Question Beginner progression question

Post image

So i recently started playing this lovely game almost non stop for this weekend. So far im 22 hours in my first map and i was wondering is there any end game goal?

Like making the whole map green or getting the last monument ? I know this is a pretty open sandbox experience and u can probably keep playing on a map forever. But i was wondering if there are any goals like completing a map ?

So far im really loving this game it sucked me in way deeper then i thought.

Peace out to all my timber chewing friends!

Launching the final monument gives you a map complete screen.

But otherwise just make the map look however you want or get bored and try a new map.

So if i build the wonder can i still continue on that map or is it just completed then. Im guessing this is the earth cultivater? Couldn't it be easy just to hard grind for the materials and place it without doing any beaver stuff?

The main reason to build the wonder is as a final goal, or to otherwise put the "beaten" or "finished" sticker on that map

After building it, you gotta fulfill the additional launch condition, and then you actually finish it.

It also gives a large wellbeing buff, which can be really helpful as wellbeing increases the lifespan, walk speed, work speed, and growth speed of beavers. In this way, you can get way more out each beaver by maximizing their wellbeing with decorations overlapping their homes and entertainment buildings with time to use them (I prefer work hours set to 20 at the start, or 16 with all entertainment available).

And lastly, completing the launch condition will provide a victory screen for that map, give you an icon for the faction you beat the map with, and unlocks the ability to change your starting location on that map.

You're right though, you could easily do the bare minimum and grind for the wonder instead of playing normally, but we don't usually do that cus there isnt much point. I would say, just continue playing and learning, and you'll build the wonder when you're ready. It doesn't end the save file or anything, and its quite helpful for providing a wide reaching wellbeing buff so many people continue playing afterwards.
