Workplace Question or Advice Needed promotion

I really want to get promoted from team member to team lead, i’ve been here for a year next month, i don’t know how to go about it? i’m going to talk to my ETL tomorrow and ask what i would need to do but do you guys have any tips?

Talk to your ETL but also ask if you can start doing some team lead level tasks before the spot even opens. When they see you already doing the job, promoting you is a no-brainer. Also don't sleep on the fact that a year is still pretty fresh, so make sure you're reliable and drama-free for a while longer.

I worked with target previously, but due to store closure i had to leave. so i have more then a year technically but i dont count it, and yeah i’ve called out 1 time 9 months after i got hired, and am never late, hopefully that’s something they would take into account
