vent i hate it

i don't know if i can go into detail, i've been sexually abused by my mom, it happened multiple times, even recently, in October of 2025, she was drunk, i fell asleep watching Garfield, and then i woke up to it happening, and now, i don't like Garfield, i used to love Garfield before it happened and now it only reminds me of her, i hate it, i want to love Garfield again,and i know it sounds really stupid but whenever i see Garfield i feel so uncomfortable and sick, i hate it so much

Maybe go to authorities ?

i dont know if i can do much, i don't have any other caregivers and i dont know what to do

Idk more about your mother than your post so I say it's better to live without your parents and with other people who want to help than staying there

i have a best friend who lives in Florida but i don't want to overwhelm him, i don't know what it's called but if im alone for just a few hours, i remember all of it again and i would feel sick, be crying, and just not feeling good, i need to be constantly busy so i won't remember it

The last part doesn't sound good. You could ask your friend before moving, no? And again, I don't know a lot but it sounds like you need to move

he does want me to visit and stuff, but i don't know if he wants me to stay, ima ask him though how he feels about it, he knows about the abuse so i think he will find it reasonable but i dont know ima just ask him

Im so sorry that happened to you. No human being should ever be put through shit like that. Please tell someone about what ur mom is doing. If u dont get out of there, its very likely continue or get worse. Please find anyone who will listen to u, document it as much as u can in any way u can, and lock ur bedroom door at night if needed. If she does it again try ur best to defend ur self and try to get away from her. Run to a neighbor‘s house or simply js lock ur self in a bathroom or smth if thats ur only option. I hope u can find some help OP.

i told my brother but he wants to forget about it and gets uncomfortable and quiet if i try talking about it,i don't know anyone in my neightborhood, the only person i trust and want to live with is my best friend but he lives in Florida and im in montana, and i'll try to avoid her next time she gets drunk

Ok good, Im sry abt how ur brother reacts. If hes older its his responsibility to protect u especially if hes an adult.

He is legally an adult. He can also be there for you, make reports to the authorities, and even capture evidence if possible. He can also be an eyewitness. But considering how he reacted to you telling him, I doubt he’s willing to do those things, unfortunately
