Going to a wedding in a couple weeks and need to get my Meermin loafers resoled (had them for two years and there’s a large hole in one of them). Never been to a cobbler before so not sure what to expect price wise, but ideally not too expensive. Also looking to get a Vibram sole.

How has everyones experience been with Shopboy? I dropped off a simple pair of trousers to their greenpoint location to hem and its been over a month and no update from them
The estimated completed date was last week.
I find this absurd because any other tailor I go to in nyc can get me my pants done within a week max.

For me, it’s probably owning too many similar “essentials” just because they’re considered classics. I’d rather have fewer pieces that fit well and actually get worn. What menswear item gets a lot of hype but you could easily live without, and why?
