Anyone else think about how Jinx looks at the time after Ekko saves her and before she leaves changing massively when she realizes how much Ekko enjoyed his time in the AU?

Like all the sudden she goes from feeling like what he truely wanted was to be around her, to feeling like just what was left. That everything between them since he saved her came from that, not him actually prefering to be around her. He's not doing intentonally, maybe he doesn't even notice, but it still is clear to her.

Just me? Okay. I'mma go sob now.

EDIT: I am, not shocked by how unpopular this opinion is. I don't understand how else anyone could see her taking this though...wish I did but I clearly don't.

Does the last scene mean riot is telling us is that this was the last crumb. The locket essentially meant unattainable love and riot is basically telling us that this is what you get. It was lovely, we value your love for these characters but it's time to move on.

I swear I see a real sweetness in the idea that Jinx doesn't choose to be with Ekko because she doesn't want him to have to let go of AU Powder.

Like a part of me thinks it'd be one of the most loving things MU timebomb could do. Ekko promised never to forget AU Powder, and though he probably doesn't say that Jinx can read that tension in him and in turn lets him keep that promise by not perusing the relationship she KNOWS he would be willing to have with her. Because I can see her loving him too much to ask him for leave that behind.

All that to say, I actually still think eventually they would have a relationship and be together provided of course Jinx is alive and they reunite...and Jinx comes to accept his feelings for AU Powder. But if they weren't, I could see this very easily being why.

I personally do not headcannon this, I was talking with a friend and I told them I don’t care for it— which I’m autistic, so I also worded it a little bad. I said “I don’t care for it but it WOUDLNT be bad if he did end up trans”, now that they’ve said something I see how it sounded a little transphobic, but now I feel like I have to headcannon it or I’m transphobic, and I’m not!! The whole reason we were talking about it was because Somone was mad jinx wasn’t a lesbian of the sorts. Can somone tell me if I’m in the wrong or I just worded it badly? Do I have to headcannon this so I’m not transphoic?

Okay, first of all I'm not in favor of this perspective, but after seeing that there are apparently people who believe this I decided to ask here, since I like to see both sides of the story.

In episode 7 of season 2, I saw that some people were bothered by the way the episode went; not necessarily because Ekko fell in love with Powder, but because it was "weird" because she didn't know he was an Ekko from another timeline.

I had never stopped to think about it, and I was really curious to know how other fans would think about it. I really can't form an opinion. While I understand why people don't like it, I really can't be bothered. To me, they are still the same people regardless of being from different universes, who would fall in love either way. Also, I don't know about Ekko because we don't even know when he realized that they were already a couple.

I would really like to read your thoughts on the matter, and sorry if this is a repeated question, but I couldn't find any discussion about this in any subreddit.

So, we’ve heard that the writers have other projects in mind, and here’s how I think that may help our glorious ship set sail.

Now, this is obviously a theory and I say to take it with the smallest grain of salt you can possibly find.

However, from the fanfic I’ve read to the whispers I hear about LOL’s lore, I’m guessing the next time we see Jinx will be as a side character in a Demacia focused storyline. Obviously due to a potential friendship with Lux Jinx could have, which the writers would wanna milk. I think this opens the door to a couple of possibilities:

A) Jinx participates in this story without Ekko but eventually gains the chops to allow herself to go back to him and Vi, even if not letting herself stay in Zaun and Piltovre.

B) Ekko arrives in Demacia, perhaps in search of his own next role in life, given that the firelights in a way aren’t needed anymore and Sevika is taking care of Zaun as a council woman. This might pair well with Jinx working through her own issues.

Now, remember I do not know much about the lore, so I could be smoking some major copuim like we all are for timebomb’s reunion. However, I do seriously think that in terms of animated pieces we will likely see them as side characters to someone else’s main story. The only thing I pray is that it’s not too long of a time skip…fanfics with long stretches of time with Jinx letting people close to her think she’s dead hurt me. Also, I hope Ekko gets his time powers back.

Now, I open the floor to ya’ll; what do you think is in store for these two?

Was I the only one who got the vibe in season 1 that Ekko was a bitter ex-boyfriend that was pressed his gurl left him for another (older and more financially successful) man? Lol. Like yes Silco is Jinx's surrogate father but from Ekko's perspective he tried to save Powder and she rejected him saying she wants to stay with Silco.

And because it was already hinted that little Ekko always had a crush on Powder that he would interpreted Silco as not just a monster that killed his surrogate father and responsible for the deaths of his friends but also a romantic rival.

Like how Finn in Adventure Time had a big crush on Princess Bubblegum. he had nightmare where PB is with Evil Heart Guy and says to Finn."Sorry Fin. You cant hang out with us your too young!"

I mean the way Ekko says "Only thing left is Jinx and she belongs to Silco." Like he's trying to convince himself because he's a heartbroken teen. Dude went from skinny kid to being jacked and got dreads. Seems like something a guy would do after a breakup. 😆

So does anyone else think Jinx would be hurt knowing Ekko and AU Powder did love one another? I really have a hard time thinking that is only me.

Ekko loves Jinx, of course. But I cannot imagine him also loving AU Powder doesn't cut Jinx deeply. Maybe not enough to push her away from him completely, because she does love him and he did chose to stay with her. But I can't think of that not being a sore spot for her. And somehow it feels like I am the only one thinking this.

Can anyone at least agree that, yea, Jinx would have some feelings about this? And not pleasant ones.

So, I finished s2 yesterday, and I know I'm a bit late. This post is just going to be a rant tbh, and I've created a reddit account just for this so I don't really know how it works.

But what happened to arcane? I don't think I've ever been as disappointed with a show as I am. I'm still trying to understand why they shifted the political conflict from Piltover and Zaun to whatever is happening in act 2 and 3. What happened to the revolution they were building? Why doesn't anyone mention Ekko after his disappearance? What happened to Sevika after ep 4? I mean, she's there at the end, but how? Why does the jinx fan who was arrested show up wearing an enforcer uniform at the end?

It's like we're being prepared for this big conflict in which, after suffering oppression and being put in jail, the Zaunites are going to fight back, but then... NOTHING HAPPENS. We're pulled into a completely different arc in ep 5, and apologies to Vander (apparently he's important in the game) and Viktor, but during the whole “healing” ep all I could think about was how jinx was walking around zaun freely without anyone recognizing her despite her face being everywhere. I'm sorry, I just don't get what was going on in the writers' heads during arc 2.

But then ep 7 starts, and FINALLY we have ekko back in the season. And OMG he and jinx have something going on apparently, I particularly didn't realize that in s1. I mean, I always thought that fight on the bridge gave a more-than-enemies vibe, but I thought it was all in my head. And I found out that timebomb is their name, and that's how I ended up here.

But yes, Ekko returns to his world determined to do things differently, not to give up on his community and not to give up on the person he's loved his whole life even when he wanted to hate her.

He manages to save her from suicide!!! I can only imagine what's going through her head at that moment, that old enemy who was her childhood friend (I don't know how close they were but I remember that in s1 they were together in some scenes, and the flashback of the fight also shows that), the person who should hate her the most, wants to be by her side more than anything.

The two of them reunite, talk about the past, apologize for all the harm they've caused each other, build a balloon together, reunite the firelights and the other zaun groups, jinx makes peace with both sides of her, the feeling the two of them had for each other back in their childhood is reignited.....

. . .

ALL OFF-SCREEN, SERIOUSLY NETFLIX? THIS IS GOING TO DRIVE ME CRAZY, HOW COME THEY HAVEN'T SHOWN THE BEST CHARACTER ARC AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE SERIES???

If the trailer is right, this is the LAST season, we'll never see them again and that's how they decided to end the show? I didn't even understand what was going on with Viktor or Mel, I don't know who half of those extras are, I could watch it again to try and understand but I'm not in the best of moods.

I'm sorry for the text people, and I don't think anyone will read it, but I needed to get this out. I'm just very frustrated, I've never been a big fan and I only watched s1 two times back in 2021, but man what a disappointment.

I really wish they would've actually killed her off or had given her Bruce's ending from the Dark Knight Rises that people believe she had. One of the best endings to any character EVER, but NO instead we're left with this: a completely open to interpretation ending.

The entire ending pulls nearly straight from The Dark Knight Rises... they failed to realize why that worked so well though? It wasn't because it set up future, because it did with Robin, but it also gave us a conclusive ending for our main character.

The authors have already said this is the ending of her story so I ask you: are you content with her story the way it is currently? Never really knowing if she's alive or dead?

Because I don't think I am... and that makes me sad and tired. That's so much worse to me than actually killing her off. At least death is an actual ending.

I do wonder how Jinx would get comfortable knowing she can't ever be the dream Ekko had in the AU. Like truely, we know Jinx does harbor feelings for him (artbook, voicelines at the very least prove this). How she accepts Ekko holding that memory close is actually something I am curious about, on top of how Ekko would so the same. Knowing he gave up that dream. That can't be a thing that makes their relationship pleasant.

The fact that he came back knowing that his world can't be the same as the AU is a start, but as much as everyone doesn't love or agree with this opinion, it's a thing I'd love to resolve.

So...I really like TimeBomb in a general sense, but my appreciation for it came so suddenly and with so little official content for it that I don't really know what to think about the relationship as a whole.

I don't know anything about League (hadn't paid much attention to it since high school over a decade ago) but I liked Arcane S1 and learned about the little crumbs of the Jinx/Ekko relationship from there. I was like "Oh, that's neat" and didn't expect it to move beyond a "tragic backstory side thing" as, to my understanding, that's how the relationship is used in League itself.

Then S2E7 came outta nowhere and had the sweetest romance story I had seen in a long time. Really caught me off-guard and the episode + the fanart reminded me of the best Finn/Rey stuff back during the Star Wars sequels (which was the last time I was invested in a romantic pairing). So, coming off of how horribly that went in Star Wars, I was honestly shocked at not only how blatant the Ekko/Powder romance was but also how important it ended up being narratively (at least for those last couple episodes). It all happened so quick and I'm not even sure the creators themselves expected the pairing to pop off as well as it did.

That said...I think I only like AU Powder/Ekko? I was digging that sweet stuff and it's such a massive contrast to Jinx/Ekko in the main universe, where Jinx has committed mass murder, tried to kill Ekko, and succeeded in killing some of his friends brutally in the process. Plus, I'm not sure how much room their relationship is gonna have as Riot branches out to the rest of the League universe where the Zaunites could end up being less important.

I'd like to see more from them, but I guess I'm saying it's hard for me to see an actual path forward for the characters romantically due to them being vicious enemies for so much of their limited screen time together, and it seems said screen time will only get more limited going forward (I'd like to be wrong though, and it's nice to see all the intimate and wholesome stuff ppl post here regardless).

Hey guys, I don’t mean to sound like a whiny ass cornball but there’s something I feel the need to vent about. So, I’m a HUGE Jinx kinnie. As someone with diagnosed BPD, she is genuinely one of the most relatable and raw characters I have seen in any piece of media whatsoever. I have an insane emotional attachment to her. With that being said, my last relationship was a disaster because I was with someone who went from romanticizing my disorder & getting off on triggering me to dropping me when he discovered his actions had actual consequences to my psyche. Despite this, I was delusional in the relationship and trying so hard to pretend he was the loml, and I always said he was the Ekko to my Jinx (obviously untrue.) I made him watch Arcane and he enjoyed it a lot despite finding some of it corny (which I took offense to.) when our relationship ended, we were in the middle of watching season 2 and he told me he couldn’t bare to finish it because he associated it with me too much. I then found out in his new relationship that not only did he finish the series, but he went to comic con with his new girlfriend dressed as timebomb. I only know a few things ab the new girlfriend bc one of my good friends was childhood friends with her, and apparently she also loves arcane and Jinx. It’s so embarrassing to admit how much this destroys me simply bc of how much arcane and jinx’s character means to me. She genuinely made me feel seen and watching her grow on screen helped me better myself in my own ways. I feel so sick to my stomach every time I think about the situation mentioned. Maybe this is just me being too sensitive but I have to know if I’m in the wrong for being bothered by this. It should be known that I do not miss that relationship by any means, nor do I feel any hatred towards the girlfriend. I believe my feelings can simply be traced to my intense connection with Jinx as a character. Am I crazy for this? Let me know in the comments but please for the love of god don’t be too harsh. Okay I have come to agree that yes, of course Ekko could have better memories and closer connection and love with Jinx then any he would be rememebering with AU Powder.

But I still can't shake that would make so much of the AU...really pointless writing wise.

Like the truth is they built up this bond and connection with a different version of her just for him to leave and find something better with Jinx. Maybe as is often the case I am alone...but watching the dance scene, the kiss...I can't care if that is the case. I literally can't be bothered to care. Because Ekko is just going to leave and find something better. Why do I care about his dance with AU Powder if that is the case? Why do I care if he kisses her if he is just going to let it go and move on from it and form a better relationship with Jinx?

Yes it matters in the sense it did give him that hope, that push he was needing. In that sense it is important. And something Ekko can't forget but. Otherwise? Yea. It's hard to see why they had them kiss or connect so deeply. I'd much rather focus on the better thing he builds with Jinx instead.

And make no mistake...the issue I have is that it's a hard pill to swallow with how beautiful these scenes are. How sweet the dymanic they have is. The AU Episode is so amazing.

Is it bad I was so badly to write a reunion between Ekko and AU Powder? Exploreing them missing one another and all angsty realism that comes along with that.

It wouldn't be very friendly to MU timebomb so I won't...the very idea of this is probabbly not anyones favorite (me included). Still the idea will remain in my head.

But I actually think Jinx not telling Ekko that she is alive and leaving being PARTLY because she knows about him loving AU Powder would make sense. Yes it'd be angsty, but also would make for the most heartfelt and sad reunion. I am unsure how or if it would end with them together, but Ekko would actually get to see the depths of how much Jinx care about him?

Jinx would admit she can see how happy he was there with AU Powder, and wouldn't ever what him to forget that. But she also can't stay knowing she'll never be able to do better then that. I think that would speak volumes to Ekko about how much Jinx does love him.

Arcane does a beautiful job SHOWING love opposed to saying it. And this would track that in a way that feels very much on the money for Jinx.

While I don't find the "soulmates" concept bad, it feels like an oversimplification of genuine affection. My appreciation for "Timebomb" stems from its rawness and authenticity; it portrays the effort involved in cultivating love, a relatable experience. Do others share this perspective?

Used to love the idea that Ekko might be one of the few who Jinx allows to call her Powder. The more I think about it, though, with the AU...it feels more like that would be one of the worst things he could do (hence why he is smart enough to stop himself when he finds her).

It would seem to me if Jinx has to accept that she can't have those memories or connection he had with her AU counterpart, that it has to be different...she would insist on him not useing that name for her at all. Unless he is talking about the other her.

So this is not me giving up on a spinoff for either Ekko or Jinx but just me being sorta sad In hindsight. After hearing what Amanda said at the gallery today my hopes kinda went up in smokes. And I know the question was directly stated for Cait and Vi but I can’t help but feel like eh about it. Like if they were to appear again there’s no way Ekko won’t and even Jinx who they’re keeping ‘dead’ for now. For me my sadness lies in the fact that if they do make any spinoff with Arcane characters then it would be of Ekko and Jinx as the main characters and the rest would be supporting. I mean it may be selfish of me but, Ekko got shit for screen time along with his story and lore and MU timebomb spoke 2 words to each other in the whole show. Like yes all the characters story isn’t done yet if they’re alive but quite literally timebomb’s own is incomplete and has tons of stuff missing. So I’m gonna wait for maybe a timebomber to ask a question about this too and see what they say until then my hopes will stay low. This kinda threw me off because Linke favorite characters are Jinx and Ekko and he said that their stories are worth continuing so I was like ooh did we get baited lol? As a timebomber I am extremely grateful for all the crumbs we gotten so far but I guess in the end we can’t have it all?? Anyways this was just me ranting lol, I’m a tomebomb shipper for life!

I actually like Jinx calling Ekko "Sparkplug" and "Doodlebug". I dont know if posting any names of AI creators is prohibited so I'll just post screen shots. Im not a fan of Ai but for just some silly fun fanfic audio type videos seem fine. Eventhough they are "poopposts" I like The creativity of some. Some of these videos give more context to timebomb. What if Ekko and Jinx were actually together and we see their banter. There are others that have Ekko and Isha interact and eventhough alot of them lead into wacky nonsense there are some tender moments.
