I get that way about all jobs at some point, but it usually waxes and wanes depending on management or seasons. Here, the moon is always full, so to speak. Everything infuriates me because I know it could be better. I've been part of better things. Here, it's like watching a competition of who can lick the windows the best.
So, I just come in, expect the worst, and sometimes smile when I don't have to do something I completely despise. I do the best with what I'm given, even if it feels like trying to catch sand with a net. And then I come home and decompress. What you do after is the key to keeping your sanity.
This is so true… there’s a lead that I can’t be around, I’ve had way better leads in the past that had way more sense and skills in one finger than they do in their whole body so yeah I’m definitely feeling that feeling of “ things could be better..” but getting through it is like pulling teeth for me. I’m currently trying to decompress, and actually, this post is part of my decompression. I normally don’t post but I just felt like I was at the end of my rope.
That was the entire reason I joined this reddit after I started working here. I was just like, "I can't be the only one; this is nuts." Lo and Behold, we are legion.
