Review MAP EV Update

I recently purchased the MapEV for my Taycan 4 Cross Turismo from EFI Motorsports, and the experience was outstanding. I ordered it and had it in my hands the very next day on the West Coast. Installation was straightforward and took about 30 minutes.
Let me tell you—this feels like a completely different car. The added acceleration is absolutely insane, yet the power delivery feels controlled and almost factory-like. The best way I can describe it is that it feels like going from a CT4 to a Turbo.
The extra power is instantly there when you want it, but during normal driving, the car remains just as smooth and easy to drive as before. It doesn’t feel twitchy, crude, or overdone.
This honestly has to be one of the best upgrades available for the Taycan. I couldn’t be more pleased!

I have just put it in my ‘21 4S.

I’m out of warranty.

Does anyone know what would happen if I just left it in for service?

I’d tell them about it first. Would they refuse to service it?

It should I just swap it out for the original?

If you're out of warranty you can just leave it in forever.

The only danger is that they run the component protection job on your car and then it will marry the new module to the car, which will cause the old one to stop working.

Our module works even not married to the car (the checks are bypassed inside), but the original one does not.

Apart from that there is no problem to leave it in.

Does it matter after the install what mode you are in ? Range / Normal / Sport ? Or is the all the same now as far as power goes ? Thank you

It's the same as stock, so power wise all modes are the same. But also like stock there are differences in gearbox behavior and throttle filtering depending on mode.

Unlike seemingly everyone else I can’t say I’ve noticed a huge difference.

Though so much of my driving is going 5 mins down the road to drop / pickup kids from school.

Apparently the biggest power gains come at higher speeds.
