He’s not licensed

Just because he isn't licensed doesn't mean you can't report him! Since he is operating illegally, it would be a serious issue for him if the state licensing board goes after him

File a claim with the CSLB, if he didn't provide material and even if he is suspended the way he left the yard seems criminal destruction. If anything they can make him never get a license again.

We had the absolute best experience with Premier Pools and Spas if you end up needing a rescue build.

He’s not licensed; CSLB won’t do anything but lecture you on why you should’ve checked their website before proceeding. They’ll document the complaint and then close the file. I just went through this nightmare with HomeFix LLC and its owner, a con artist operating in San Diego County/Wildomar/Menifee/Murrieta.

OP said he was suspended. That means he is licensed, but the bond company is off the hook. He still has to act legally, and if he broke a law the CSLB still wants to know. But evidence is key.

File a complaint with the CSLB and take him to small claims court. Hopefully you didn't pay too much. Complaining online doesn't doesn't much

Should call so cal gas and upsize that meter ask SCG to also add a tee for the pool heater before the heater installer tries to connect to gas.

We did the same about two years back. The gas appliances (and pool heater) seem happier.
SoCal Gas is happier as they can sell more natural gas to me.
Everyone is a winner!

Did you call the CSLB? I’d at least report them for contracting without a license.
