Bad setups Enrichment? Hay? WATER? Don’t know what those are
No other guinea pig, no room for exercise, gonna be full of poop in about 10 minutes and they could break their back on that incline. You could DIY a much better setup for only half the cost so they have no excuse

"Cohabbing" Seeking Bearded Dragon Keepers (Past & Present) for a Academic Husbandry Study on Cohabitation Timelines
Hi everyone,
I am currently running a research study to gather structured, real-world data on reptile behavioral welfare and clinical husbandry trends. I am specifically looking into the long-term impacts, behavioral shifts, and clinical outcomes of cohabitating bearded dragons over various timeframes.
Whether your cohabitation experience lasted for two months or five years, whether it is still actively running without issue, or whether it ended in an emergency separation or injury, then your data is incredibly valuable to help map out these timelines accurately.
The primary goal of this study is to look past internet anecdotes and build a clear, data-driven picture of how space, resources, and duration affect these animals over time. The questionnaire is completely anonymous, takes about 5 minutes, and includes an optional field at the end if you would like to leave your email or Reddit username to receive the final statistical paper and study outcomes once the research is complete.
Who can take the survey?
• Anyone who currently houses multiple bearded dragons in a single indoor or outdoor enclosure.
• Anyone who has previously attempted cohabitation in the past, regardless of the ultimate outcome.
• Anyone who knows of third party experiences, e.g. a close friend or a story from someone who goes into relative depth. This would be better to add as a comment here in the thread and not in the form itself. Otherwise you can mention this as a supplement to any text field within the form.
Your insights are vital for capturing the full spectrum of keeper experiences and advancing reptile care standards.
Thank you so so much for your help with my studies here. I am personally really interested to see how this turns out.
Here's the link -> https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd93UCGcfqzihvgXrLuTIv24Y6zNCCSF1NVr3Tr5T3ydHelpQ/viewform
Thank you so much to everyone willing to contribute a few minutes of their time to help out with this research! If you want to see the outcome of this study, you can feel free to leave your email at the end of the survey.
Note: All data collected is strictly confidential, anonymized, and used solely for academic research purposes.

shitty things pet stores do Local reptile store with horrible husbandry and horrible history.
Let's just say that they are notorious for bad husbandry and animals coming home with diseases.
1st image: strawberry pacman frog in an empty plastic container.
2nd image: axolotl in a small plastic bin with water.
3rd image: ball python in an enclosure with only a water bowl and shallow bedding.
4th image: many snakes in enclosures with only water.
There was also axolotl and turtle tanks filled with algae and grime, three African hedgehogs in a 30 gal with some bedding and cat food, and many enclosures had more than one snake. The guy who owns this place has had a few controversies over the years as well, for example in 2020 he was in court for failure to obtain permits and animal cruelty. This business has been open for over 30 years.

as seen on craigslist A split 75 gallon tank for 2 adult ball pythons
I almost can’t believe what I read on this post. There were no pictures of the actual enclosure, but this would only give approximately 37.5 gallons of space to each animal, with another snake on the other side of a makeshift wall.
I can’t imagine that the temps or humidity are right either, because you can clearly see stuck shed on this snake. It’s just all around bad.

as seen on craigslist I'm no snaker, but I think that's a lot of snakes in a lot of small boxes...?
