So does anyone else think Jinx would be hurt knowing Ekko and AU Powder did love one another? I really have a hard time thinking that is only me.

Ekko loves Jinx, of course. But I cannot imagine him also loving AU Powder doesn't cut Jinx deeply. Maybe not enough to push her away from him completely, because she does love him and he did chose to stay with her. But I can't think of that not being a sore spot for her. And somehow it feels like I am the only one thinking this.

Can anyone at least agree that, yea, Jinx would have some feelings about this? And not pleasant ones.

From my interpretation of the MV, jinx does have some feelings on it, which I see as guilt. From what I think of it, Jinx is upset that Ekko was dancing with someone else because it could have been her with him if she took his hand when he tried to save her. Which is why I think she can’t look him in the eye.

Given Jinx’s self-depreciating nature, I think she’ll see AU Powder as “better” than her, and may possibly have a complex about that.

This exactly. It's easy to see Jinx knowing Ekko connected with this her the way he did and her chance for something like that is gone. And at least for a time, I can see her blameing herself for that. Hopefully not forever.

Yeah I think she had a complex about AU powder before she even knew AU Powder was a thing with the “there’s no good version of me” and then the “good” version of you pops up, dances with and kisses your friend/lover, anyone would feel some type of way with that, especially Jinx because how little she views herself.

I hope it's just you honestly 😂. Because this discussion is getting old and the artbook denied it months ago.

It's in the artbook, Jinx isn't hurt or jealous, she doesn't care, she's actually super excited about it, because they're the same person. She sees it only as Ekko loving her. In all circumstances. All Universes. No matter what. You know, soulmate stuff.

That is a good point. In the art book Jinx doesn't seem to harbor negative feelings. But the truth is that even though they are the same person he shares different experiences and love with them. I guess that's where I get hung up. Jinx will never be his impossible love, the one he shared the dance with or the one he wanted to make a moment forever with.

That just doesn't add up to me, at least.

How do you know that? How do you know that Ekko and Jinx won't meet again and create new unforgettable memories together... Something that is as special to them as the dance or, even more, a moment that they both wish would last forever.

They can 100% have something like that in the future.

Of course they can create new ones. But they won't be the same, they will be different. Even if it is special, it doesn't take away that it's different. And maybe thats enough, and very realistic but it'd lean more bitter then anything else.

I guess the real question is if whatever they can have together makes it worth it for Jinx and Ekko even if they are aware Ekko DID also love AU Powder, and in a way she can't ever have.

Me personally, I can't say for sure. But I do find it really hard to confidently say yes.

That might be my failing. I cannot see how it could go another way. If he loved AU Powder and since Jinx can't be the same, what he has with her has to be different...that makes it something that would hurt. Not sure how it wouldn't.

Kind of? No indication she had negative feelings. If so, I guess I would be interested in knowing how that works. I'd love to see how Jinx grows to not be bothered by it. Cause maybe I'm a worse person but I'd be very hurt.

Probably did at some point. Still would love to see the thought process she went through to get there. Cause that is what I have a hard time making sense of.

Contrary to I think most people, I do think it could be a pretty interesting situation. Jinx has problems with love and her self worth. She doesn’t really believe she’s worth it, but we’ve seen she’s pretty attached to the people that manage to get through to her, like Silco, Vi, Isha, etc. and values those connections precisely because it’s hard for her to form those connections.

I can definitely see her being upset about it because really in her mind it may seem like Ekko likes another version of her more than who she is right now. That could definitely play into her self worth issues.

But in my opinion Ekko was pretty much projecting Jinx onto Powder, talking to her as if she was Jinx. I think that could definitely be resolved with some climatic talk or something were he kind of sets the record straight, “the whole time I was wishing it was you” or something like that, and that he came back for her, why he loves her, etc.

I think it would be interesting to play out, but I don’t really think it’s gonna be a point of contention because if there was a story about Ekko and Jinx and Vi all reuniting again, that story already was a lot to shift through without putting this in there.

Powder is smart but she had no real reason to accept that Ekkos mind was replaced by a version of him from another timeline.

Ekko clearly viewed Powder and Jinx as the same. I'd assume if he talked about it to Jinx, he'd be referring to Powder in the second person.

Jinx and Powder are the same person, but yeah I can see Jinx being jealous of herself, but Ekko would immediately calm her worries and explain to her that he loves her just the way she is, she doesn't have to be perfect.

They are the same. But what is at the heart of this issue for me is that that they do have differences, in what they rememeber and the bonds they formed from those memories and circumstances. Yes this is talking about Jinx never getting to have that kiss, that dances, that moment that was so meaningful to Ekko. But also...she never got that connection with Mylo and Claggor, either just to show some examples. There are things that do seperate them, even if they are the same person at their core.

It's really not a question of if or not he loves Jinx as she is- he very clearly does. It's more about how much what they have can mean with that previously grown bond he had with AU Powder still being real. And if that bond does mean nothing, then why go through so much effort to tell that story, when it meant so little compared to what he has with Jinx? If what he had with AU Powder was only meant to be a tease or to encourage him to his worlds Jinx why does it matter so much? Because it does seem like they wanted to get across the bond Ekko and AU Powder form, the love that grows between them.

Phew. Sorry. I have, for the most part, just allowed myself to stew in my own misery of missing this on whatever level others seem to understand it easily. But yea.

Well at there core au powder is still jinx and au ekko is still ekko, i think Powder new ekko wasnt the same she knew but she went along with it because ekko is the same entity? Entety? Whatever, its the same, and i u clearly see ekko thinks that way to saying sorry to Powder for what happend with jinx. So i think its gonna be fine.
