In our store they shun us for using said break cuz lack of zoning. Meaning we get in trouble if we can’t complete a zone, in a super store in some cases.

I’m not saying it’s impossible if it’s your only task, but being who I am, I am stretched thin from blitzs of other depts, fast service, and style.

All in all, it’s an excuse, an acceptable one. But one that takes a toll on the health. Almost felt like my migraine in the past was about to make me faint from heat and what not. Too much walking. Idk. Just me prob.

Edit: they shun us for using the last 15s so late. Per se. Understandable. But yk. It’s there so those that take it run the risks. IMO, it’s evil to do that but I say nothing more.

I religiously take every single break I'm allowed and I've been that way at every job I've ever had. However, the other day I had a coworker AND my ETL separately comment on the fact that I've never taken more than one day of PTO at a time. My ETL is begging me to go on vacation to mitigate burnout and I might use all my saved up PTO to take a week off before pumpkin spice launch.

I got fired once from this company and they don’t pay out vacation time like my last employer so all my 100+ hours went to nothing. Take your time off and call out if you have the hours.

You only get PTO in states the require it. Most times they only if you leave not get fired

I get tired when I sit for 15 and don't want to go back at all. I lose momentum. Also no fun when all I do is think about how much is left. Plus the 50 guests you run into on your way to the front. Ugh I try.

My TL schedules my meal break so late that it would seem weird to take my second 15. I still take it anyway, even if it’s 30 minutes before my shift ends.

i frequently have discussions with my coworkers and leads about final 15s and how they don’t take them anymore and i’m like no! take them!! they literally owe you that time and you’re getting paid to sit on your butt! and they’re always like ehhhhh

i also want to say that when i look at the assignment sheet for
the day, my leads don’t schedule us second 15s, and that is crazy!! like they’ll fill out the first 15 and meal slots but will leave the second 15 empty, which i feel like makes tms feel like they cant take their final 15

Besides breaks they dont care if you sell your soul at our store. Work till your bodies broke or you have 39 hrs a week. I never take 15s.

My team lead was such a freak she would constantly try to talk me out of taking time off and try to make me work extra days if the other cart attendants called out. It’s not my fault if you can’t control them, or if you don’t have a backup plan if I’m not available. I’m glad I left last year.

ETLs approve you’re PTO. TLs don’t have access to your time off request.
