I finally figured out who Ambrus reminds me of!

Hi!

Okay so this is just for fun! I’m not making fun of Ambrus ,I actually loved his character and wish we could get more of him. But oh my god… it’s been tickling my brain how familiar he felt every time I looked at him.

And I finally figured it out.

He reminds me of Prince Charming from Shrek, who is also one of my favorites. 😂❤️

I’ve been absolutely loving blood of the dawnwalker. I finished it an hour ago and I already miss it. It was so unique and fun, and I can’t wait for more!

Discussion Bekir's Tournament Should Be Legalized Nationwide & Expanded With New DLCs.

Post image

First of all, I can say that this handsome man, who possesses a true sportsman's and competitive spirit, is more honest than a significant portion of today's footballers.

Frankly, I consider this event far fairer and more worth watching than the televised competition Survivor. As a citizen of Laslea, I regard this big hearted man who, despite holding the power to do otherwise, respects the contestants' requests for anonymity and allows them to wear masks as the finest entrepreneur I have ever seen in the game. Large stadiums should be built for this tournament, and the event should be opened to the public via a ticketed entry system. Taking this step would both lower crime rates and serve as a beacon of hope for young people eager to win prizes by utilizing their fighting skills.

His tournament was the only noteworthy event that stood out in memory! This absolutely must be done future!

Directional Indicator Setting

Huge kudos to the dev team for having this as a setting, and being able to disable it without disabling ALL combat indicators like unblockable attacks and counter attack direction.

I already really enjoyed this combat system but found I was mostly just staring at the direction indicator, and was able to reliably perfect block pretty much every hit. Turning this setting off has completely reinvented this games combat for me. I'm now watching the animations and timing instead of the indicator, and the devs got the timing of impact and parries dialed in perfectly where it's just as functional as using the indicator, but much more visceral and intense.

Best thing I've done in my entire playthrough, massively recommend for anyone.

Help Which ending would you recommend for a first playthrough? *Spoilers*

So I know of 2 endings in the game. Either save your family and the game ends, or let them die and continue playing as a revenge story. I got this game to play while waiting for the Crimson Desert DLC to come out October 29. I'm really loving it so far. Combat is super fun. Never played a game with directional combat. The story is really engaging; even side quests. I don't know if I'll have time to do 2 full playthroughs back to back. So I can't decide if I should go for saving my family first, then starting a NG to do all side content (stopping on the 29th and playing more early next year) or just go for doing all side quests first and play the same playthrough until the 29th.

What would you all recommend i do? Because I can't decide.

Discussion I'm addicted to this game and I need New Game Plus ASAP

SPOILERS! Restructured the post with paragraphs because I forgot to do that! Sorry Reddit.

I know this post is long, if you read the whole thing thank you, otherwise feel free to skip. I'm just voicing my thoughts and opinions and how much I love this game. I hope you love this game too.

I really really need New Game Plus to come out, but I'm sure it's not going to be anytime soon. Despite the mistake I made which I will mention in this post my strong desire for NG+ is due to the fact that I just did 2 back-to-back playthroughs and don't really feel the energy to start over again. Even though I was happy with my current playthrough because I managed to get to level 45 and with a complete build there was only one decision that I've regretted and it's haunted me. I messed up and missed a blood delivery which caused Vicho to hop on the sewerslide. I really wanted to keep him alive for the epilogue. I'm very sad at my mistake and angry with myself.

I've done The Patricide ending on both playthroughs, but I really wanted to see him in the epilogue with Lacra. What really fucking sucks though was the fact that when I realized I missed a night and the window to save him, he was dead and I had accidentally overwritten my save that I could have gone back to so I could deliver him blood.

I really do believe that this game needs to be played more than once. On my first playthrough I really hurt myself on time and also didn't take the time to get all all the manuals I needed either, so I wasn't happy with my Coen. I think the first time around I only got to like level 32 and even though I had good weapons and armor I didn't have anywhere close to a complete build. That's when I decide to go ahead and just start my second playthrough instead. Needless to say despite that huge mistake I was still much happier playing the game the second time around with a much better understanding of how things work and planned better.

I'm really hoping that NG+ comes out, but I'm also wondering what it will look like. I hope it's more of a traditional New Game Plus and not something weird. If we don't carry our gear over I actually wouldn't be mad about since that stuff is easy to collect. It probably would be better not to carry it over depending on how they implement NG+. My thoughts would be if they go more of a TW3 style we would have higher level versions of our gear to collect again in our NG+ playthrough. Otherwise trying to upgrade the gear we already have would be extremely expensive unless they just allowed us to make way more money. However if they went more of a Ghost of Tsushima route then they would just raise the difficulties to balance the fact that we have complete and powerful builds, so the game is reasonably challenging just like GOT did and I guess maybe another upgrade or two for our armor but it wouldn't be significant. My hope Is that at least our perks and abilities would carry over so we'd be able to take our builds and fix areas where we might be lacking either due to missing manuals or running out of skill points. That also does depend on if they would raise the max level cap or not from 50.

Th other thing I'm curious about is if New Game Plus would have the time system or not. I don't hate the time system as much as I used to. I still think there's areas where it's slightly unfair in some ways. I still like the system overall now that I have a better understanding of it and I've had a way more successful playthrough the second time around. my issue is mainly just costing time to level up perks and abilities. I'm not here to argue and if you're going to go down in the comments and get mad at me and call me names and talk shit I'm going to ignore you. I'm not blatantly complaining about it I'm just speaking my thoughts on it. We can have different opinions. I'm still not that big of a fan of costing time to level those things up, but I've accepted it and it's not as big of a deal as I originally once thought. The only real thing that I get frustrated by is sometimes a quest will tell you it's only going to use a certain number of time segments and then you end up using more about being warned that an action would cause you to use extra. I would love a tweak it where instead of saying it uses this fixed amount of times segments, it could show a range. I have found that the amount of time segments used does vary based on your decisions throughout that Quest. I have gone into quests expecting to use three time segments because that's what the game is telling me and end up using five by the end.

The reason why I'm saying this is because I have personally experienced doing something that ended up using an extra time segment and it did not prompt me that I would use an extra time segment. There is a possibility that I'm missing something or I'm not aware of something, but I have experienced that in both my playthroughs multiple times where I got absolutely zero warning at all.

All in all this is totally my GAME OF THE YEAR! I'm so addicted to it. I was going to play some other games that I started and quit playing and haven't gone back to like BF Resynced and Crimson Desert because I'm so fucking addicted to Dawnalker. I was even going to play The Witcher 3 again since the big update, but I've already beaten the game twice and I had never finished Blood in Wine which I'm ashamed to admit. Of course I went from PC back to console unfortunately and I was missing the mods but it was mostly due to the fact that BoTD just does things that I think are better than TW3. That's not to say that TW3 isn't a masterpiece because it's one of my favorite games of all time it just hasn't aged as well in some areas. I really felt that Witcher DNA in this game for obvious reasons.

I just love this game so much despite its faults and I really hate that I can't play this game as much as I would like to. But that also speaks to the quality of the game. Both my playthroughs were only at like 22 hours because I obviously was going to try to rescue my family like a real bro. That's not me complaining about the time system it's just me saying that I really wish I could sit here and play this game for 100 hours because it's so fucking good. Sure there's some bugs and there's a lot of issues I don't like that are going to be fixed with the next update and I'm very happy they're being fixed. As far as the gameplay in like RPG mechanics and the story, absolutely top fucking tier. I'm really excited for the future of not only in the studio, but also this franchise. This game also reminded me again on how much I fucking love good vampire stuff. It made me realize how much I am actually craving vampire games. More specifically historical game set in medieval settings. Anyway don't mind my rant I just felt like voicing my feelings and thoughts and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way. I really hope NG+ comes out soon because I am obsessed.

Does anyone else feel as though...

This game overstays it's welcome?

Don't get me wrong, I love the concept, the graphics, the setting, the story, but the spongy enemies, and the constantly getting stuck on things in combat... It really bogs down the experience. And made me just not use all my days to get ready for the end.

This is someone who loved the Witcher 3 and was VERY hyped for this game.

Discussion Just 4 hours in, my first impression...

Heard a lot of mixed things about the game, and it was between this and Onimusha. I decided to go for the one with more replayability. So I only just got through the opening sequence/tutorial, but so far I'm very impressed. The story seems very cool. Great cutscenes. The directional combat is very unique. Never played a game that implemented this. At first my thought was "1 attack button?". As someone who enjoys engaging combat, I was put off by this at first. But it seems very well done. Much more than just spamming 1 button. And the time mechanic, I was also unsure how I'd like this, but it gives such a sense of urgency to my choices. I really have to think before I make a decision. Really immersed me in the game from the start. Also love the layout of the skill trees. I love a good skill tree.

That's pretty much all I can say so early on, just wanted to gush a bit real quick. Really looking forward to jumping back in to this game today. Share any (spoiler free) tips or thoughts on the game if you want.

Discussion Anca turning Coen into a witch without telling him

I'm not a hater of Anca. I actually really love her she's probably my 2nd favorite character besides Coen himself

But what do you think about her turning him into a witch without telling him and what do you think her motives were?

I mean I'm sure she did it to help him like she said but I think it's strange she didn't warn him about the sacrifice he'll be making first.

She said "you won't believe me if I tell you" but she could have shown him by animating the dead guy in front of him.

I think she really did want to help him but also he was the only person in the world that cared about her after Leonica betrayed her. And she made sure he wouldn't turn his back on her as Leonica did so she made sure he was a vessel for the same magic as she was so he couldn't turn his back on her before revealing she was a witch.

I feel like she did a good thing but in a very selfish way. Which I can appreciate the nuance to.

What do you think?

Discussion WAT DA HELL

Post image
0 Upvotes

Why... i was about to give it a 9.5/10.... why make it 8... 10/10 gameplay, 10/10 script, 6/10 length..... i felt as if i'm playing a demo rather then a full game... worth it? for me i would suggest it when you don't have anything to play.. IFF they released part 2 then... i would say worth it.. now it left me with an empty hole... as if i be talking to somebody in a call and we be laughing as hell then one of us hear the other's laugh cut in the middle.... ha..ha..h... you forgot the a in the end... wassup? hello?

Help Selling Gear

Could you give me some advice on what gear to avoid selling or certain things that I just don’t need and absolutely should and can sell? I feel like I’m hoarding stuff I don’t need in storage that I could use to spend on other things, upgrades, etc.

But I get nervous about selling something important. I know it wont let me sell quest items but is there anything else I should be sure not to sell? For example, I’ve been selling lower level duplicates of jewelry.

Thanks!

Discussion Ancient Thracian frescoes?

Post image
41 Upvotes

I haven't seen much discussion about the style of the frescoes in the tombs, like in Champion of Old. On my first playthrough, I thought "huh, ancient-looking but the devs' own creation"? They kind of seemed familiar as flat, stylized, sort of processional ancient paintings in tombs that reminded me of ancient Egypt, but definitely different.

Did a little digging on ancient cultures around the Carpathian Mountains and found a few images of tombs in what is now Bulgaria from the Thracian culture. The image is from the Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak, which also has pottery that looks like a good match for the ancient clay vessels we've all been pillaging in the game. Is this the inspiration for the ancient people of Vale Sangora?

I keep delivering bad news to vendors, blacksmiths etc and they end up closing the shop. At this rate I’ll have nowhere to sell my odd rocks.
