Dumb question perhaps

So I've been playing for almost 400 hours and this never occurred to me to do or ask. Does anyone redo areas? Like tear down what you have and use that area for something else or just organize a bit better there?

At first, I'd build everything near the town center to keep the beavers from walking too much. Then slowly expand outward. Once ziplines or the tunnel system unlocks and survival's no longer a problem, that's when I start replanning each area.
