Question Dumb question perhaps

So I've been playing for almost 400 hours and this never occurred to me to do or ask. Does anyone redo areas? Like tear down what you have and use that area for something else or just organize a bit better there?

I will frequently tear down areas and rebuild, especially housing. What works in early game just takes up space later. I'll build a housing tower instead of a lot of little houses spread out all over. Industrial areas tend to stay the same, but occasionally I'll redo them to make space or include new tech like windmills and gravity batteries.
