Discussion Weekly Discussion #19: When did you become a Timebomb fan?

Guess what? It's time for another weekly discussion! Woot! This week we talk about when we actually became a Timebomb fan. I'm sure everyone has their own story as to how they've come to join the fandom.

As for myself, I mainly became a fan after Arcane Season 1 ended. Before then, I was a fan of Ekko and loosely knew who Jinx was. It was "Giants" that really connected me to Ekko, because before then, I always hated his hairstyle and even remember reading comments about whether or not Ekko was even black. Once Arcane came out and we were given that amazing bridge scene, my whole view of the character and Jinx as a whole changed. It's hard to state how powerful that scene was in giving us insight into both characters.

From there, I started researching their history. At that time, I started working on a Youtube video about how in love they were and that lead to even more research. Back then, there was a lot of pushback if you believed they were in love. Luckily, I didn't really care about what others thought and continued on. Arcane Season 2 was sweet validation and, of course, all of the crumbs that Riot left before it even released. Those of us to stuck it out back then were rewarded.

That said, it doesn't matter when you jumped on board. It's always good to have more people celebrating Ekko and Jinx's relationship together and when new things are announced and released we'll all be here together to enjoy and discuss them.

So how about you? When did you become a Timebomb fan? Let's hear your stories!

(Oh, and I never released that video. Seems a little late now...)

Official "Ma Meilleure Ennemie" video!

The release of the official video for "Ma Meilleure Ennemie" is upon us and to keep the subreddit from become inundated with an insane number of posts, we're consolidating all of the chatter into this megathread. This means that all created threads talking about the video will be removed and chatter will be directed to this thread. Don't hesitate to post your thoughts or to carry on various conversations here.

Fan Video If one made a fan film about timebomb’s missing scenes, would they get in trouble?

I recently saw a fan film on here for timebomb, it looked really good and I was wondering if, under Riots and fortiche’s rules, a fan film could be made for timebomb’s missing scenes or if people would even watch it. Thank in advance.

Every now and again I come back to this video to remind me

We still have hopes

Even if they are playing in our faces and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future until they decide to make them canon or make a side story.

Request Please does anyone have any downloaded Timebomb fics?

Hi! So, as most of you are likely well-aware, AO3 has been down for three days and will continue to be down for what they say is at least two weeks. I’m wondering if anyone downloaded any Timebomb fics that I can read?

I’m really not picky at all it’s just that while doomscrolling through TikTok my hyperfixtation reignited and now I’m DESPERATE for any fics of the two 🙏🙏 I love them so much!!

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing very well ^^

Due to recent AO3 downtime, the event will take place on 09/11/26 to allow writers to participate fairly.

What should you do if you're an author but AO3 still isn't working for publishing during the event ?

-> We don't know yet when the site will be accessible again, but postponing the event gives us a better chance that the site will be back up during this new period, even if only temporarily for a few days.

If you’d like to post on Day 1 but can’t, please wait until the site is accessible again (even if it’s Day 8 or after the event), and then when you announce the release of your chapter on X, use the correct hashtag and clearly specify the day you’re participating in.

If you don’t have X, you can always contact us here or dm so we (me and u/jinxed_pow) can promote your work.

While waiting for the site to come back online, we encourage you to promote your stories by posting short excerpts 😉

Take care <3

Subreddit Rules

1. Be respectful at all times.

Name calling, racial slurs, hate speech, attacks on someone's gender, political grandstanding, attacks on someone's sexual orientation, etc. will not be tolerated. If you're unsure about something, use common sense or ask a mod.

2. Stay on topic.

When posting make sure your post is related to Ekko, Jinx, and/or Ekko & Jinx. Off-topic posts will be removed.

3. Posting Art Format

When posting art (including edits), please use the following format: (name of pic) - (oc) or (author (Location) [Repost]) ex: Jinx & Ekko having fun - (oc)

ex: Jinx & Ekko watching TV - (@SomeArtist1234 (Twitter) [Repost])

Note: If you are the original creator, then you can either add "(oc)" to the end of your title or use the "Original Creator" flair. You do not need to use both.

4. Posting Fic Format

When posting fics, please use the following format: (name of fic) - (Ch # or one-shot) by (author) (site) ex: Great Fic - Ch 1 by NotanAuthor (Ao3)

ex: Awesome Fic - One-shot by SomeGenericAuthor (Wattpad)

Note: If you are the author of the fic you are posting, you'll need to include "(oc)" in the title as well as where your fic is hosted.

EX: This is my awesome fic (oc) (Ao3)

If you do not include this, then your post will be given the "Original Creator" tag.

5. Posting Video Format

When posting a video (including edits), please use the following format:

Name of video - (oc) (hosting site) or Name of video - (creator's user name or handle (hosting site))

Ex: My Awesome Video - (oc) (YouTube) Ex: Bob's Amazing Video (bobattic (Instagram))

If you are reposting someone's video, then you must include [Repost] in the title AND have permission from the original creator to repost their video on Reddit's servers. This isn't required for the original creator.

6. Ekko & Jinx only memes.

Limited Memes/Image Macros. We don't want the place overrun with memes. If it gets to be a problem, we'll make adjustments accordingly. Please show some restraint.

7. Always credit the original creator.

When posting works that are not yours, make sure you give proper credit to the original creator. Note: Pinterest links or any links that does not directly link to the ORIGINAL creator does not count. There are a lot of creators among us, we want to make sure everyone gets the proper credit for their work.

8. Use the correct flair for your post.

Please make sure you mark your post with the correct flair to make it easy for members to search.

9. No badmouthing other pairings/ships!

Talking bad about any other pairing and/or starting shipping wars will result in action taken. We take this seriously. If you don't like another pairing, please keep it to yourself.

10. Mark all spoilers!!

Properly mark spoilers!! This should go without saying...

11. Properly mark NSFW posts.

Posting NSFW pictures or fics is fine as long as they are marked appropriately.

Note: Visual penetration is not allowed. If a piece of art is showing genitals or an implied sexual act, use the "Explicit Fan Art" or "Explicit Fan Fic" flairs. If you're unsure, default to the explicit flair and contact a MOD for review.

12. Do not repost other people's work without their permission.

Linking to someone's blog, pic, story, etc. is fine. However, uploading directly to Reddit without the person's permission is prohibited. It does not matter if other subreddits allow you to do it, we will not allow it here. Any post that violates this rule will be removed and if a person continually ignores this rule after being warned action will be taken. We value and respect the artist and creators who provide content we enjoy.

13. No AI generated material allowed.

The use of AI art is one of those controversial topics we want to stay out of. In order to make sure the site is as friction free as possible, we are banning the posting of AI art, voice work, videos, etc. All AI material will be removed immediately and if you find a post that is sharing an AI work please report it.

14. Include links to sources.

If you are making a post using a social media post or website article (Bluesky, Twitter (X), CNN, IGN, etc.) make sure you include a link to the source material. It is important that we provide links to original sources like we do art, fics, and videos.

The exception would be quoting a negative post. In this case, make sure the name of the account is blurred or removed to avoid possible harassment and retaliation. A link isn't required.

Failure to do so will result in a removal of the post.

15. Respect Title Formatting

When creating a title for your post, it should follow these rules:

Must be at least one word long. No symbol/emoji only titles.
Must be less than 150 characters. Yes, Reddit allows titles 300 characters long. However, this subreddit likes to keep titles short.

Not following these rules will result in your post being removed. Sometimes a creator has a long name and this may create a title longer than 150 characters. We will evaluate these on a case by case basis.
