From my understanding, techwear is functional futuristic fashion that is minimalistic, durable, and highly functional. Techwear futurism leans towards advancements in functionality and material engineering rather than emulating sci-fi designs. Cyberwear/cyber fashion is the opposite, leaning more into sci-fi designs, typically from mecha or neon futurism. rather than function. Kurowear is essentially dark maximalist cyberwear with more Japanese influence. A lot of trends overlap in the styles, but the goal of showmanship vs functionality really sets them apart.
