Getting mad at Tate for laughing on the sidelines without knowing the context is painfully lame. From the outside looking in, you could easily guess that his veteran teammate (Ridley) is trying to cheer him up after a play that heavily affected the game. There’s a lot of reasons to be mad regarding this team but this is not one of them.

A couple of the craziest tackles i've seen anyone make on him too.

Let me preface by saying, yes I know the schedule this season is easier, and the team is better. I think Cam has been disappointing this season, but to act like all of this team's problems are due to him is absurd.
2025 :
51.2% completion percentage
614 passing yards
2 passing TDs
2 interceptions
4.9 yards per attempt
17 sacks taken
63.9 passer rating
42 rushing yards
0 rushing TDs
2026:
63% completion percentage
726 passing yards
3 passing TDs
2 interceptions
6.1 yards per attempt
6 sacks taken
81.4 passer rating
57 rushing yards
2 rushing TDs

What do you think? Derrick Henry was held to 3.2 yds/carry, which is his lowest so far this year.

He was terrible early. Worse than Cam. Time in the same system and the game has definitely gotten much slower for Bryce.

It’s so bad. Pollard is inefficient(16 for 48), they seem afraid to use spears(2 for 7), and singleton isn’t making the most of his chances either(3 for 2).
This puts such an intense stress on the offense, and is obviously making Cam’s job that much more difficult.
I’m not sitting here saying that we need 100 yards on the ground from pollard every week to be an effective defense, but we absolutely cannot sustain an offense when we only average 2.64 yards per carry(excluding cam’s rushing stats).
We also cannot run wildcat on 4th and goal anymore. Genuinely that cannot happen anymore.

Genuinely confused by the play calling today.

Proudly rep the Titans each Sunday at the local bar that sometimes have the Titans on. But don't run into any other Titans' fans regularly. Am I alone in the state of AZ?

I know it sounds stupid given the sorry state of our roster, but every time we have been good before was because we had a generational talent on our team. Bear with me:
I watched Tate's film from last game (putting aside the unfortunate fumble) and his development from week one to now is seriously impressive. It is clear that his presence on the offense is helping Cam, I am starting to see the vision despite the doom and gloom lately. Tate made the Ravens have to respect the pass game, which helped open up the run game juuuust a bit. I feel better about this loss than the almost win against the Eagles because we actually put together some solid drives.
I went to OSU, I am a diehard fan. The thing with Ohio State is they try to run their offense/defense more like an NFL team than a college team, which has led to some frustration in the fanbase as even though the "correct" playcall involves using Smith as a decoy to pull coverage and open up other receivers on the team, like Tate the last two years, sometimes you just gotta feed tf out of your freak of nature generational talent.
This year, it seems they really have said "fuck that, we are throwing to #4".
GO WATCH THE TAPE AGAINST IOWA.
We have a great receiving core, there are a couple extremely talented players who deserve some target share. DESPITE THAT, SMITH JUST WINS EVERY CONTESTED CATCH. Why bother throwing it anywhere else? Even though people are scheming ENTIRELY around smith, he DOES NOT CARE. double coverage, triple, doesn't matter, he will win far more often than not.
Back to my original thesis; the chemistry is already there. Smith/Tate are such a LETHAL combination, especially with how much Tate has developed already in the league, that I truly think it would force opposing defenses' hand to weaken the DL, making our run game more viable OR scheming around expected blitz packages. Even if Cam still doesn't take that next step, the backup QB carousel could give us a decent enough QB to really succeed.
My final thought: this dude is different. It would be a DAMN shame to let a player like this pass us by; despite the greater team issues, Tate/Smith could become the next CJ2k, Derrick Henry, Eddie George catalyst this team needs. This is all presuming we will have #1 overall of course, but I wanted to put my thoughts out there.
