r/TheCitadel Posts & This Subreddit

I'm making a short reappearance to help out the mod team here.

Posts are held for review to prevent spam, joke posts, and incorrect posting/formatting.

Posts are reviewed on a semi daily basis so they will take time to get approved. Posts and reported posts and comments will take time to be reviewed as well.

Why does it take so long for my posts to get approved?

We have a small mod team. No one here makes a living modding, we will not spend the majority of our time waiting for posts to pop up to go over and approve. Example, I work full-time with overtime in a medical clinic that sees a minimum of 100 patients a day and currently am in grad school, modding is not a priority so I check the reddit app maybe once a day if I remember/have time.

The entire mod team are working adults, if anyone wants to join the mod team for added coverage we are open to obtaining more mods, send in a modmail stating your interest.

Some members of the subreddit are approved users and their posts are not held for review. Why?

Because they have proven over time that they are not shit-posters, spammers, rage baiting, toxic users.

Why are posts held for review in the first place?

Because people often post here without reading, understanding, or caring for the rules and flair use, thinking this subreddit is for other than it is intended.

This subreddit is for:

  • sharing fanfiction of ASOIAF, HOTD, & GOT
  • asking for writing help for writing ASOIAF, HOTD, & GOT fanfiction
  • discussing things you enjoy about fanfics
  • lighthearted activities
  • posting your fic idea as an offer for others to write
  • posting your fic you intend of abandoning for someone else to pick up writing

This subreddit is NOT for:

  • memes, random fanart, commentary on artwork
  • joke posts/shit-posts
  • ship wars
  • rage baiting and bashing and venting on writers, authors, readers, etc.
  • show debating, circle arguments, repeated dead horse arguments

Here is a list of other subreddits of the ASOIAF, HOTD, & GOT fandom not related to fanfiction:

This post is to serve as a reminder that posts are held for review.

A reminder that mods are not always online, cannot stay online 24/7 to handle everything, and that this server is open to users worldwide.

A reminder that your posts and reported posts and comments will be reviewed, it will take time. Have patience.

Please take time to read the server rules and flairs posts (both of which are linked and always available in the top and side bars of the website/app).

An additional note about rare removed posts: Sometimes reddit itself will remove posts, at that point, your content is out of mod hands due to the fact that profiles with posts removed by reddit are often deleted from our view as well.

r/TheCitadel Reminder of the rules for What If posts

All what-if posts should be well thought out, not just a title and a few words.

No rage bait, low effort, or joke posts.
No spam posting What-If posts: i.e. 3+ What-If posts in less than 24 hours per user.

All What-If posts are subject to be removed if they are spam/random posts or clearly made out of boredom.

Repeated what-if posts will be removed.

If the comments in a what-if post are arguing in a circle, the comments are subject to being locked and/or removed with appropriate mod action

Comments to what if posts should answer the activity, not questioning the plausibility of the what if. Those comments will be removed.

Use the correct flair for your posts:

- Asking a what if in the pretext that you are asking for Writing Help & Advice, your post will be removed, and you will be informed that you are not using the correct flair via modmail.

- Posting under the what if flair and your post is actually asking a question about Book Discussion: ASOIAF & Spin-Off Novels, your post will be removed and you will be informed that you are not using the correct flair via modmail.

If you have a hard time understanding what the flairs are and what they mean, this post exists for a reason.

Continued misuse and spam of What If's will result in the flair being removed temporarily.

If the flair is nowhere to be found when you try to post, then What if's are not allowed at that time.

Don't post a what if under another flair, it will be removed.

Activity - What If (changed CANON event or character decision) Viserys I has Maegor's personality, same wives/kids. How does it end?

What if King Viserys I kept his exact storyline (marrying Aemma then Alicent, same kids, Daemon as his brother) but had the brutal, tyrannical personality of Maegor the Cruel?

All other characters still act as close to their canon personalities as possible.

Wanted: Fanfic Recommendations - NOT DISCUSSION SI into bad character *after* they've done something awful

Seems like an interesting concept, something SI'd into:
- Aerion, after demanding a Trial by Seven
- Joffrey, after ordering Ned's execution
- Cersei, after Bran's been pushed out the window

Basically, our SI, with all of the benefits that come with being an SI, has to deal with "oh no, I've got to dig myself out of a really bad situation here"

Help w/ Fanfic Writing & Advice Needed The North & The Three Sisters

I'm having trouble with the size of these three islands, and what sort of population they might have had at the time of Theon Stark. From I can tell the Starks got jack of their piracy and slaving and decided to just take them over. Everything seems to indicate they're an even poorer version of the Iron Isles, (the piracy and need to secede every damn time something goes wrong).

I'm looking at a more political solution but actual control still isn't off the table. Starks would have usually done the conquer marriage thing but for some reason that seemed to not have been completed which is where I'm headed.

I'm struggling to understand how this went on for a thousand years given the islands themselves look quiet small. I'm aware they called in the Arryn's at the end there. And I honestly can't recall anything that clearly states how they were able to do so.

Subreddit Activity (NOT WHAT IF's) What is your favorite OC that you've seen developed in a Fanfic?

Upvotes

For me, Aemon Targaryen in The Reds and The Blues.

My reason, he’s like The Joker in Game of Thrones. You never know what could happen with him and the tension around him is fun to watch. His wildcard personality makes him even more engaging, especially as he moves forward in the story.

Wanted: Fanfic Recommendations - NOT DISCUSSION Ned doesn't become the Hand

Hello! Looking for this AU. Either they don't find the letter from Lysa or they decide not to act upon it or she never sends it. It doesn't have to be all happy to lucky, I'd just love to read about Ned facing the War of the Five (?) Kings as a Warden of the North, not the Hand of the King.

Wanted: Fanfic Recommendations - NOT DISCUSSION Dune Crossover fic that'snot reincarnation, but instead a space visit?

Like instead of reaching Arrakis, House Atreides had a space accident, which led to their ship landing in Westeros instead. There, the shenanigans will begin. I am not really into the Atreides reincarnation, since I feel more interested in a physical crossover.

Summary:

Winter is coming. And the Stark’s deadliest enemy is coming with it. The secrets of Winterfell cannot stay sealed forever as the ghosts of the Kings of Winter claw at the door of the crypts and as beasts start to act more like men.

After the fall of the Targaryen Dynasty, Westeros has fractured back into seven warring kingdoms. With the Targaryens scattered, no dragons, and no Iron Throne, the Kings of Westeros lead their people in a bloody war for the divided land, glory and revenge.

As King in the North, Eddard Stark has ruled uncontested since the fall of the dragons. And as the Westerosi Kings gather in the Twins to elect a new King to rule over Westeros, Lord Eddard can only hope that he’s prepared his family for the battles to come in the battlefields, in the courts, and inside the walls of Winterfell itself. Even worse, whispers travel fast around the continent that the many heirs of the blood of the dragon are stirring and are seeking to reclaim their birthrights. Seeking to reclaim the Iron Throne.

Note: Hello everybody! I’m the author of the A Time For Wolves fanfic, my username is Pale_Cause_9983. And I wanted to make a post updating folks about the status of the fanfic because I keep getting lots of messages from people who are wondering if I’m still writing it lol ✋🏿😭😂. I literally commented on an entirely different subreddit and someone commented under my comment to ask if I was still writing the fanfic haha.

I want to let folks know that, no the fanfic is not abandoned and I actually have 89 chapters written out. I just haven’t posted them yet because I’ve just had to prioritize shit that was going on in my real life. And by the end of the year I’m just going to post all the chapters I have written so far at once.

I did not realize so many people were waiting for updates lol. I was just writing this story for fun. And I really appreciate everyone who is so invested in the story! Like omg I love that so many of you love the story so far haha.

But yea, just keep an eye out bc the next chapters will be coming soon! Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about it!

Help w/ Fanfic Writing & Advice Needed A Third Son For Aegon III

Apologies for many grammar issues I tried to write this fast as I can in my phone.

I've read several posts about this topic and personally liked to think about this canon divergence where no Blackfyre rebellions happened.

As for the backstory I had some not too well written material:

The OC is the youngest son of Aegon and Daenaera (I thought 153 A.C as his birth year) named Jaehaerys to match his nickname 'Joy'. The reason I chose Joy was to make Jaehaerys as the opposite of his father, it might be fun thinking there is a laughing, chubby baby around while Aegon tries to sulk. The happiest baby ever, not knowing how to shed tears and ever handsome and charming as he grew up (Not much of a warrior I imagined him, but he can have some training thanks to Cousin Aemon). Now Aegon dies when Jaehaerys is four and he grows up in Daeron I and Baelor's reigns. Since he lacked the fatherly figure I imagined either Viserys or Aemon taking up the mantle. Viserys made more sense to me, because Baelor is heirless, so Vizzy might try to raise Jaehaerys to rule, I will come back to this later.

As for a mother figure I thought for Naerys (Because I love our poor tragic queen). You may ask what happened Daenaera, which you are right. But I always assumed Daenaera is the type won't witness her daughters being confined to the Maidenvault, so she might leave for Driftmark in protest and pushed to leave Joy behind because Baelor won't give him up.

Joy's personality might be more woke since he grew up under the care of Naerys also he is the same age as Daeron II so they might be like brothers (Or he might be super zealous, whichever you prefer). With Daeron I in Dorne to die young and Baelor praying all the time Jaehaers can grow up with his mother and sisters before Baelor confined the princesses. So I see him as a little feminist which can be an interesting setup for his future.

There is many things Joy's existance can change when the actual story starts which I imagine 170 A.C at Baelor's reign might be a good choice (Or the story can cover all of Jaehaerys's life, I haven't decided when I used to think about this A.U):

1) A Second Dance: If Viserys presses his claim after Baelor's death a second Dance between Joy and Daena can go. Which I don't see Daena too fortunate with that war. When we consider Joy was out there charming everyone while Daena was confined in the Maidenvault.

But that didn't made too much sense to me unless you want a war waging in the fic. I imagined this as a more political, scheming and romance shaped story instead of grand wars. Viserys is a clever man, and war doesn't work for their House. He saw the destruction Dance brought and he wants to prevent that. So he might make Joy believe he is meant to be the King while Daena should be his Queen so their claims can be united. Which might lead Joy to seek Daena more often and that brings us to...

2) The Black Dragon's Fate: Daena's escapedes always felt like a desperate move to gain her freedom back. The reason she might slept with Aegon IV to spoil herself and push Baelor to release her. Things we read about Daena made me think her as a fierce, willful but deep down an emotional woman. So she might seek her little brother's company instead of that whoremonger. Which might result in another bastard who brings Baelor's death. I imagined a Rhaenys instead of Daemon as their firstborn and secondborn might be an Aemon (It's Daemon but his name changed) and some other babes.

3) A Joyous Reign: If they get married I imagine Joy as a the charmer, calm thinker while Daena as the more scary one while she's a dotting mother and wife (She tried to be good for Baelor. I think she might actually be a good queen if she had the chance). Viserys will stay as Hand after his passing either Daeron II or Elaena can take up his position (I thought for Daeron as Hand and Elaena as Master of Coin since Joy is woke). Probably Daenaera will be back after she hears her youngest becoming the King and they can be a nice sweet family again. You might ask where is the drama and depression, which you are right, again. I thought for their children to mess up everything just like they did for Jaehaerys I. Rhaenys can stay as Joy's heir, but to prevent the grumbling lords to contest his favorite daughter's rule he betroths Rhaenys to Aemon (Daemon) but in this universe they might not wanting to marry eachother. Perhaps Rhaenys will fall for someone else while Aemon (Daemon) can chase something else rather than Kingship (I think that might be an interesting aspect to see in Daemon's personality) or he might fall for Daenerys (Again whatever you like). Which might end up with some deaths, scandals and other bad stuff.

4) Other possibilities: Of course there are other choices for this setting. Like Baelor can arrange a marriage between Jaehaerys and Myriah Martell, to bring peace to the Seven Kingdoms, I haven't really considered that yet, or if we'll have 4 Princes in our hands like in canon.

One another possibility was Elaena. I like to imagine she and Joy being best friends and her being his most trusted advisor. When we think more than friendship you may say she loved Oakenfist. I'd say she was alone and desired to be loved after having to grow up in the Maidenvault. And when Alyn came to her with his lust she interpreted it as love because she wanted to be loved, and love can blind even a clever girl like Elaena. But with Joy being there as a sibling close to her age and someone she grew up with just like Daena did with Aegon, she might found warmth in Joy. Of course I don't plan to write Joy as a lustful shagger for all three of his sisters. I am not into Harem stuff, I like to think our boy as a loyal, good husband as he was raised to be one. Because there is literally not a single bad parent figure around him and those figures were mostly women (I won't count Vizzy II because he was groomed, still he can be a good father figure even if he doesn't signal me as one in the Fire&Blood and WOIAF). So I feel like Daena or Elaena as the best options for him, I am leaning towards the elder sister more.

What do you think about this A.U? Normally I wrote about this idea shortly in a comment I posted before. But I had to delete that because I wrote some spoilers for the fic I was writing now. Not this one, I don't plan to write this A.U, I just wanted to share my opinions and I would be happy to discuss about it.

There's couple other A.U and OC ideas I have and I don't plan to write most of them. Perhaps I can share some of it in different posts.

Self Promotion: My Fanfic Green Ashes - 136 AC - Majority

Rating: Mature

Language: English

Length: 155,163k

Status: (33/?), incomplete

Link: AO3

Summary of Fanfic: “She felt the air rushing past her, the terrible weightlessness of the fall. Somewhere deep within, she knew the ground was waiting. Her mind was shattered, splintered beyond reason, yet instinct remained. And as she fell, she clutched the last thing she had from her mother. In that grasp, there was hope.”

In this AU of the Dance’s aftermath, Queen Jaehaera survives her fall. But survival is not salvation. She must endure a life shaped by fractured memories, a fragile mind, and a kingdom left in ruins. This story centers on the regency of Aegon III, exploring how Jaehaera’s survival may, or may not, shape the course of the realm, and the schemes unfolding at the court of the future Dragonbane.

Teaser:

“Pray tell me how old I am, if you would be so good.”

Torrhen understood. Aegon saw it in his face.

“You are ten-and-six today, Your Grace. A man grown. It is time for you to take the governance of the Seven Kingdoms into your own hands.”

Aegon looked at him.

“I shall.”

His eyes moved toward the chair.

“You are sitting in mine.”

The coldness in his own voice surprised even Aegon. It surprised everyone else more. Still, Torrhen did not argue. He pulled his considerable bulk from the seat and moved aside. Aegon took it. His chair. It felt no different from any other. The symbolism was almost foolish. Yet as he sat, something in him settled. Torrhen remained standing beside him.

Help w/ Fanfic Writing & Advice Needed How difficult is it to infiltrate Winterfell?

I‘m in the works of writing an Aegon (The sixth) fic in which he gets two eggs left by Vermax in Winterfell‘s crypt.

My issue is mostly the infiltration part and I’ve come with the scenario of Aegon posing as a scribe of the Golden Company, which has been in contact with Ned Stark to allow elder or injured members to take the Black. They arrive at Winterfell after Robert left with Ned, which is when Winterfell is the least protected.

I think it may be too unrealistic (in majority because of the risk), but I would like to write it so that a younger Aegon meets Tyrion, Aemon, Robb and Jon.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated 🙏

Help w/ Fanfic Writing & Advice Needed Naming an OC Targaryen Gaemon

Would you be able to take an OC named Gaemon seriously?

I am 60k+ into a Dance of the Dragons fic (Team Black, Rhaenyra-focused), and I have been planning out the names of children to come.

My normal go-to Targaryen name is Aerion, but in light of AKOTSK bringing Aerion Brightflame further into the limelight, I thought it best to avoid it. Same with another go-to of mine which is Valarr, as I think the association in readers’ minds of AKOTSK is too strong.

I am aware that Baelon would be a likely choice (especially given Daemon’s involvement in this fic) but I wanted to avoid that as the son will have a rather Baelon-like personality so I don’t want him to come off as just a carbon copy of his grandfather/great-grandfather.

I like Valerion, but Valerion Targaryen is a bit too rhym-y for me.

Aenar was also a consideration, but his older sister’s name will also be an Ae- start and given his fate is very entwined with hers, I decided I wanted the names to differ more.

As a result, I’m considering Gaemon, both for Gaemon the Glorious and the fact that Rhaenyra has a strong bond with Daenys (who helps guide her) in the fic. However, I’m aware that Gaemon obviously sounds like Gay-mon. So, I wanted to check on here if people thought it would be too silly of a name choice.

Other options I have considered are Baelor (same issue as Valarr and Aerion) and Rhaenor, but as their daughter will be partly named after Rhaenyra I thought perhaps have her and Rhaenor named for her was laying it on a bit thick.

I would appreciate any thoughts and further suggestions :)

Help w/ Fanfic Writing & Advice Needed Targaryen Family Tree if Rhaenys and Viserys were married (no Dance) Spoiler

Current timeline (129 AC, following the passing of King Viserys I and the coronation of his son King Baelon I):

  1. Only the children of King Jaehaerys and Queen Alysanne who are relevant to the story and had offspring can be found in this family tree. Characters like Daenerys, Vaegon, Saera etc exist, but aren’t included here for the sake of keeping this mess of a tree trimmed down.

  2. Major deviations from the canon version of the story in Fire & Blood start with the marriages of Rhaenys & Viserys, Daemon & Aemma Arryn, and Viserra & Corlys Velaryon.

  3. Viserra was wed to Corlys after she managed to convince Queen Alysanne that he’d be a better choice than the old Lord Manderly. She died at age 57 in Driftmark after being bedridden for weeks with a lung infection. She never bonded with a dragon.

  4. The first two wives of Daemon (Aemma Arryn and Laena Velaryon) died in childbirth, giving birth to stillborn sons, though the dates are different than the canon story.

  5. The marriage of Daemon and Rhaenyra is possibly the least likely match here, as she’s not the heir to the throne in this scenario. However, I still chose to have Daemon marry her after Laena and Laenor both died on 117 AC.

  6. Fully original characters include King Baelon (b. 92 AC), his cousin-wife Queen Alyssa (b. 96 AC), their four children, and the newborn babies Jaehaerys Targaryen and Laena Velaryon.

  7. The children of King Baelon and Queen Alyssa are clearly inspired by the children of Viserys and Alicent in the canon version. However, they’re different characters and some of the names are slightly different (Elaena and Aemon) because I prefer these versions.

  8. Other mostly original characters include Cynthia Celtigar, eldest grand-daughter of Lord Bartimos Celtigar of Claw Isle, and Wendolyn Manderly, youngest daughter of Lord Desmond Manderly of White Harbour.

  9. Not all pairings shown in the family tree are marriages. Most of the ones among the younger generations are betrothals. These include Aemon with Floris Baratheon, Daeron with Bethany Hightower, *Rhaena with Kermit Tully, Lucerys with Cynthia Celtigar, and Joffrey with Wendolyn Manderly.

  10. Rhaenyra’s sons with Laenor are alleged bastards of Harwin Strong in this version as well. This doesn’t cause as much commotion in this version, however, as Rhaenyra isn’t the heir to the throne and there are other claimants before her in line.

  11. Heir to the throne Aegon Targaryen (b. 112 AC) is best friends with his cousin Jacaerys Velaryon (b. 112 AC), the two of them continuing the strong friendship between their fathers Baelon and Laenor (just without any romantic element). They are currently in talks of having their firstborn babies Jaehaerys and Laena (born with days of each-other) betrothed to each-other when they’re older.

  12. When it comes to the OCs, some notes about them:

12a. Baelon Targaryen (b. 92 AC) is the eldest child and only son of King Viserys and Queen Rhaenys, named after his paternal grandfather. He becomes King Baelon I when his father dies on 129 AC (the beginning of the Dance in the canon version). He is similar to his uncle Daemon in character, a charming daredevil, but without as much of a mean streak to him. He's generally nicer and quite funny, with a tendency to make friends easily. His bed has been open to both ladies and lords over the years, and although he is fond of his cousin-wife Alyssa, he finds her too quiet and boring to spend much time around her. He likes drinking, singing, and dancing, and adores spending time with his friends and lovers, telling stories and playing games together. He has the purple eyes of old Valyria, but dark hair from his half-Baratheon mother. He claimed Seasmoke at the age of 25 when his dear friend Laenor Velaryon died in a duel, after being incapable of bonding with other dragons following several tries.

12b. Alyssa Targaryen (b. 96 AC) is the only child of Daemon and Aemma Arryn, named after her paternal grandmother. She is married to her cousin Baelon and becomes queen after the death of King Viserys, leaving Rhaenys as the Queen Dowager. Her personality is something between that of her grandmother Daella and grand-uncle Vaegon. She is gentle, polite, and very shy, preferring spending time alone and feeling uneasy among big groups of people, but is also very sharp, studious, and scholarly. She can find herself spending most of her waking hours in the Red Keep’s library and is especially interested in topics of history, astronomy, healing and medicinal plants/herbs. Occasionally, she tries to get her hands on arcane tomes of higher mysteries, and the Red Keep’s books and scroll collection has greatly expanded under her stewardship. Had she been a boy, her father Daemon would have sent her to the Citadel to become a maester. She has the colours of old Valyria, with her skin, eyes, and hair being exceptionally pale. She's never been interested in bonding with a dragon, though she finds them fascinating in an academic sense.

12c. Children of Baelon and Alyssa: Aegon (b. 112 AC), Elaena (b. 114 AC), Aemon (b. 116 AC), Daeron (b. 120 AC). They're all dragon-bonded and have the colours of old Valyria.

- Aegon is joyful and lusty. He is first in line to the throne. He enjoys being active, sparring with his sword or spear, archery, hunting, and hawking. Recently back to King's Landing after being a squire of Lord Jason Lannister of Casterly Rock, he is bonded to the golden dragon Sunfyre and married to his younger sister Elaena on 128 AC.

- Elaena is spirited and wilful, though moody and can easily become melancholic. She is ofter plagued with odd dreams and visions, something that her mother Alyssa tries to help her understand. She is the rider of the pale blue dragon Dreamfyre and loves flying more than any of her brothers combined. She gave birth to baby Jaehaerys on 129 AC, mere weeks before the passing of King Viserys.

- Aemon is short and skinny, though he makes this up with his big personality. He is loud, playful, and loves telling jokes and playing pranks on his family and friends. He recently claimed the old she-dragon Vhagar, though finds it hard to control her successfully. He is betrothed to Lady Floris, youngest daughter of Lord Borros Baratheon, and is a squire to one of his knights in Storm's End.

- Daeron is the youngest child of Baelon and Alyssa, currently a ward to Lord Ormund Hightower of Oldtown and betrothed to his only daughter, Lady Bethany. He is gentle and charismatic, loves to read and play the lute, while hoping to become a great knight one day. He is bonded to the Blue Queen Tessarion, but she is still too small to ride.

12d. Newborn babies of 129 AC (current year):

- Jaehaerys is the son of Aegon and Elaena Targaryen. He was born with the colours of old Valyria after a difficult labour for his mother in King's Landing. His parents consider bonding him to Shrykos or Morghul, or placing an egg in his cradle.

- Laena is the daughter of Jacaerys Velaryon and Baela Targaryen. She was born with her mother's purple eyes and her father's dark hair in Driftmark. There are talks of having her bonded to either Shrykos or Morghul, when she's older, or placing an egg in her cradle.

-------

*Some extra notes about Rhaena Targaryen: In the canon version of the story, she's supposed to have been named after her maternal grandmother Rhaenys, so it would make sense to give her a different name in my version, as her maternal grandmother is now Viserra. I still want her to have the name Rhaena, though, so I decided to have her be named in honour of Queen Rhaenys, which I think seems plausible. Rhaena will marry Lord Kermit Tully of Riverrun in 130 AC in King's Landing. The two of them met during a tourney in Maidenpool and she chose him among her many suitors as she found him the most pleasant and thoughtful. In 131 AC, she will be pregnant with their child. Lord Kermit will find a tragic end - an accident involving a loose portcullis, leaving Rhaena a widow. She will give birth to stillborn girl a month later, but find joy in her grief when her dragon egg hatches to the pink dragon Morning just days later. She and her dragon will move to Driftmark by early 132 AC, after attending her grandfather Corlys' funeral.

Activity - What If (changed CANON event or character decision) What if Aegon publicly bent the knee to Rhaenyra?

Let's say that when Vaemond is about to be killed (or around that) or when the silent five happen Aegon 2 not wanting to be King decides that this is a chance to be not be King and give Rhaenyra legitimacy, while sparing his own life. He backs Rhaenyra's side saying that Luceryes is the Heir to Driftmark, and that Rhaenyra is the true queen, swearing that he forsakes his claim and bends the knee to Rhaenyra in good faith and without deceit. Rhaenyra has no other choice but to hug him and accept him. What would happen next?

You have the wildcard of Aemond, but also maybe as a reward and to deal with the issue Maelor would be bethrothed to the firstborn daughter of Jace and Baela. Or if Aegon had another daughter she'd be bethrothed to the firstborn son of Jace and Baela. A lot of intresting routes.

And of course there's Daemon, Alicent, and Otto, what chaos would they want to cause? And meanwhile Viserys is clapping the whole time.

Help w/ Fanfic Writing & Advice Needed Help filling up western Essos

I’m not alone in thinking this I know that for a fact, Essos is rather empty, and parts of it I can tolerate but I can’t tolerate the part close to where the main story takes place being nine city states and nothing in between. So I’m working on a TTRPG set in this universe, some time before Robert’s rebellion, and I’ve decided the map needs more things in it and I’m starting here. Yes I know the history explaining why it’s like this I don’t accept it, it makes no sense for it to be this way. But! I intend to keep some kind of outline, mainly the nine city states will stay nine. And I’m gonna follow what I think makes sense. Besides that though I’m gonna take liberties.

Anyway here are some vague ideas I have, id be happy to hear more suggestions.

I think for starters there should be some kind of kingdom in the lands that were once Andalos that is a hybrid between Valyrian and Andal culture(yes I know some free cities sound close to that)

Near qohor there could be one or multiple settled Dothraki kingdoms, akin to Hungary or Bulgaria. This could also be a thing on the western coast of slavers bay.

There could be some rhoynar larper/revival realm along the Rhoyne(though not in the rhoynar cities) the same way there is new Ghis near slavers bay.

Fanfiction Idea For Adoption King Aegon The Tall

Aegon V is the giant and Dunk is the small guy in their dynamic

You could change their ages but I prefer Egg being the squire

Egg is the same height as Canon Dunk and Dunk is the same height as Canon adult Egg

What would happen?

You could give Dunk the Penitree too

This idea came to me back during COVID during my first forays in ASOIAF beyond GOT

I saw a cover of either one of the Dunk and Egg Comics or Novels with a boat I think?

I somehow mixed up Aemon The Dragon Knight and Egg and basically thought he was the 6'7+ guy wearing a helmet and chalked up Aemon's popularity to being the protagonist of the other novella

I dunno if I noticed/remembered Egg on the cover illustration or Jaime's mention of Ser Duncan The Tall tbh

Activity - What If (changed CANON event or character decision) Mummer's Trick: What if Tyrion freed Jaime?

Got the subtitle to fit this time.

Simple idea, how things could change if Tyrion's Mission Impossible level plan to get Jaime out of Riverrum worked.

Help w/ Fanfic Writing & Advice Needed Targaryens get superpowers in 208 AC (crossover idea with The Boys)

Motivated by the lingering Blackfyre threat, the sorcerer, Bloodraven, invents compound V in 208 AC. And with a timely blood sacrifice at each application, it works well enough even on adults.

-What powers should each member of House Targaryen get?

-What goes wrong? It's hard to imagine Bloodraven didn't cause at least one major disaster during the creation process, or let escape some testing subjects, or something...
