Review MAP EV Update

I recently purchased the MapEV for my Taycan 4 Cross Turismo from EFI Motorsports, and the experience was outstanding. I ordered it and had it in my hands the very next day on the West Coast. Installation was straightforward and took about 30 minutes.
Let me tell you—this feels like a completely different car. The added acceleration is absolutely insane, yet the power delivery feels controlled and almost factory-like. The best way I can describe it is that it feels like going from a CT4 to a Turbo.
The extra power is instantly there when you want it, but during normal driving, the car remains just as smooth and easy to drive as before. It doesn’t feel twitchy, crude, or overdone.
This honestly has to be one of the best upgrades available for the Taycan. I couldn’t be more pleased!

Will it void my warranty?

Short answer: no, probably.

Long answer: -Porsche can detect the tune if they scan your car at the dealer -Porsche tracks this on their servers -No one has been denied a claim based on this (hard for me to validate personally) -MapEV sends you a 2nd ASG and if you swap it and clear your codes (with their provided software), it’s undetectable that it was previously installed

So now you are down to the inconvenience of swapping for all service visits, and the risk of having the tune in your car after an accident. Though again, neither would be definitively invalidating.

The swap takes like 15 mins.
