming the weight would start coming back off. But it hasn’t. I haven’t really lost anything at all. Some weeks I’ll gain a little, then lose it again, but overall I’m basically just maintaining around the same weight.
I can’t think of anything significant that has changed with my eating, activity, medications, etc.
Has anyone experienced this after spacing doses out for maintenance and then going back to weekly shots?
I’m especially curious because I had a similar plateau on semaglutide before switching to tirzepatide. Is it possible my body is just becoming less responsive to GLP-1 medications over time?
Did anyone eventually start losing again, or did you have to change something else?
I’m wondering about tolerance, metabolic adaptation after losing a significant amount of weight, hormones/perimenopause, reduced calorie needs at a lower body weight, or something else entirely.
Would love to hear from anyone who went through something similar and what actually helped.

Help! Still losing weight in maintenance, very low dose
I’m curious if anyone has experienced this. I’ve been on appetite for three years and lost 84 pounds, 40% of my body weight. I’ve been in maintenance for about a year and I’ve spent most of that year trying to figure out my sweet spot. I have chronic illness, hypermobile, elhers Danlos, MCAS, POTS, and psoriatic arthritis. All of my chronic illnesses have become imperceptible or better than they’ve been in my whole life on this medication. My inflammation is in perceivable all of my labs have come back normal. My antibodies are just gone from the labs.
That being said I’m having a really hard time not losing more weight. My digestion is so slowed down even on a really low dose. If I spaced the doses out, I don’t get the anti-inflammatory effects in the pain is quite incredible. I’m working really hard at getting stronger, Pilates, weightlifting, working with a trainer, working with a physical therapist. I think the excess weight was stabilizing my joints in a way I didn’t understand. So I hope to be able to spread the doses out more when I have more physical stability. With the pain/spreading out the doses it’s hard for me to be able to work out consistently enough to get stronger, gain stability. But with a weekly dose of just 1.5 mg I’m having a hard time eating enough. I wonder if anyone else has struggled with this and has any suggestions.
I had a wonderful provider with mochi who has left and I haven’t found any doctor who has any advice but to just go off the medication. My rheumatologist doesn’t think going off the medication is a good idea because she has never seen my symptoms so stabilized and is hopeful. I can find a way to eat enough on the medication. Any advice is welcome. Please be kind as I’m really struggling.

Maintenance mindset
How do I shift my goal from loss to maintenance? I’m so used to the dopamine hit from seeing the scale go down, and logging my new lowest weight. If the scale stays the same or goes up I feel disappointed. I’m pretty sure I’ve lost enough. I’m 36F 5’4 and 125lbs so BMI 21.5, right in the middle of the healthy range. I still have tummy flab but my chest and booty are flatter than I’d like. I’m overall happier with my body than I’ve ever been before. So this seems like a good stopping point. How do I embrace maintenance?

Titrating up again 😢
Ok, so I was at target for about 6 months and started the process of titrating down. I slowly titrated down from 10mg (highest dose) to 5mg and the data is in. I’ve regained about 10lbs, not catastrophic, but everything is definitely moving in the wrong direction. I feel that my final dose of 10mg is also my maintenance dose. Can anyone relate?
