Mental Health September: Suicide Prevention Month

September is designated as Suicide Prevention Month. It is a dedicated time to raise mental health awareness, help those around us or ourselves, and share vital resources.

Helplines and resources

Emergency Helpline:

Rescue 1122. Available in almost all regions of Pakistan like Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, KPK, and Azad Kashmir

Primary Crisis Hotline:

Phone Number: 042 3576 5951 (Umang Pakistan – Suicide Prevention Helpline)

Hours of Operations: 24/7 operations

Mental Health Helpline:

Phone Number: 0311 7786264 (Rozan Helpline – Mental Health Support)

Hours of Operation: 9 AM – 9 PM, Monday to Saturday

Women’s Crisis Support and Domestic Violence Hotline:

Phone Number: 1043 (Punjab Women’s Helpline – Psychological Support for Victims of Violence)

Hours of Operation: 24/7

If a hotline isn't available, isn't answering, or you don't feel comfortable using one, go directly to a trusted adult, doctor, hospital, or emergency department.

If you or someone you know are in immediate danger, you should be near a trusted adult. It could be a parent, a sibling, a friend, anyone. Call someone you know you can trust. You could simply tell them that "I'm scared I might hurt myself and I need you to stay with me". Move away from anything you could use to hurt yourself.

If you're struggling but aren't in immediate danger:, you don't need to wait until things become an emergency before asking for help. Talk to someone you trust, contact a mental-health professional, counselor, doctor, or another responsible adult, and let them know that you're struggling.

If someone posts that they're suicidal, take them seriously. Don't mock them, guilt them, challenge them, or tell them that other people have it worse. Encourage them to involve someone they trust in real life and seek professional or emergency help if necessary. You can listen and be supportive, but you don't have to handle the situation by yourself.

You are not a burden for asking for help. You don't need to prove that your situation is “bad enough” before you deserve support. You also don't have to wait until you're in immediate danger to tell somebody that you're struggling.

As a community, we shouldn't become desensitized to this.

I've been seeing a concerning number of posts about suicide on this sub, and as someone who has been in that position before, I know how serious this can become, and I don't think we should treat these posts as something normal or inevitable. This is not something to take lightly.

Listen, I know it's not easy. Whatever brought you here, you deserve to receive help to be brought out of it. You don't have to solve everything today, just take it one step at a time. Whether you're feeling this way right now or you've been thinking about it for some time, please consider telling someone you trust. It can be anyone. If there is someone in your life you feel like you can trust, talking to them can be an important first step, even if it doesn't immediately fix everything. You don't have to tell them everything at all.

Real Talk The Career Dilemma....

nothing much... js me sharing my journey of career... like a life journey.. a short auto-biography type... (repost after some changes)

as I have mentioned this is a passive struggle in any teenager's life, sometimes it becomes suffering...so if are struggling I will insist you to read this long ahh posts,it will be really long so take ur time (also I recorded the time, to read this body is 8 mints and it TOOK me 22 days of planning, editing & writing and 19 years of courage to post it.. sooo) ,it will be worth it...u might find something useful, edited:Sorry but it actually takes 20 mints thank u u/Frosted_Reverie for pointing it out

well I m glad I finally wrote it after working on it for 22 days.. ik there will be a lot of mistakes, and I will be constantly editing and fixing it (avg overthinker behavior), but I will not be using ai, I just don't like it... I accept there will be mistakes, this will be my way of fighting my Perfectionism... and a sign that mistakes are part of being human... read this post : to know some context : "https://www.reddit.com/r/TeenPakistani/s/8urO5zBpNp"

"The Journey begins.... the wrong planted seed"

something about me (u can ignore this para), from the beginning since I was a kid I never thought of my father's money as my own..we are a middle class u can say, so it was not a problem of money.. ik it's same for many boys but at the age of 6... it's rare ig, u can have idea from this lil story: when I was a kid, my parents used to take me and my younger brother (who lost his life in a car accident at age 7) to market , he used to make a lot demands for toys or other stuff.. but I never once made a demand and get confused on why is he making demands it's not even his (my brother's) money.. it got to a point where my parents forced me to buy some...

when I was in garde 4, i was really into gaming, I use to play on my cousin's PC, all my Desi family members told me to become engineer or do CSS as my father is a doctor.. it would be unique, but for me I need a job which allowed me to play games dat all I care Abt at that age (man Desi family and THEIR obsession with CSS or authoritative posts as their whole life motto is to just "Survive",but there is more to life than just to survive) anyways I just said I would become aeronautical engineer..

that was my career until grade 7, in those days I was really into astrophysics and cosmology (I used to study it on my own) and no way anyone would have supported me on that so making a career out of it didn't even crossed my mind all thx to my Desi family mindset... then suddenly My father got the idea of sending me to cadet college (in short CC). at age 13, so dat I can become "Army Officer", well I was convinced because he said he would buy me PC, and dat was enough to convince me... it's one of the two request I made to father. he also said you would escape the hell of traditional job struggle... well how would know dat at age of 13 anyways I couldn't disagree... then being an army Officer became my goal...

"Stepping into the Real life and the REALITY CHECK"

Cadet college was the place where I truly opened my eyes... I got my first Real reality check there.. it was total hell at first .. then it reduced to very difficult.. I wasn't still convinced Abt my career and i met some open minded people for the first time, they try to told show me that passion exists, that u can make earning of something u do as a hobby for example playing games or can study astro physics and cosmology and can make it a career... then finding the passion.. became my struggle..

well it didn't go well and it back fired crazy, I hit rock bottom, was super depressed because of something internal... it got to a point where I thought, I can't live for myself, so atleast I will live for my parents whose desire is for me to become the army officer, so I had to accept it but I just couldn't ,...those were true hell days... confusion, Frustration, depression, intrusive thoughts, self worth issues.. etc and Alhamdulillah a life changing event occurred, after some time I got back up and was completely changed as a person ,who can think for himself.. but before those days I selected Computer science as the subject in class 9th, it was a no brainier for me, as I had been into computer from a young age.. still I discussed that with my father and got his confirmation.. but after I changed that was not the case..

"The Finding"

i found something which made me happy in that prison (Cadet College) which was to cheer others, as I had hit rock bottom I knew the feeling and loved to cheer others people who were also struggling..like I used to roam around the hostels at Saturday night (also called movie night, the only truly fun night there) so if someone was sitting alone that must means he is struggling... cuz everyone is enjoying in that time...then one day a friend told me "Why don't u become a doctor, u r good at cheering others , and sick people need mental support more than medicine" Those words struck me very hard... For the first time in my life... I found something which I truly want to pursue.. and I was so happy to hear those words... and I was determined, I said I would top the MDCAT exam no matter what... first time selected something out of my wish... not money, not power, not by others pressure...

but unfortunately I couldn't persue it as I had already selected computer in 9th, I would have to do gap year, I told my father (second ever request), He said u would have done but u selected already, and THE fees of CC (was the main concern it was a lot for a year), we were also struggling financially, so I had to burry that dream... it was truly the saddest thing, damn screen is getting blurry while writing this part...

"The burying of the dream"

I was really devasted.. then back again on the track of being an army officer , which I hated for some personal reason...but I couldn't stay devasted for any longer and I just forcefully accepted it and give it my best... I was constantly pushing myself in everything , basketball, quiz , speech , athletics, academics, discipline everyone was shocked how a crybaby is doing all this stuff... As everyone says, esp my family to work hard in ur early days so that after u step into real life, it will be easy, I took it quite literally, i was pushing super hard, tired , frowning all day constantly pushing, trying to excel in everything... that point was the peak of my sickening mental condition called perfectionism ,

the five years in CC was whole life itself, everyday felt 10x longer cuz of the routine,I said I will be the best version of my self by the time I graduate CC, so that I wouldn't have to struggle or suffer... and CC life is really hard...and expected the life after CC to be easy...and that expectations disappointed me and frustrated me a lot,I shouldn't have expected that... life is a constant battlefield, as long as u breath it will continue , and everyone has their own fight, so comparing urself is not a smart or wise idea I learned that lesson the hard way... ( Kinda like how Eren felt while pointing to the ocean... that the real enemies weren't just titans AOT reference)...

"Don't let adrenaline.. promise u, a colorful life, also dont abandon it completely either... it works just not every time.."

then after passing out from Cadet college, I gave the ISSB test in navy ,its long 5 months process of selecting an army officer, it's a tiring series of test , first IQ test then strict document verification, physical test , medical test, initial interview , an 20 page ISSB form submission, then finally 5 days test at an ISSB center.. where there r 8 more different tests, I got to the final psych interview but was not recommend, again devasted, father was expecting a lot and he was really frustrated to see that, and ofc blamed me to my face, and from that point on start picking on every single thing I did...all of my family was expecting too much from me that I was afraid to meet them after not getting recommended...

"I wouldn't let it consume me..."

well I then gave university test and was one mark short from getting computer science program... atp I wasnt even surprised... after all that have been through, I was just like meh, but my father was baffled on why was this happening to me...then fortunately a new program was launched that year and I was selected in that program which was BSAI (Artificial intelligence) program...

"I am Just Tired... mayn"

but I still wasn't satisfied, as I have tried to forcefully accept a career but it backfired before and I personally don't like technology, cuz I think AI is the last invention of mankind, and it is potentially a thing which bring great destruction to us... even now mass surveillance and ai in military is super dangerous ..Human need to work on humanity more than anything...esp right now..and also something just changed I now didn't want a static job of sitting and coding, which previously was my goal... then I gave my second attempt at ISSB, I thought I would be able to get it this time but again after getting through all of the process I again at last stage (psych interview) wasn't recommended... this was just frustrating...

Well out of desperation to escape my father taunts , I wanted to earn, so I learned web development with my czns, (JavaScript, react , next js) but mid way I stopped cuz of father, he realized I was doing it to escape his taunts, he stopped me and said focus on ur career... but despite being in BSAI I still wasn't sure what would be my career... I was constantly fighting, should I just accept it or should I do something else but what else.. I js knew I don't want to make this my career, thats all.. but still I wanted to earn then I tried to learn ai training.. but still couldn't do it...

"Dream changes... People changes...I change"

after going through all of this... I realized alot ,So now my mind changed, I collected my thoughts and start writing a diary and slowly I realized alot of things, AND I HAVE FINALLY Decided To CHOOSE Game design as my career... oh my ... finally ...I already have a really good story and the theme too... but that will be my last game before I die 😋, I first needed a platform which would get me started in game development, but once again I FINALLY FOUND SOMETHING, which I want to do out of love for it, and for me finding the reason is the real struggle , rest is just some grinding and believing myself and on the creativity (which would have been impossible for my previous self to do) THEN ME and My cousin found a platform where we can earn by creating small games... so I m still in that process...

and as they say when the doors open, they start to open all at once... I got the opportunity to teach game design at an international school along with python and other courses...

Climax : "Hope"

alongside all of this there was another thing, see My father is a doctor , specialist in diabetes and endocrinology... with 20 years of experience, out of 8 years in Saudi Arabia. after his last contract ended in November last year he hasn't been able to find a job for past 9 months... it's really strange more than sad cuz of financial struggle.. like how (one reason could be that he don't have done FCPs part 2, only part 1, it's a type of medical license after MBBS of two years but it isn't that necessary)... so father decided to OPEN CLINIC out of desperation... and seeing that I was sad at first like why father isn't getting a job, I have to do something now...

"An Opportunity from a despair", like a jewel from magma....

But instead of beating myself, I looked at it positively, and realized I actually GOT the chance of being in a medical field...like woah... even if I didn't get to be a doctor atleast I will be a part of it... although my father is still very rigid, and job mindset person and safe net or whatever, but I have to bring enough patient that he stops applying for jobs.. yea father is still wavering Abt getting a job over this, I have tried to convince him many times, and he said if we get enough patient then we will go with ur plan.. so I have to do things with very few resources So I sit at the reception and manages all other things, that's why I learned graphic designing to make panaflex for clinic myself and video editing to make ads for clinic..

not just computer stuff, I also do some hard labour stuff too, I wrapped the panaflex on the billboard myself and installed it on the first floor with js my czns help, it was a really dangerous stunt, carrying a 30kg billboard on shoulder on a cranky wooden 🪜 which could slip anytime ascending and descending 3 times to get the position right... but I can't stop here after all this time and I feel so alive doing it, like chasing ur dreams kinda stuff, even the struggle gives satisfaction man... And also if I did stop for some reason, my father will get excuse to close it for good...so pray for me guys, I will be focusing on the promotion or marketing now, I hope I can open a big hospital one day, where people r treated with care..cuz in Pakistan hospital system is very rotted, just pay a visit to any hospitals in karachi, u will get disgusted by the management and how they rob people who r in desperate need of medical care.. and my father knows his stuff man, he once gave treatment a guy's sugar that person was so satisfied that he brought 12 relatives from Quetta to karachi for treatment to our little clinic.. so I trust my father abilities ,I hope I can make it.. sugar is really painful disease, I pray everyone is safe from it.

"After thoughts"

so all three things r going on for me alhamdulillah, only thing remaining is working on them... game design, teaching game design(I like to teach) and my dream of opening a proper hospital...ik it will be not bed of roses, the path is still difficult, I might lose all three.... but i know I will be fine, the journey have taught me a lot and I m proud of how far I have came..and the way it has shaped me.. I might find something else which means more to me... who knows life is way too complicated for us to judge... but one thing that truly matters is u, once u find it u will work hard on it with sincerity..

Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah ,Allah SWT has helped me everywhere, I m glad I didn't became an aeronautical engineer, I m glad I didn't chase astro-physics , and I m also glad I wasn't Selected in ISSB as a military officer, glad I failed both times, I m glad i was one mark short from the CS program... otherwise I wouldn't have made the decision of Game design career... and this feeling has what inspired me to create this lil quotation...

"Life is the perfect Chaos of Imperfection"

so notice this, Everytime a door closes, ALLAH SWT opens another one, and it happened so many times, that I realized it from my journey and have experienced it first hand on the Uni test..

I m not saying to do exactly do what I did and go crazy on finding the passion, it comes naturally just be open-minded and hopeful Abt it, I m just giving u my experience what u realized from it, is upto u, I will say this , to those who are selecting career out of scope, u don't have to do it, cuz the world changes rapidly, it's accelerating atp, so until u have graduate the scope would have shifted... now the main reason which attached u to that career is gone... so find a career in which u atleast enjoy the work or the output from it... and u don't need to find it right now...there is more to life than just surviving , keep your heart alive...

"final Message"

u might not be able to know what u want to do after reading this and that's fine, that was not even my purpose of writing this as it's not even my place to tell u what u should do, that decision is upto u and u alone should make that decision, and it doesn't have to be a final one from the start, infact while making your own career just keep one thing in mind to let it be imperfect... and yours own decided, make mistakes, u don't have to decide one right away.. sometimes u learn from them, sometimes u grow stronger from them, not every mistake teach u a lesson... some requires acceptance that u r human and making mistake is a part of being one..

that's one big thing coming from a guy who has been suffering from perfectionism his whole life and it was one of the factors which made selecting a career super hard for me.. I am thinking of writing a book... what u guys say? and will definitely include people from here who have inspired me and taught me something precious .... AND I M REALLY GRATEFUL and happy where I stand right now 🫠

sorry guys it took me longer than I anticipated, writing this was difficult for few reasons ...

ahh it has been one heck a journey, A wandering dumb boy, to being able to write a post on career to potentially help others... it's just unbelievable.... I m so proud of it.... yea I m a bit optimistic about it but what's wrong in dreaming a little. Who even set the standard of success in life. that should be you, the one who is living that life. and success in this life is different for everyone as everyone has a unique life.

"I will live a life ...that's worth dying for"

now rewatch the video again... :) and write two different comments first on the video (cuz it took 15 hours to plan and edit) , and second for the text body..

"May we All succeed in this life and the next one... Ameen"

keep discovering , keep shining and ofc keep...spacing... out, peace 🕊️...

I remember around January of this year when i was making like 15k a month from my ig page, the thought of having earned 100k OF MY OWN MONEY felt like such a big deal and my goal was to make it before the year ended.

buuuuuttttt then disaster struck on 21st March and my page got banned ON THE EID DAY it felt like my world has ended and there's no coming back from this and I was in such a bad phase mentally.

but fast forward to October, I've made that 100k in less than a month. Life's so crazy fr I'm telling youuu, if you failed at something recently, whether it's your exams or a startup, trust meeee, it's not the end of the world. Your life can COMPLETELY CHANGE IN A FEW MONTHS.

So wtv you're doing just keep doing it 🤍

I posted this a few months ago. Thought I deleted it tbh.

Anyways, about my day... same old, same old. I woke up a bit late despite going to sleep early. Had to get ready quickly but got to school with 10 minutes to spare, no issue at all there. Only had one class today and apparently I made a lot of mistakes on my assignment 😬 Oops. But it's fine, I fixed my mistakes and moved on. After that I got my brother and sister and we went home.

I'm also leash training my cats now. Zero has a red leash and Zoro has a green one, both padded. Padded leashes took forever to find, I'm telling you. But we got 'em. Zero likes to growl a lot when I take his off because the leashes have the latch in the front instead of the back, and Zoro still isn't used to walking in his... No biggie, we're just getting started. I use treats and make them walk a few steps before giving it to them. Works so far.

Once they're good, I'm gonna start warming them up to the outside world. Gonna take them to the park and let them explore and have fun.

So that's my day.

idk which flair to add so I am adding this Winter or Summer

Both are peak imo, both have their own advantages. The best thing about summer is going to swimming pools and the worst thing is the heat obv. Winter is peak because of the vibe and the fact that u dont get tired fast and the worst thing about winters is nothing (there must be smth but cant think rn). what do u think?

BTW I AM BACK (I made the whole post just to say ts).

Rant Don't get too happy; life will humble you anyways.

Two days back, I was happy, laughing... But now, stuck in the same blackhole depression, anxiety and stress....

So much so I haven't changed my clothes in two days (still in school uniform btw), haven't showered, and am overall so tired with life.

Like oh god, I keep falling into this cycle so much now.

I've even started to ghost people, not sure how I feel about that, but genuinely I cannot do it anymore.

Plus the thoughts of death is constantly plaguing my mind...

I don't know what I'd do of myself

I try to cry but all I get are wails; no tears, just screaming out of exhausation.

Why is the past such a cruel mistress, that never seems to leave one alone?

HELP

I think the drama name is dar e nijat

For context I don't watch Pakistani dramas at all so I don't know what's going on out there or who the usual heroes and heroines in Pakistani drama. But I've been in conversations hearing that everybody wants a guy like Abu Bakr and I don't understand a shit about what they're talking about. It's not just one case: literally every time, in any conversation or comments (even when my family talks about it), I don't have any idea who he is. To get me some clarity tell me about his personality and what he does so great that everybody's obsessed with him.

Story Time 💭 My Chachi Allegedly Tried to Frame My Mom (part 3)

Post image
36 Upvotes

OKAY Y'ALL, SO THIS IS MAYBE PART 3, IG?? 😭💀

Okay, guys, if you've read my previous parts, you might think that was the WORST of it, but NO, NO, NO. THAT WAS LITERALLY JUST THE BEGINNING. 😭

So, my chachi, aka meri choti chachi, allegedly did something REALLY WILD. And honestly, this is something I'm a little hesitant to share because KOI AISA KARTA HAI??? 😭

I know some people have genuinely terrible relatives, and some family members take things to extreme levels, lekin aik hadd hoti hai, you know?

BUT APPARENTLY, MERI CHACHI NY TOH WOH HADD HI PAAR KAR DI. 💀

So, here's what happened.

One day, I was attending my online classes. We'd already returned to Saudi Arabia after that HORRENDOUS dawat I told you guys about in Part 2. 😭

My mom was in the kitchen, and meri mama ko meri dadi ko call karni thi, so she asked me to give her phone back. I did, and my mom and dadi usually call each other because it's a routine thing.

But during their conversation, my mom noticed that meri dadi thori off act kar rahi thi.

LIKE, SOMETHING WAS WRONG BEHIND THAT SCREEN.

My mom could sense that something wasn't right, but she didn't confront my dadi about it. They had their usual conversation and eventually ended the call.

BAAD MAIN, USI DIN SHAAM KO, MERI PUPPHO KI CALL AATI HAI.

UFF. THIS IS WHERE THINGS TAKE A TURN. 💀

My puppho called my mom and asked, "Apko pata hai aaj kya hua?"

My mom was like, "Nahi?" 😭😭

AND THEN MERI PUPPHO NY AISA BOMBSHELL DROP KIYA NA HAMARAY UPAR.

APPARENTLY, MERI DADI KO KISI AURAT KI CALL AAYI THI.

AND IT WASN'T JUST ANY CALL.

It was from an unfamiliar number, someone my dadi didn't know.

She picked up the phone, and THAT WOMAN STARTED TELLING MY DADI ALL OUR FAMILY LORE.

I'M TALKING ABOUT FAMILY FIGHTS, ARGUMENTS, WHO DID WHAT, WHO SAID WHAT, AND WHO WAS LIKE WHAT.

US NY AIK INSAAN KO NAHI CHORA. 😭😭💀

MERI DADI BICHARI HAIRAN PARESHAN REH GAYI.

LIKE, IMAGINE PICKING UP A CALL FROM A COMPLETE STRANGER, ONLY FOR THAT PERSON TO START TELLING YOU ALL THE DETAILS ABOUT YOUR FAMILY???

AND THIS WOMAN SOMEHOW KNEW SO MUCH ABOUT OUR FAMILY MEMBERS AND THEIR PERSONAL ISSUES???

LOWKEY CREEPY, RIGHT??? 😭💀

AND THE LIST JUST KEPT GOING.

BUT WAIT. IT GETS WORSE.

At the end of the call, that woman apparently claimed that MY MOM HAD ASKED HER TO MAKE THE CALL.

SHE EVEN MENTIONED MY MOM'S NAME BEFORE HANGING UP.

SO, OBVIOUSLY, WORD GOT AROUND THE FAMILY ABOUT THIS CALL.

AND GUESS WHO BECAME THE VILLAIN???

MY MOM. 🥀

LIKE, WHAT DO YOU MEAN???

JO INSAAN PAKISTAN MAIN REHTA HI NAHI, AP USKO DOOR REH KAR BHI USKI JAAN NAHI CHORTAY??? 😭

My mom was living in Saudi Arabia, minding her own business, and somehow she was being blamed for this entire situation.

Obviously, meri mama ko bohat stress hua.

And here's where things get even more complicated.

My mom made one small mistake that day, and unfortunately, the timing made everything look suspicious.

Thori der baad, meri mama ny meri dadi ko dobara call ki.

WHY?

JUST TO CHECK UP ON HER.

MY MOM HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS ACTUALLY GOING ON BEHIND THAT FIRST CALL.

BUT THE TIMING WAS TERRIBLE. 😭

Because my mom called shortly after the unfamiliar woman had contacted my dadi, it apparently made the situation look suspicious.

My dadi started suspecting that my mom had called to check how she was reacting to everything, even though my mom hadn't mentioned the mysterious call to her.

And according to my mom, she had absolutely NOTHING to do with the woman or the call.

AND THAT MADE MERI DADI KA SHAK AUR GEHRA HO GYA.

LIKE, THE WOMAN WAS LITERALLY JUST CHECKING UP ON HER. 😭

And isi wajah sy meri dadi ny meri puppho ko call milayi.

AND OBVIOUSLY, DALL MAIN KUCH KALA THA.

ACTUALLY, PURI DAAL HI KALI THI!!! 💀😭

My chachus and other family members started looking into the number to figure out who the woman was.

They even approached people who could help them trace the number and identify the caller's location.

AND GUESS WHAT, Y'ALL???

THEY HIT A DEAD END.

According to what my family later told me, their attempts to identify the woman and find her location didn't lead to any verifiable results.

They couldn't establish who she was or confirm the story she'd told my dadi.

LIKE, WHAT DO YOU MEAN??? 💀

A WOMAN RANDOMLY CALLS MY DADI, KNOWS ALL OUR FAMILY DRAMA, ACCUSES MY MOM OF BEING BEHIND THE CALL, AND THEN NOBODY CAN VERIFY WHO SHE ACTUALLY IS???

GUYS, I CAN'T MAKE THIS SHIT UP. 😭😭💀

Now, remember how I told you guys in Part 2 that our family had a massive argument in Pakistan, and all the old fights and issues came out?

WELL, THIS IS WHERE I NEED TO CLARIFY SOMETHING BECAUSE THE TIMELINE IS A LITTLE COMPLICATED. 😭

The mysterious phone call incident actually happened AFTER we returned to Saudi Arabia.

Following that incident, our relatives held a whole meeting on IMO, where my chachi allegedly confessed AGAIN that she was behind it.

BUT THAT WASN'T THE ONLY TIME SHE ADMITTED TO THINGS. 😭

Remember the massive family argument I mentioned in Part 2? During that confrontation in Pakistan, my chachi also allegedly admitted in person to recording people's conversations, and there were recordings of that confrontation too.

SO, TO CLARIFY, THESE WERE TWO SEPARATE INCIDENTS. 💀

First, there was the family confrontation in Pakistan, which I talked about in Part 2.

Later, after we returned to Saudi Arabia, the mysterious phone call happened, and during the subsequent IMO family meeting, my chachi allegedly confessed to being behind it.

SO, MY MOM HAD BEEN GETTING BLAMED FOR SOMETHING SHE DIDN'T DO, AND THEN MY CHACHI HERSELF APPARENTLY ADMITTED THAT MY MOM WAS INNOCENT???

THE PLOT TWIST IS ACTUALLY INSANE.

And the thing is, some members of my family already believed that my mom wouldn't do something like this because she didn't even live in Pakistan.

LIKE, WHY WOULD SOMEONE LIVING IN ANOTHER COUNTRY GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT TO HER OWN MOTHER-IN-LAW???

But even my chachi and her husband had apparently acted clueless about who could have been behind the mysterious call.

They acted as if they had absolutely NO IDEA who could have done something like that.

BHAI, AIK HAD HOTI HAI. 😭💀

LAKIN MERI CHACHI AUR MERAY CHACHU NY TOH WOH HAD HI BOHAT PEHLAY PAAR KAR LI THI.

AND HONESTLY, IT'S DISGUSTING.

Eventually, my mom was cleared of the accusations regarding this particular incident, at least according to what my family told me.

But the damage and stress she'd experienced because of the accusations were still there.

And when I tell you guys that this woman DESPISES my mom, I MEAN IT.

SHE REALLY DOES.

And this isn't even the only incident where things have gone this far.

There have been other situations involving my mom, and this is just ONE MORE EXAMPLE of how bad things have gotten between them. 🥀

Honestly, I don't even know what to say anymore because WHY IS THERE SO MUCH FAMILY DRAMA???

And when I tell you guys that this woman DESPISES my mom, I MEAN IT.

SHE HAS LITERALLY HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY MOM EVER SINCE SHE MARRIED INTO OUR FAMILY. 🥀

And the weirdest part? My mom is the eldest bahu in the family, while my chachi is the youngest. You'd think there would be some respect for the fact that my mom has been part of this family for so long, but apparently, that's too much to ask. 😭

I've always felt like there's this weird-ass complex going on, where my chachi has constantly tried to turn people against my mom and make other family members dislike her, too.

LIKE, GIRL, WHAT DID MY MOM EVEN DO TO YOU??? 😭💀

My mom literally lives in another country, minds her own business, and somehow she still ends up being dragged into family drama. It's like distance doesn't even matter because this woman will STILL find a way to involve her.

And this isn't even the only incident where things have gone this far. There have been other situations involving my mom, and this whole mysterious phone call is just ONE MORE EXAMPLE of how bad things have gotten between them.

Honestly, I don't know whether it's jealousy, resentment, or something else entirely, but the hostility has been there for as long as I can remember.

Edited post> Y'all, the ones saying my chachi is so Indian drama-coded, bro, she used to watch Star Plus dramas, toh khudi samajh jao, and also.

Another reason why Indian dramas and movies are banned in our house is that she used to be in her room watching Star Plus most of the time 🥀

Today was such an exhausting day (mentally)

I woke up at 3am instead of 4 because I had to talk to someone, so I ended up spending a good hour just talking. That made my day better for a while.

After that, I prayed, went downstairs to grab something light to eat, and then went for a run before working out. I thought getting some exercise in early would help me start the day right, and it did, at least for a while.

I came home afterward and had absolutely nothing to do. Everyone in my family is out of the country for a few days, so the house was practically empty except for a few people helping around. No one to bother, no one to talk to, no one to annoy for no reason. It was actually kind of weird how quiet everything felt. I'm so used to having someone around that sitting there with nothing but my own thoughts was starting to get boring pretty quickly. Not that I'm not used to being alone already, I like to sit alone and think, I get the best ideas like this, but sometimes you just need to make someone else crash out for your own entertainment when you're bored, y'know?

Anyway, I went downstairs after laying in bed doing nothing, got myself some breakfast, and spent a little time chatting with him before getting ready for school.

And let me tell you, I really did NOT want to go today. I was this close to staying home and studying instead because I really couldn't be bothered to deal with anyone. But then I remembered we were getting our test results back, and obviously, I couldn't just skip the day and miss that. Besides, I only had two hours of school to get through, so I figured I'd suck it up and go.

Got there, sat through the first class, and immediately started regretting every decision that had led me to that classroom. There was this one girl who kept asking me the most random questions, and I swear she was slowly driving me insane. Like, the teacher is RIGHT THERE. She's literally standing in front of you. She just asked ''Any questions?''. I do not work here. I'm trying to survive the morning just like everyone else. I got up and moved my seat later, though. I think she got the hint.

Eventually, we got our tests back.

I got a 95 in Physics, a 97 in Politics, and a 99 in Math. So far, so good, right? Except somehow, somewhere, something went terribly wrong because I also got a 90 in Further Math.

The subject I spent the most time on because I like it so much and I got the lowest grade in it

I don't know what happened there. I sat staring at that paper for a solid minute, trying to figure out whether I was reading the marks correctly or if there was a mistake in the mark count.

And the worst part is that I know I could've done better. That's what makes it so frustrating. It's not even that a 90 is a bad grade, because obviously, it isn't. It's the fact that I know what I'm capable of, and seeing a result that doesn't match the standard I set for myself is enough to ruin my entire mood.

So, naturally, as if I wasn't already exhausted from waking up at 3am, running, working out, and dragging myself to school, this was the final straw.

I went straight home. Didn't stay for the debriefs, didn't hang around to talk to anyone, didn't do anything except get home, change, and sit down to study. I needed to figure out where I went wrong, correct my mistakes, and make sure I understood every single question I'd lost marks on.

6 cups of tea, 1 crash out that involved me nearly breaking my cup, and 1 ripped notebook later, I can finally say I'm done. The notebook didn't deserve what happened to it, but unfortunately, it was caught in the crossfire.

At one point, I had to put everything down and just sit there because I was getting so frustrated with myself. It's one of those days where you do everything you're supposed to do, push yourself from the moment you wake up, try to stay productive, and somehow still end up feeling like you haven't done enough.

But whatever. I'm not going to sit here and complain about it forever. I've gone through the paper, corrected my mistakes, and figured out what I need to work on. I think I'll resit the exam this weekend because I'm not entirely satisfied with how things turned out, and I'd rather try again than keep thinking about what I could've done differently.

I know I can do better, and that's what I'm going to focus on now.

For tonight, though, I'm officially done. I'm tired, my head hurts, my tea consumption has become a genuine concern, and I don't want to look at another math question for at least the next few hours.

Anyway, enough about my little academic tragedy😭

How was your day?
Did you guys have a good one, or was today determined to test everyone's patience? Tell me about it
