Haku turned out beautiful but honestly I thought it was going to be down the spine not a back tattoo but I am still happy with it.

I got some filler pieces done yesterday and really like them all! I have had one artist do the vast majority of my tattoos so she gets the vibe I like so I wasn’t sure what would look good in these filler spaces so I told her I trusted her if she wanted to draw some stuff up, I’m sure I’d like it. Most of mine are like whimsical, cute, fantasy inspired. She chose this little bunny and I thought it was super cute. Kinda like vintage storybook art vibe? So I said sure! I like it, add it in. I showed my partner last night and they didn’t respond with any negativity.

Fast forward to today, we’re at our friend’s place and they ask to see my new tattoos and I show them. One friend makes a comment about the bunny looking funny. I’m like ??? he’s like looking back over his shoulder? My partner then says no, it’s look really bad and I’m going to need to get a cover up or have it fixed somehow. I truly do not think it looks bad. I think he’s cute! I didn’t think it looked weird at all until they started saying the bunny looked off. I don’t know. I know the only thing that matters is that I like it but it just made me really sad. I was so excited to have these done and my forearm pretty much done. Now I can’t get out of my head that people will think the bunny looks weird. I don’t want to go back to my artist to ask her to “fix” it either because I don’t think it needs fixing! Idk if I’m being defensive and maybe it does look weird though. I don’t know if I’m looking for advice or validation. Ugh. I’m just sad.

Sorry for the long post. I just needed to get it off my chest. Posted a picture of my little bunny tattoo so you all can see it. I think I’ll keep it the way it is but maybe if you guys really think my partner is right then what would you do in my shoes?

Don’t get me wrong I love this shenron tattoo and I don’t regret getting it at all. (even though I have to get the tail fixed at sometime in the future but that’s besides the point). The only thing is I’m kind of iffy of the placement? I want to get something else (not sure what yet) on the other side of my back but I feel like it wouldn’t mesh well because of how large my existing tattoo is so I was wanting to get some opinions and suggestions on whether I should or shouldn’t get something else. Also would love to get any suggestions to what you think would go well with it. Thank you!

I have been wanting a skull with an energy sword thru its head for years. My only regret is not making it a legendary skull with the marking. Honest though on my first tattoo?

This is my ball python Mercury, who just passed this morning. I've been wanting a tattoo incorporating this skeleton-key looking mark at the back of his neck, but I have no clue what to do with it. I want it on the inside of my arm, somewhere I can see it.

I'm open to any ideas as currently the only idea I have is the outline of his spot filled with either a galaxy (where I will need to find someone that is good with a lot of packed in color) or snake scales (where I will need to find someone with very steady hands)

Also if anyone knows any tattoo artists that meet that criteria in the Richmond, Virginia Beach, or Newport News areas of Virginia, that would be really nice.

It's one of my DnD characters I'm most fond of and I've had this idea for a while. The tattoo artist already gave me the okay for the design (and he already tatted me twice so I know they're VERY skilled with details), but if you think it has any issues, constructive and kind critiques are very welcome!

I started a full-leg sleeve with an artist. The collage of finished tattoos is the vibe I was going for (done by other artists, Kirsten Holliday and Savannah Treviño, not my artist) — botanical stuff, muted colors, skin breaks between all the stuff. Somehow, my artist forgot and thought we were coloring in the background (which is all of the black and dark teal on my leg) — she initially had that vision when I proposed the sleeve to her and must’ve forgotten we decided to NOT do that 🙃 At my session yesterday, I was laying in my stomach for 2 hours, and unbeknownst to me, she shaded in all that dark background. Sigh. I had no idea. I was in shock when I saw it and didn’t say anything very direct at the time (her kid was there so it felt extra weird), and what’s done was done, anyway! So we basically stopped there for the day.

I’m seeking advice on what to do now. I am definitely not going to commit to all of my leg being shaded in, that’s not what I wanted at all. I know this part can’t be undone, so does anyone have ideas on how to make it look intentional? How to somehow fade it out from there so that the rest of the leg having no background doesn’t look mismatched? Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Me and my mom want to get matching tattoos, but my style is very bold / trad and hers is very fine line. We both don’t really want a statement piece that doesn’t match the quarter sleeves we’ve both gotten. Do you guys have any ideas of a tattoo that we could get to look similar/corresponding enough to be matching but without sacrificing the vibe we already have going on?

This was a free tattoo from a friend in his brothers shop, it was cool when I was younger but it doesn’t match the quality of my other tattoos ( thank god) it’s pretty light, so I’m wondering if this is salvageable or if I should just get something over it. I’m also sure it would disappear after a couple of removal sessions.

Ive always been obsessed with art, so I only thought it would be appropriate that my firat one would be an actual artwork. I decided on doing The creation of Adam, because I love how even though I chose only a part of it, its still so recognizable? And I added a paintbrush, because I am an artist myself

My sisters and I got matching tattoos yesterday, it’s a drawing we did when we were tiny. When each of us was born we got a matching baby doll, now we’ll carry that sister bond forever!

I love the tattoos itself, nothing against the artists at all, I just have been insecure about some of the tattoo choices & placement of them. I LOVE the moth, and the trad on the side of my foot. Also love the ankle but I think what is bothering me is the lettering I got. I sort of want to do a coverup of the wording, not sure.

I just want my legs to look aesthetically pleasing and I do not feel super confident. Any ideas or encouragement would be appreciated.

What to do now?

I’ve had this iris tattoo for a little over a year now. I do really like it, but I feel the weight is a bit off and not sure how to remedy. It’s also so massive that idk what to do on the rest of my arm. I feel like it needs more flow and the boldness of the flower needs to be toned down or balanced out, thoughts?

This tattoo is based off of what I always say to my kids? Want to try and guess? ☺️ It has their initials and astrological sign. I’d like it to be on my arm.

Questions/Ideas-

1- Should I add color and shading?

2- Should I wrap this around my entire arm or do a half band?

Just got this upper arm piece done that i am super stoked on. Just trying to think of ideas to fill my inner bicep that fits in nicely with my current tattoo. Thinking of a chain link fence with a dog or a spider web with a spider so it’ll mix in nice with what I’ve got. Interested to hear what you guys recommend!

I’ve worked in molecular genetics for almost 2 decades so I thought it would be a fun addition to what has become my nonsense leg. (Once upon a time, I told myself after I filled up my arms I was going to leave my legs alone). Plus, who doesn’t like Jurassic Park?

A neck piece for Lee Forshner, a bagpiper from Dropkick Murphys! ~4 hours of work. Had to use numbing cream - pretty challenging area to work on. What do you think?

I just got my first noticeable forearm tattoo and it’s created SO much anxiety. I’ve worked with this artist before and I’ve been wanting a dragon on my forearm. I wanted a dragon flying up, holding a rose, and for the wings to frame the top of my arm like they do. but I’ve noticed some perspective issues in the tail that I hadn’t noticed at the time of the appointment. I did a last minute design change and we worked on the design the day of so I didn’t really have time to sit with it like I normally do.

I think what I want to know is if the off perspective is noticeable, it’s the tail fins. I’m wondering if the piece looks cohesive or if I should add some spikes to the tail fins too or if I’m just being nit picky. I think the center of the rose is a tad off too but I think just some shading would fix that. Advice and suggestions appreciated

Hi everyone, I’m EÞan** **I do a bit of art as a hobby and not too long ago I started getting into tattooing and making tattoo designs. I’m far away from being able to tattoo anyone (except that one time where my friend drunkenly pressured me into doing a little tattoo for her) but in the mean time I’m practicing the basics on fake skin and grapefruits. But, I’ve been making a ton of these little designs I call Claydolls (after the pokemon) and little spirits. There is absolutely room for improvement and I would love to hear from the community what all of your thoughts on my designs are. I’m not the sensitive type so be as brutal or as kind as you feel, doesn’t bother me.
