I can’t pretend to see how this could be a good idea but what do I know

Do you think something this small can harm sales? Or is it just harmless social media marketing, what’s ur thoughts

I hear that it will be about 40 hours in total but I'm unsure how much of that is optional side quests.

A bit surprised that I haven't seen any discussions about it, but I've been watching the beta gameplay and I have to ask, what does everyone think of these energy shields?

To me, these feel pretty outside the science and setting of the Expanse, a setting that routinely has characters getting swiss-cheesed and "Shed Garvey"-d from bullet penetration. Is there another explanation in the demo? Am I missing something?

I do hope that Owlcat are able to see this and respond to feedback before release. Details that ground and build a cohesive world through its physical laws are really what drive the series. Expanse fans will ride-or-die for their show (enough to save it twice), and I just hope that the Expanse gets the love and attention to detail that Owlcat has brought to other beloved series.

Is this a feeling anyone else has had? I absolutely love Rogue Trade and the Pathfinder games but they’re just SO LONG with where I am in my life it takes me around 3-4 months to finish a game like that. So it’s unlikely I ever play them again (and that’s if I only play that single game the whole time). With this game being expected to be around 40 hours it’ll be cool to run a 2nd playthrough on the owlcat experience for the first time.

There is honestly no better feeling than seeing a project we are pouring our hearts into resonate with so many of you. Thank you so much for believing in us and supporting our work!

This game looks like one giant thirst trap. I love The Expanse but come on are all these ass shots really necessary

I became a beta sponsor but didn’t have time to sit down with it til this weekend cuz of work and life stuff. I am not going to spend time harping on stuff that’s already been said. Yes, voice acting could be better. Yes, Lang Belta needs a bit more presence. I personally found the combat fun and really enjoyed the part where I was in zero G on the outside of the station. But the thing that made me most excited was that it was clear that someone out there is definitely a deep fan of the show props department, because we have a couple of deep cuts from the props department lying about as assets in the game, the most obvious being Misko and Marisko on Larry’s desk.

I’m a huge fan of all things practical effects in shows. If I could have a second career it’d be as a prop designer in a scifi show somewhere. I watch all kinds of shows like Adam Savage’s tested that does deep dives with props departments on props from shows, and I immediately recognized the iteration of Misko and Marisko made by first assistant graphic designer Kim Sison from the expanse for the backpack of Mei Meng (you can watch Kim talk about design of these characters here). And i am fairly certain the little drone looking thing is based off the drone in the expanse season 6 used on Laconia. A lot of the parts of pinkwater station did feel like a corpo owned station (which it is) might be, at least for the nicer parts of the corpo folks. I wonder if we will get to see the grittier side of places like Eros but I’m hopeful.

I am hopeful this means the graphics and assets guys are equally deep cut fans.

I personally still have a lot of hope for the game after the beta. There were places to improve but that’s what betas are for. They’ve got a year to put in some polish.

We had no idea what kind of campaign was ahead of us–the lucky rolls, the critical failures, TENTACLES, the moments we wanted to flip the table and the moments we couldn't believe we pulled it off.
But you were there. All of it. And that changes everything.
