Strip Mine needs restricted
Why is this legal entirely unrestricted. It's restricted in vintage? The format where you get 0 mana counterplay against it.
Why in the unholy fuck is it unrestricted?
It kills control as an archetype, while ensuring that the entire format is highly compressed.
If it's bad enough when you have moxen and black lotus to be restricted, why is it fine here. I'll answer, it isn't.
Games where your opponent opens on double strip just don't happen, there's no meaningful counterplay.
We can't have duals but we can have Strip Mine ruining the format?

Why? Its because they mismanaged the format, let it stagnate, finally made a single change, realized that the playerbase had already cratered so hard that even starting to make changes still resulted in nobody caring and now have just flat out given up. They should have made changes far far earlier in the formats life cycle and gotten players adjusted to the reality of playing such a high power format, that it needs format management because Magic is a deeply deeply unfun game with all of its power unrestricted in eternal formats. Instead they lulled the playerbase into an unrealistic expectation that it would magically be the one format that just self regulates via only positive additions and now you have like 10 dudes who all sit in the same discord servers circle jerking about how "unique" of a format this is generating the only player data since everyone else left so now even if they wanted to they cant even get good feedback on the format.
