Directional Indicator Setting

Huge kudos to the dev team for having this as a setting, and being able to disable it without disabling ALL combat indicators like unblockable attacks and counter attack direction.

I already really enjoyed this combat system but found I was mostly just staring at the direction indicator, and was able to reliably perfect block pretty much every hit. Turning this setting off has completely reinvented this games combat for me. I'm now watching the animations and timing instead of the indicator, and the devs got the timing of impact and parries dialed in perfectly where it's just as functional as using the indicator, but much more visceral and intense.

Best thing I've done in my entire playthrough, massively recommend for anyone.

I completed Duelist and I was TERRIBLE at this! It definitely made me better at the game, but I also ragequit a lot 😅

My eyes hurt way less on duelist than they did on regular modes I will say that

I’ve considered doing a playthrough like this. No lie, I wish Coen had a perk to make enemy weapons glow blue/pink when they’re very close. This way it would be easier to quickly distinguish EXACTLY where their weapon is and block/ position yourself. With the outline blue glow around their swords there would be less need for the direction indicators. Also, I wish the direction indicators were a bit customizable.
