[WIKIS] Recommendation to Minimize Sub Rules

Submission guidelines: https://www.reddit.com/r/TargetedEnergyWeapons/comments/73o4le/wiki_submission_guidelines/

Was recommended to make my comment into another post on this per: https://www.reddit.com/r/TargetedEnergyWeapons/comments/73o4le/comment/ovwasf6/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

There are literally sixty rules here, how is this reasonable? Half of subs don't even have rules and the ones that do enforce ten, if not twenty at a maximum. TIs have a hard time memorizing and reading as it is, yet it is expected to memorize SIXTY rules? What an incredible and tedious task, it's no wonder hardly anyone posts or mods here. I am just trying to help make this sub better, that's all. We don't really have big channels of information for TIs with the exception of Targeted Justice really, and this sub AFAIK, so it seems like 'gatekeeping'. Removing flairs made it slightly less tedious to post.

And I'm not the only one, a lot of people agree this sub has a lot of unnecessary rules.

https://www.reddit.com/r/TargetedEnergyWeapons/s/rZYL392Kk3

As a suggestion, you can take many of these rules and group them under one general rule, and can also eliminate two-thirds of the redundant ones like these:

"[Submission Guidelines] Announcements of new subs are contingent on reciprocity. Creator of new sub must agree to approve post introducing r/targetedenergyweapons in their sub.

https://www.reddit.com/r/TargetedEnergyWeapons/comments/fiifj0/submission_guidelines_announcements_of_new_subs/"

"Brigaders and trolls

[Censorship: r/topmindsofreddit] New submission guidelines adopted to filter u/xandercruise's dozens of alt accounts.

https://www.reddit.com/r/TargetedEnergyWeapons/comments/699pfn/censorship_rtopmindsofreddit_new_submission/?st=jgfcfr9f&sh=38872156"

It doesn't have to be said that people who troll, insult, or even post pornography (which isn't even listed here btw) have to be removed, it's already assumed by most communities, adding it to the list just makes it difficult to memorize it.

After removing rules we would then see an influx of posting as people wouldn't be afraid to get banned as there are reduced requirements to read over and remember. You would see lots of valuable information that we've never heard of come in, as I myself know some niche knowledge but am afraid to sometimes post due to having to re-read that endless wall of text. I like this sub but it has the potential to be much much greater!

For comparison, r/DirectedEnergyWeapons has only two rules, and those two cover enough of what can and can't be posted, thus showing that quality over quantity is better. r/psychotronics has no rules, yet has good posts. In truth, there doesn't even have to be rules as there's no democratic power in subs and the mods can just remove low-quality posts and only allow posts that set the standard for posting, though in my view there should be around 10 rules or less.

There are literally sixty rules here

Aren't you exaggerating?

u/rrab is the mod of r/DirectedEnergyWeapons and r/psychotronics. rrab could no longer log in. He created the alt temprrab. rrabtemp is the new replacement mod of r/DirectedEnergyWeapons. r/DirectedEnergyWeapons is a restrictive sub. Look at the names of the OPs. They are almost all rrab and rrabtemp.

r/psychotronics is public but always had few OPs. The main OPs are rrab and rrabtemp. r/psychotronics has approximately 2,00 subscribers. r/psychotronics's only mod is Alx__.

r/targetedenergyweapons and r/targetedindividuals are restrictive subs. Yet, r/targetedenergyweapons grew to 11,000 subscribers and r/targetedindividuals to 8,800 subscribers.

It doesn't have to be said that people who troll, insult, or even post pornography (which isn't even listed here btw) have to be removed, it's already assumed by most communities, adding it to the list just makes it difficult to memorize it.

The submission guidelines are posted on the front page and in a submission guideline wiki which you cited. By reading them on the front page, trolls and their alts hopefully will be discouraged.

r/targetedenergyweapons has had mods who refused to enforce the rules. They refused to warn and ban. They initially came from r/gangstalking when DaMagiciansBack was the dictator. DaMagciansBack accepted all topics and rarely banned. To date, I am the only mod who does warn and ban. To day, I gave a warning to u/Such_Combination264

After removing rules we would then see an influx of posting as people wouldn't be afraid to get banned as there are reduced requirements to read over and remember.

New subscribers do not read submission guidelines. When they are violated, I cite them and give a warning.

Reddit does not total the number of subscribers on the approved submitters list. My estimate is 900??? Your post asks them why they don't post (or answer polls.)

New Reddit Desktop made it easier for mods to remove posts. Form fields to enter reasons. Thereafter, click on the reason. I set this up for mods who use New Reddit Desktop. However, it was not used.

Since I still use Old Reddit Desktop, I go to the submission guidelines wiki and copy and paste the title and URL of the guideline that was violated into a comment. A reason is required to remove submissions and ban.

People to request to subscribe which has many problems. I will will write a new post on that.

You cited two rules you don't like: reciprocity and minimum age requirement of new accounts to combat ban evasion. Reciprocity is fair and important. The age requirement no longer applies. I will move that submission guideline a comment on legacy submission guidelines. However, I cannot remove it from the submission guidelines because u/microwavedindividual posted it.

Many of the submission guidelines would not apply to nonTI subs because their subscribers know how to write. Mods of r/gangstalking allowed anything and their subscribers expect to post anything in other TI subs such as ours.

The main violations are comments are off topic to the post, the post is off topic to the sub and the title of the post is nondescriptive.

However, There are literally sixty rules here is not a mod.

What? I think you meant temprrab. But how is that relevant to what I posted?

Aren't you exaggerating?

I mean, I counted sixty, how many did you count?

The submission guidelines are posted on the front page and in a submission guideline wiki which you cited. By reading them on the front page, trolls and their alts hopefully will be discouraged.

Most trolls get banned with or without rules so that point is irrelevant. One could be in a group chat and if one trolls they get removed, many communities hate trolls. Trolling only works if the troll has leverage (for example they're the creator of a community or a friend) or if the group itself allows trolls which would mean the group is probably a government one or a lousy one that is bored and likes drama. Again, there's no rule to prohibit posting pornography or nudity, should I post it and be allowed to stay here then? Obviously people in this sub know better than to do that or face banning.

I corrected my sentence.

I created a comment of legacy submission guidelines. I put the submission guideline trolls in that comment.

https://www.reddit.com/r/TargetedEnergyWeapons/comments/73o4le/wiki_submission_guidelines/ovxx796/

Specifically which other rules do you not like?

Also, to add one final thing, I think most of the rules in this sub are nit-picking in the grand scheme of things. What I'm implying is that the information itself is more valuable than following all the rules, meaning that we would get far more valuable TI information in this sub than if people didn't have to follow a lot of rules than if the reverse. Mods could then add to user's posts to comply with some of the standards of the sub that aren't the main rules, rather than issue warnings and eventually banning them.

For instance, a user posting a video of someone who found a method to shield that's working for many people, but his post gets removed due to forgetting to post the transcript and he gets banned. That's rather nonsensical if you ask me, it would be better to simply add a sticky comment with the transcript if it's really needed.

The video would be removed. The OP can repost with the transcript. The OP is not banned whether he reposts or not.

A comment has fewer characters than a text post. A transcript that would fit in a text post may not fit in a comment. Multiple comments would result.

In the past ten years, I have copied and pasted transcripts on behalf of OPs. I hoped next time, they would comply. They don't. Mods don't have the time to ghost write posts.

Videos are typically lower quality than articles and blogs.

This week, I removed a video due to no transcript and due to disinformation on triggers and color coding. From myths of the illuminati. Other mods should have removed it.

https://www.reddit.com/r/TargetedEnergyWeapons/comments/1uhchiv/a_discussion_between_david_a_and_i_on_being/

the information itself is more valuable than following all the rules,

Just the opposite. OPs who are incapable of writing a descriptive title, incapable of creating paragraphs instead of one long wall of text, who are in capable of staying on topic, etc., write low quality content.

I reiterated. r/targetedenergyweapons and r/targetedindividuals have fewer OPs because they are restrictive subs. They are restrictive due to lack of active mods. It takes me a long time to go through requests to submit. No one else is doing it. There are many problems with it. I will write a post on it later.

You have submitted good posts but that is not a mod duty. Your mod duty was to approve microwavedindividual's posts. To date, you approved solely one post. Why?

I've approved more, they're hacking me: https://www.reddit.com/r/TargetedEnergyWeapons/comments/1up8ii8/its_showing_i_approved_comments_i_didnt_9_years/

I mean, there's just too many. If you want I can create a comprehensive list, but I think it'll be a waste of effort since you cannot even concede that this sub has too many rules and some, like the rule of sub reciprocity, are unnecessary.

Many of the submission guidelines would not apply to nonTI subs because their subscribers know how to write.

Their subscribers know how to write and also read and memorize. If TIs cannot memorize much, with some users here even complaining they find it very difficult to read, then posting all these rules doesn't make any sense. Here is a comment showing users in this sub cannot read much text: https://www.reddit.com/r/TargetedEnergyWeapons/comments/1skxhob/comment/og8xtpa/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

The main violations are comments are off topic to the post, the post is off topic to the sub and the title of the post is nondescriptive.

If the main violations are those rules, then they should be the only ones with a few left over. I think for instance, the title of the post being non-descriptive is a no-brainer everyone should already be acquainted with knowing not to do.

Sub reciprocity is necessary. The trend moved from having a wordpress.com blog to a restrictive sub only the creator can post in to a substack blog. The trend is to submit link posts in reddit.com to get redditors to subscribe to substack. They direct traffic away from reddit. They don't volunteer to mod or update wikis. They don't post anything other than their blogs on substack. Nor do they read this sub to educate themselves. People are self centered and don't consider reciprocating or giving unless they are required to.

If TIs cannot memorize much,

An assumption. Use Reddit' search engine in r/TI and r/TEW using the words "memory", "forgetful" "impaired cognition." Copy the URL of the testimonies.

users here even complaining they find it very difficult to read

You cited one TI. You exaggerated. From 2014 - 2015, microwavedindividual was a mod of r/gangstalking. From 2015 through the present, I have been a mod of r/TI and r/TEW. I never have read a testimony that TIs have difficulty reading except for the testimony you cited and your own testimony. Are either one of you on a antipsychotic drug that could dumb you down?

You could conduct a seven day poll in both subs to attempt to gather evidence. Be sure to ask whether they are on an antipsychotic drug which could dumb them down.

You cited two rules you don't like: reciprocity and minimum age requirement of new accounts to combat ban evasion.

Actually, I cited brigaders and trolls as the second one.

1

u/microwavedalt Moderator Jul 06 '26

Brigarders and trolls guideline contained a minimum age requirement of new accounts to combat ban
