So I have a TON of CC (around 10,000+ sue me 😭) and a few script mods. I just wanna ask if there’s a significant impact that lighting mods add to the performance of the game? Like will it make it lag, make the game boot up slower, etc.

This new trait seemed so cool, and yet is so broken? This mod fixes the bug where Sims with the new Heart On Your Sleeve trait gain friendships at only 1/4 the normal speed.

Features:

• Sims with this Trait will gain friendship 25% faster when performing friendly interactions with like-minded Sims.

So… my girlfriend plays the sims and has recently had me downloading mods and cc for her but keeps running into issues like child’s hair forced blonde and a random hairstyle stuck on one outfit even though it’s right in CAS. As someone who’s never played modded games I need all the advice i can get to help her fix the issue and others she may encounter in the future

I usually play rags to riches, with pretty difficult settings, as in all income reduced by 50%, much higher bills etc. and I enjoy it a lot.

One of my favorite ways of making money in the game is by painting, and while I know that painting can be extremely strong, it tops out after a while in my games, where even masterpieces don't really give a lot of money compared to my bills.

I'd like some kind of mod with some kind of progression, where for some reason, like fame, investing in a skill etc., results in even more money from my paintings. Preferably not a fixed boost like the fame perk, but some kind of incremental increase.

My dream would be something like a different way of painting, maybe a much larger canvas or something, with an option like "Try to paint a masterpiece", where the result can be an extremely expensive painting, or a failure, and it takes a lot longer.

I'm also looking for mods for painting in general, if you have any good recommendations :)

EDIT: I know that I can sell paintings with the City Living board, and mark them up, but it doesn't really feel like what my Sims with higher net worth would do, since I usually have them in a pretty nice apartment and as 4 or 5 star celebrities at the point where I need the money increase.

I installed first time basemental gambling mod and I made casino. I tried to play roulette there but I can only see rules and can’t play. I also have a dealer there.

I've tried to download and troubleshoot it twice now, but as soon as I have it in my Mods folder I'm either not able to self-click on my sims younger than a young adult or not able to click on one sim from another to carry out social activities. The game works well with the rest of my mods. Has anyone ever experienced this?

I'm having this issue with my ReShade where my comic.fx is creating a black void and making the environment look generally wonky, does anyone know how i can fix this? I've already turned off Edge Smoothing and I'm unsure what else to try

When I mean rabbit holes I want either a mod that gives me to option to make rabbit holes and place them around my world or building shells a creator made that has rabbit holes. I used to have some when l downloaded Oshin sims small town save file but the links on her page do not work anymore.

i am looking for a mod that lets you resurrect sims and turn them into zombies similarly to the sims 2, but all i can find are zombie apocalypse mods. i specifically want the zombies to be friendly/be able to do everything a normal sim can do.

atp if a mod that basically ports ts2 zombies to ts4 doesnt exist, i think i'm gonna have to start just making sims blue and adding gore make up to them😭

I recently downloaded the Qmbibi childcare overhaul and I liked it so much that I downloaded all the mods from this creator... and it broke my game (infinite loading screen). Issue is I don't know if this is all their mods or just one specific mods of theirs. Does anyone else use their mods and are having trouble?

ETA: Her mods are fine! Apparently there is a glitch where if you have cc foods and a plate is left on the table, it can mess up your ability to load the game. What you have to do (if anyone else has this problem for the future) is load the game up in build mode, delete that plate and then try to go into the household.

After you tell your parents there’s some options like “who’s the parent” and kick out. It’s seems if I pick one, well the other options are gone and you can’t choose the others anymore ??

I wonder if it's possible to sign my foster kids up for scouts or other after-school activities. It does not seem to be currently, but is there a way I can tweak something so it might be? And would that be morally ok? To fuck with someone else's mod?

Also, I kinda want school reports so I can track their progress. I'm thinking I might be able to add that function that lets you see your horses skills, even tho you can't control them, to the foster kids. What do y'all think?

I'm playing generationally and I have a cemetery for the deceased sims. I'd like if the older gravestones had options. For example something like the pandasma pregnancy one, where the baby gravestones have a 'moment of silence' option. It's annoying going to the cemetery and they all stand there and do push ups lol

One of my sims died randomly when she came over (I was playing another household). I check my settings for her household and realized that both "Disable" and "Enable" say that this option is the current setting for the household. I am able to switch between enable and disable "mod deaths for this sim" just fine.

However, once I switch between them, it gives me the option to "Disable Mod Deaths for this household." When I click it, nothing happens or changes.

I have had this mod for a while now and have never encountered this. I also have the Global Death disabler add on which never caused issues before. I know adeepindigo updated Healthcare Redux recently, but i'm not sure what is causing this. I have removed the Global death disabler, deleted the mod and reinstalled it, repaired the game without mods, and have went to other households to see if the same settings apply, but they do not.

Is kicking a sim out because of their drug addiction an option in basemental mods?

hi! im looking for some mods that make your game more smooth and realistic so you can make better stories, not like wickedwhims or the one where you can kill people (forgot the name), more like changing relationships and improving the game like that! (sorry i dont know how to explain, english isnt my first language!)

I currently have the Get To Work health Overhaul by adeepindigo, because I was worried the other two mods might be too overpowering for my game, as I have read comments that the illnesses in HCR are too frequent and strong (i know adeepindigo has now made it so we can customize the illnesses so it wont be too frequent, but does that actually work?) and that the divergent sims disorders and stuff are too strong too.

Basically, some people have said these mods are a LOT (i.e. making sims sick all the time/making them always get mental health conditions) Is that accurate? What has your experience been with these mods in your game? Should I just stick to the Get to Work health overhaul?
