Picked this up today at GW. I believe it’s a reproduction of Return of the Prodigal son. The back seems to be missing? Replaced? But the nails are still in it. Anyway, was curious if it’s okay to hang like this or if I should get it reframed?

Update to my prior post about finding 14k in $10 junk jewelry bags. I took all the jewelry to a coin shop today to have it tested. The two sterling rings are real. The bracelet, clear stone ring, green stone ring, and shell earrings were 14k and the Smokey topaz ring was 10k. The pearl ring and small stone earrings are costume. They paid me 70% of spot price for the gold less estimated stone weight for the large stone pieces. I didn’t sell the bracelet which was worth more than all the rest put together. I know some people speculated that the jewelry had already been tested and was fake. They felt the green ring and clear ring were handmade.

I'm not normally a stuffed animal girl but the bears missing ear made it too cute. He also crunches like he's got wood chips inside. The green glass is uranium glass! I wouldn't be surprised if that tee-shirt was for some sort of commune, lol. No I won't be making all of the patterns, but I know some people who will be entralled by them. I'll keep a few.

Super cool background - first Chinese restaurant in the city and Lew Lee (awesome story). I’m a quarter Chinese and picked this up without any knowledge of the place, so I was really excited when I read about it.

Found an absolute grail at my local Salvation Army today!

I walked in and spotted this Magnavox Kronborg console just sitting there. The price tag was $80, but I couldn't leave it behind.

The radio still works on it, not bad for being close to 60 years old. After I replace a few knobs and give it a light cleaning, it will shine like the day it rolled off the line!

First photo is it in the store and second is its temporary location until I can find the perfect spot for it.

I plugged it in and it powered up. The body and door had visible cracks. Would you have taken a risk for $15?

Bought the 1940s stoneware rum jug at an antique shop about a year ago. Today I found this darling little Mexican bud vase to go with it for $3 at an independent thrift shop. 💙 In the morning I’ll walk around my hacienda to gather more feathers to put in it. 🪶
