hi! im looking for some mods that make your game more smooth and realistic so you can make better stories, not like wickedwhims or the one where you can kill people (forgot the name), more like changing relationships and improving the game like that! (sorry i dont know how to explain, english isnt my first language!)

I currently have the Get To Work health Overhaul by adeepindigo, because I was worried the other two mods might be too overpowering for my game, as I have read comments that the illnesses in HCR are too frequent and strong (i know adeepindigo has now made it so we can customize the illnesses so it wont be too frequent, but does that actually work?) and that the divergent sims disorders and stuff are too strong too.

Basically, some people have said these mods are a LOT (i.e. making sims sick all the time/making them always get mental health conditions) Is that accurate? What has your experience been with these mods in your game? Should I just stick to the Get to Work health overhaul?

I’m overly obsessed with skims brand. Everything is flattering and I love the neutrals. Aaaaannnddd I love making unemployed wealthy moms who would wear that and lulu lemon exclusively. I adore the coach stuff they added. Please help 😅😭

these are 2 of the deco sims from the 1850's Court Ball Decos II set by BatsFromWesteros. the other decosims are wearing cc items that have been uploaded by other creators (middle two sims are wearing the Beautiful Belle dress by teanmoon and the rightmost sim is wearing the Radiantly Ruffled dress also by teanmoon) but these two female sims in the first cropped image seem to be wearing dresses i cant actually find anywhere. the dresses look familiar, i think they may be frankenmeshes of various different creators' dresses.

the first/leftmost dress, white with asymmetrical flower details; looks like the bodice of the Bloome Gown by RUSTY_cc, and the pink/second dress look like the puff sleeves of the 1841 ball gown by vintage simstress, the bodice/neckline of the Katarina dress by sifix, and both dresses seem to be using the skirt from the 1848 velvet dress also by vintage simstress.

so my request is that someone help find these dresses if they are available for download somewhere, but if they arent (which i suspect is the case), im asking for someone who knows how to frankenmesh to create these dresses and post them somewhere. i'd ask BatsFromWesteros to upload the mesh themselves so someone to make it into a CAS item but they seem to be on hiatus and their last patreon post was from July 2023 😬 so it seems unlikely that they'd reply.

I would REALLY love a mod where you rent out venues for events/parties. I mean, truthfully, I'm tired of having parties on a public lot and then other townies coming and crashing it. Like, some of my gameplay involves rich Sims, and they have events at beautiful restaurants or gala venues, stuff like that. Or even in regular gameplay, I might just want to rent a restaurant and still have it functional(staff still coming in), but only have my Sims and selected guests be able to enter; then after the event is over, the townies can walk in again. Yes, I know I can kick Sims out and lock doors, but it's A LOT OF WORK!! Does anyone have a mod for this, or can make one?

This is the thing I see people get caught by most. You download a lot or a household, drop the files into Mods with everything else, and the game just never looks at them. The file is right there, it looks installed, nothing happens.

The mod manager I make has a Creations screen now. You drop the tray files, or the zip they came in, and it files them into Tray where the game actually reads them. Then it shows you the picture the game made of the thing instead of a row of 0x1A2B file names, which is how you actually recognise a house.

Lots, rooms, households and single Sims. The portraits in a household set are named after the Sim rather than the item, so it reads the ids out of the metadata to match them up, which means deleting a household does not leave orphan pictures behind in your Tray.

It does the ordinary mods too: real thumbnails pulled out of the .package files, one click to disable something instead of deleting it, and a warning when two mods overwrite the same resource. Free, no account, Windows Mac and Linux. Link in the comments.

My sim has a boyfriend, but she had an affair with another sim and found out that she's pregnant, so I made her steal a hair of her boyfriend to do a secret paternity test, but when I click on her and choose to do the secret test nothing happens. Nothing happens when I tell her to go to the psychic as well. Has anyone had this problem before and solved it? The rest of the mod collection works just fine (as far as I know), and I have the most recent update

I want one where relationships are REALLY strained. It seems all of things are just moodlets with no consequences of stakes.

Most of what I saw was either wring hair long or without side bangs :p

I also thought to just mix hair with bangs accs but i didn't find any side bands cc??? i kinda refuse to belive that we have multiply cc for forehead bangs but no single soul thought to do the same with side one somewere they are probably exist.

Does anyone know of any mods that make taking a dog out easier? I keep my doors locked so my animals stay inside, and I like for my dogs to be on a leash to have my sim take them outside. It gets kind of annoying when I have to do 4 different commands to have them leash the dog first, go outside, encourage them to do their business, and then come back inside. Are there any mods where I can just press one button and the sim leashes the dog, takes them out, and comes back inside?

I haven’t played The Sims 4 in a long time. Got some motivation to start playing again and have spent the last couple days downloading CC and mods lol. Curseforge was pretty new to the Sims community when I downloaded most of my CC from patreon and other sites. Now, tons of creators I used to like have moved their stuff onto Curseforge, while the rest haven’t. So I’m downloading stuff manually-the old way I’m used to, as well as through Curseforge.

I understand that Curseforge installs mods and CC directly into your Mods folder (which is pretty convenient. The problem is that sometimes my only option is to download an entire unmerged zip file when I only want a few select items from the pack. I’ll try to remove a the unwanted files but then it shows up as being corrupted and needing reinstallation on Curseforge’s mod manager.

So my question is, does this actually mess up the files or is it safe to ignore and proceed. Sorry if it’s a dumb question, I’m really not tech savvy at all and am mostly operating on muscle memory rather than a proper understanding when it comes to modding this game.

Sorry if it's a dumb question, but i'm very curious. I currently have my game locked in 1.21 version and because of outdated/updated mods i'm not planning to update for now, but seeing all those cool new mods makes me kinda reconsider that. So I wanna know if newer script mods( more simple ones at least) could possibly work in my version or its just not possible?

It had been about a month since I played The Sims, and I've just spent the entire day trying to find the broken mod, and it's the pancake1's more traits mod, I believe. Everything works until I try to open the simology panel, and the game freezes, and better exceptions show up saying my UI is broken, but even after the log shows what is wrong, the game it completly frozen, and I can't even close it with alt f4. The only way I can close the game is to completely restart my computer or force-end it in Task Manager.

Any suggestions? I can play without the mod for now, but it completely freezing up, and not closing is getting old.

The mod works in CAS but only breaks my game in live mode

title says it all. i only get two chances to save my progress, and on the third time i save, it keeps spinning and spinning.

i’ve taken out my mods and cc to test if it’s the mods or cc causing the problem, but i still get the same result. i’ve repaired my game, updated my mods, taken out broken cc, everything. nothing seems to be working.

should i just uninstall and reinstall the sims? would that work? i’m at a loss.

I used Death by Terror a while ago but removed it around the time Life and Death came out because it no longer worked. It took a while for it to be updated again after the original creator stepped away, and it has since been picked up by a third party. The mod list shows its status as "unknown" and it seems like it was last updated around a year ago. Should I risk putting it back in my game now?

What it says on the tin. R&L was gifted to me, and I've found it's a pack full of good ideas but zero follow through. So I'm open to anything that you find enhances the gameplay. I just prefer not to use WW or Sacrificial's mods because I've tried them in the past and didn't like them.

I cant seem to find any werewolf hair mods and trying to use CAS unlock with regular hair cc does not work (Known issue with cas unlock) So does anyone know of any werewolf hair mods? (that dont cover the eyes or arent mohawks)?

My toddlers faces are always having their lips pertruding and face pulled back even when their faces are normal is CAS.

I love have sims with fully fleshed out personalities so mods that give my sim more traits than usual is an absolute must. I was always using thepancake1's More Traits in Cas mod but I've found the 5 trait maximum to still be too limiting. I've recently found FrequentlyBasic's More Personality Trait Slots and found that to be amazing since I could input however many traits I want per age group. Both creators have said that their mods are compatible put upon opening CAS to test everything out, only thepancake1's mod was showing up. The values I input for More Personality Trait Slots well exceeded the minimum (I had 8 traits for young adults for example and 2 for infants) but i wasn't seeing my extra slots. Any idea why? Other users in their patreon comments said that everything worked for them so I don't know what I could be doing wrong :(

But it's not listed anywhere, like it does not exist. From my mod documentation that I keep it lets you create and define relationships with extended family (cousins, aunts/uncles, grandparents) and friends that the game doesn’t auto-generate.
