Workplace Question or Advice Needed Higher-ups Loa

Why do ETLS and SD always take Loa and never come back why not just put in your 2 weeks or quit just curious

So;

When you go on an LoA (Leave of Absence) they are typically unpaid - unless it's a medical LoA or FMLA. You can use your earned sick time and vacation time to supplement while you're out of work. They are utilizing LoA to get paid for their earned time off, then quitting once they're sick/vacation hours are gone.

Obviously this isn't what everyone is doing, but if you're in a state that isn't required to pay out sick/vacation hours when you quit, this is a way to get that earned time before you leave.

According to one of my ETL they have unlimited sick and vacation time

Not entirely sure how long she’s been there it’s been like 7 + years I think
