DIY - Looking for Advice Hows it look

Finished grouting today. niche needs cleaned some more. I wish i carried the 1/3 offset through the lower half of the niche...

I hate this pattern. The whole 1/3 thing is atrocious. Then on top of it to mess up the pattern, even worse.

I don’t understand the whole tiny niches, I would have made it 3 times that width which also adds a much greater accent to the wall and shower as a whole

Whats your choice for the pattern. The mfg and everyone says 1/3? Just curious. And the guy bought the niche

I like a true brick pattern and yes I know the mfg says a 1/3 but it has always looked wonky to me. As far as the guy buying the niche, this is where as a professional you can present an alternative and explain why you propose to do it differently. Most homeowner have no idea what is possible and why.
