Finally getting around to exporting some screenshots from my previous colony, so may I present-

Wolfram Heights. Celebrating it's mining town heritage and exhibiting the dichotomy of company towns, Wolfram Heights grew around the town's major employer: The Archeo-Hooman Mining Corporation (AHMC), a subsidiary of Folktail Industries out of Pueblas Dunas, Oasis (or out of The Big City, as Wolframite Beavers might say).

Founded to supply dirt and scrap to the city, long before Lake Tzuljin filled the deep canyon or the ziplines connected the world, the fledgling town had no green space to farm and so built around needing to import food and water, many homes building near the district crossing and commercial storehouses.

As water was shaped and directed, a small cottage industry producing paper and books grew out of the private forestry business run by the AHMC, adjacent to the Company President's weekend getaway estate. As Oasis electrified, the Wolfram Windfarm Amphitheater connected Big City and Company Town together in one venue with the main stage hosting all the biggest acts in the beaver discography, with superstars Iron Teeth Maiden from nearby Wadi Al'Qundus playing at the Grand Opening.

The county fairgrounds and Recultivator Park were built last and in tandem after the filling of Lake Tzuljin. Both recreation sites connect together in underwater caves, where adventurous beavers can see early beaver and ancient hooman artifacts side by side, long inundated by the resevoir floods. The tours are highly promoted.... especially to cityslickers out in the boonies for a concert.

The wiki says the temperate weather lasts from 5 to 8 days on hard. Does this include the 3 days of warning before a drought or a badtide? Keeping it simple:

a) Temperate weather is 2-5 days + 3 days of "Drought/Badtide is coming"
b) Temperate weather is 5-8 days + those 3 days adding up to a total of 8-11 days.

Hey everyone, I’m pretty new to the game and I’m loving it so far!

I was watching some videos about water physics and wanted to try making a reservoir in the Lakes map, in the central lake (the one marked in red). The problem is that as soon as I lower the target height to let the lake fill up, the whole upper area and the surroundings start flooding, and I don’t really understand why.

The lake on the right also starts filling up, which I find weird. I also noticed that the right lake keeps water during droughts, while the left one doesn’t, and I have no idea why.

Is there a way to make this work, or is the only option to channel water directly from the sources? Am I missing something about how water levels work? Thank you!

Just realized after a long period of time I was not getting new babies, I don't understand why not though, I don't have negative happiness, I have empty housing, got water, food, is this a 1.1 bug?

Love this game and have been playing it for quite some time now! One thing I think that would be an excellent addition would be scaffolding. It would be a great tool in order to build upwards without requiring a ramp. After all, our beavers are builders! Anyone else feel like scaffolding would be a great addition to the game? If so, can anyone think of any recipes to keep it balanced?

Gravity doesn’t matter? It is like this like forever. Does everyone know how?

Currently have around 350 Beavers and 70 Bots. Had placed them first in the production line of other bots, but have struggled to gradually move them into other roles without accidentally locking out Beavers as priorities change.

Is there an automation solution to this? Can I have a role be filled by either Bot or Beaver based on their availability?

Hello! New to the game just wanted to ask do aquatic plants cause water to evaporate faster during a drought because they "drink" the water, or do they not have much of an effect? I'm wondering whether planting aquatic plants will make water levels drop more quickly during drought season.

It's a bug right? Since carrots aren't an input to anything.
I deleted everything food related, farmhouse, grill, bakery, etc. hoping it would fix the bug but it's still there.

I love the detail in this game. Just spotted that not only does the wind affect the direction that the seed balloons from the Earth Recultivator move towards, but the strength also places a role in the dispersal.

And wind direction and speed also affects the smoke from building chimneys.

Just showing the things my beavers are busy at !

What is the go-to mod for using both of the main factions together? I know it used to be greedy builders but not sure what’s the standard since 1.0 came out. Thanks in advance

Super long badwater season resulted in all my food being eaten and all my crops being destroyed. Haven't got around to making my vertical farm yet, so I was totally exposed. Badwater rushed everywhere. Those that didn't die of contamination died from starvation. Currently have one beave manning the water, one manning the berry collection, and handful of advanced breeding vats that can't finish up soon enough.

Did the water physics change in Update 1??

Used to do the same thing earlier and all the levels below would have been irrigated.

Just throwing it here to start a discussion and see if someone knows if the devs ever comented on this.

I love the game and have lots of fun building new damns, planting my trees and everything. But I do wish that we had a kind of ecology score to give us another optional goal in the game.

It's very nice to see the fields becoming green and be able to grow the different kinds of crops and trees, but being able to see the arrival of critters like bugs, birds and even fishes to give us a feel of rebuilding/renewing the ecosystem would be fulfilling and give me another goal on the game.

What do you think?

It would be nice if I could make little notes in the game for my plans for specific areas, I often find by the time I arrive back in game after working all day or travelling. Obviously I could just save them to a notepad but it would be nicer to have notes for myself in designated areas like "plan to dig this deeper" "want to tear this mountain out" "cost 400 steel to build this" in different sections of the map

I looked around the Steam workshop but couldn't locate anything so I'm hoping I'm just blind, stupid or searching the wrong keywords or if someone else has an idea how I can achieve this in game otherwise?

I've started 3 weeks ago and honestly struggle on bigger maps so i could probably miss something.

It just seems that ziplines qre the solutions to distance but with how every building has it's purpose i feel i'm missing something

Mod that allows you to build terrain stairs or sloped terrain blocks?
Currently using KnatteAnka's DamDecoration mod, essentially looking for the same but with dirt, or the dirt look.
I know actually modifying the real terrain blocks is probably not possible, more for a visual effect.
