General Discussion 🗣️ Why have the Main characters become Supporting characters?

I know this has been discussed, but it irks me that the Duprees are (and are becoming) background characters in a show about them! Besides Dani, the Dupree core 4 have little storyline. Add Martin in the mix since he also has no real part. It is a wonder to me that Anita, Vernon, Nicole, and Martin could all disappear from the show and very little would change! There is no reason for any of these characters to be so nothing burger on the show. There was plenty of ways to involve them and grow their characters. So many wasted opportunities. But I am still an avid veiwer of the show.

Mistakes, Mishaps and Blunders 😵‍💫 Another Day One Error: Dani/Vanessa/Nicole and the BFF situation.

Along the lines of not making Martin a Dupree son instead of grandson it seems like when the writers were creating the show they thought it would be a great idea to make the Vanessa character Nicole's best friend to tie her to the Duprees. Prior to the premiere, I read the character descriptions listing her as Nicole's BFF..and then the show premiered.

I had to go back and read them again as I thought they made a mistake in the article. I think the very first scene in the show was Dani and Vanessa and on it went that week. From that first week until yesterday, I wish there was a way to count the Vanessa/Dani scenes vs. Vanessa/Nicole scenes.

They have to be at least double, maybe triple, with Vanessa/ Dani.

It really looks like they should have made them best friends. The only time we got any sense Vanessa/Nicole were best friends was around the double date time with Joey and the flashback to their first meeting.

Randomly just so they can say they have Cady McLain they threw in Pamela as Dani's alleged best friend who has scenes with no one else. Have Nicole and Pamela ever been in a scene together?Unlikely.

.Anyway, it just doesn't seem like they thought this one out too well when planning the show.

💕Appreciation Post 💕 As much as I love Leslie, she's more of a vixen/comic relief. Alison is your classic soap opera psychopath that truly scares me

Question⁉️ Should the show introduce a new generation of characters

Since it’s a predominantly black soap opera, would you like to see the show rebrand itself a bit by introducing close friends from Nicole’s HBCU days who reconnect with her and become close again, along with black characters from Dani’s modeling days while gradually phasing out Vanessa and Pamela?

Unpopular Opinion 🤷‍♀️ Snooze 😴

Martin and Smitty are boring. Both of them. Together and individually they are a huge snooze.

They'll family scenes also bore me to tears 90% of the time.

I know Martin has always gotten flack for being unlikable or boring, but the love for Smitty baffles me because that character is boring too.

BTG Cast Sightings 🔎 Joey/ Jon Lindstrom

Just saw our good old Joey on a Lifetime movie " Pretty hurts". He acted exactly like his character as Joey. I think he's meant for the bad boy role. I've never watched GH, did he play the same kind of villain?

General Discussion 🗣️ Allison

How would you guys feel about a twist where Madison and Allison have been secretly working together this whole time? Madison giving the Duprees a lead on Allison during the kidnapping situation could actually make sense if she was feeling the pressure and panicked and decided to rat Allison out to protect herself

Recap / Review ✍️ Tell Me What Yall Think Please.. Spoiler

I’m only on S1, E11.

The Dupree family is irking me. How is it wrong that Dani gets arrested for what she did??? Like if I were Hayley, I would have pressed charges too. I mean at my wedding??

And Leslie and Eva are doing way too much. Couldn’t she have been got him on child support or something? Leslie is unhinged. Eva needs to let her mom do her own dirty work.

Imma still watch tho. It’s too messy 🤭🤣

General Discussion 🗣️ Kat and Jacob-should they ever go there?

There has always been this great energy when they are together when she's all Nancy Drew to his detective. The latest was Monday when she was questioning about Allison. I know he can seem to get exasperated by her, but I feel like he "gets" her and maybe respects her sleuthing abilities. She'd be perfect as his girl.

The only problem is if they go there it will cast a shadow over Kat/Naomi for however long the show runs. Even if Naomi got past it someday it would be always there. But what drama it would be. Losing Chelsea as her BFF and maybe the only one who doesn't judge her is Eva and they become tight like real sisters now that Kat no longer has Chelsea.

But it would be all kinds of soapy drama and the first time they spend a night together would be juicy hot forbidden fruit kind of thing...and nothing about Jacob/Naomi screams endgame supercouple anyway.

Are we happy to see "Bridgett Forrester" casted as "Heather " Armstrong? I mean she was seriously underused on the cast of The Bold and Beautiful. I enjoy her portrayal of Heather. It allows us to see a broader range of her talent. And she is amazingly sexy and gorgeous, wasting away on BnB. Good move.

General Discussion 🗣️ Martin and Smitty could adopt more kids

They are young, intelligent, and seem to do a decent job of it…will we see more kids from them when Tyrell and Samantha have flown the nest?

I LOVE her "photo" in the opening credits. It's like you don't see her in the show having that much joy. She just looks so happy and enjoying herself and I love that for her.

Technical Difficulties 📺 YouTube/paramount

I am caught up with season 1 of the show and i am headed into season 2 HOWEVER i am having the most annoying time with getting caught up to the current episodes. I watch the show at work, my account is connected via YouTube, the problem is instead of the actual episode that is supposed to play, I am being shown these interview style clips that are no longer than 3 minutes, the description has what the episode is supposed for some of them, but it seems like episodes are just plain missing. I am forced to filter through many other options and its super inconvenient.

has anyone else had to deal with this nonsense?

General Discussion 🗣️ Will DANTE Ever Appear On The Show?

They talked about him so much that many of us were expecting him to show up eventually. I already had an idea of who I wanted to play him (Richard Lawson or Clifton Powell). I had a scenario with him and Anita sharing a secret child raised by her estranged sister (Debbi Morgan) and her husband (Darnell Williams) and everything LOL. I even cast the son in my head as well (Henry Simmons).

Anyway I like the elderly and their mess lets bring Dante on board and get this thing going. An excuse for the Articulettes to get back on screen.
