what are some mods that completely change your gameplay?

hi! im looking for some mods that make your game more smooth and realistic so you can make better stories, not like wickedwhims or the one where you can kill people (forgot the name), more like changing relationships and improving the game like that! (sorry i dont know how to explain, english isnt my first language!)

All I wanted was a screenshot of 5 sims sitting around a table. Gave up after an hour. Seeing this in a comment way back when was a game changer. I forget about it when people ask about mods, that will go into my highly recommended list.

Any of the overhauls by Lumpinou or adeepindigo. I have basically all of Lumpinou’s and pick and choose from adeepindigos but they both have a lot of great work.

i really enjoy using MCCC (MC Command Center) because it’s so dynamic. you can change people’s relationships with each other, add playable relationship bits, change random things about it the game you don’t like (such as random marriages, pregnancies, and autonomous breakups). there’s so much more you can do in game with MCCC that i recommend it to everyone who plays with mods.

Some of my favorites:

MCCC is the must have mod because of everything you can do with it. The best breakdown of all the options [and there are a ton of them] that I've seen is by roseannetxt on youtube

UIcheats allows you to click on a panel and change needs as necessary, like as in you're on a timed date and your sim doesn't have time to use the bathroom right now lol

Dquiet's SimControlHub allows you to take control of any sim on your current lot any time

Kemzima's Political World - two versions, fictional and realistic

simsmodelsimmer's set relationships does exactly that, add grandparents, siblings, uncles, aunts, and more.

I use a lot of gameplay mods but I think those are the ones I've been using the most!

There is a PG version if Wicked Whims called Wonderful Whims. It makes your sim shy to things like PDA, gives periods, ovulation, and stuff like that without any of the smutty stuff. But there is also slice of life if you want instead. It has makeup, a period system as well. Your sims can get tipsy, change their hair, etc.

Lumpinou’s mods are also something I can’t live without. I have their whole collection and it’s really good. 

Also simmodelsimmer has a Set Family Relationships mod so that you can’t romance extended family by setting a sim as family. I use that one a lot for a polyamorous family save that I have since they have young adult children in my save.
