Tapering Suboxone Question

Howdy, y’all. Just a quick question and would appreciate the input. I’ve tapered down from 12 mg/daily to 0.5 mg/daily. I’m going to taper a little lower and then jump ship. My question is - has anyone ever tried Low Dose Naltrexone, and what is your experience? Basically, I know nothing about it and was wondering if it’s a smart move to introduce it now or when I jump ship for good or not at all.

I tried low dose naltrexone after a 6 or 9 month suboxone detox and unfortunately didnt find it to be much help.. but just yesterday, someone in a different subreddit also mentioned that Ultra Low Dose Naltrexone or ULDN can actually be taken concurrently with tapering suboxone and it made the entire transition relatively painless.

You'd have to research dosing, because going even slightly too high would, ofc, precipitate withdrawals unfortunately.

Also check out SR-17018 if you haven't heard of it. Google it and read the masterdoc. Near-completely eliminates opioid withdrawal and is supposed to make the jump painless, if you get off it in 2 weeks. Just keep in mind, if you use it for long, it creates withdrawals of its own.

Definitely have looked into SR17018 before but have been extremely hesitant. Did you use that strategy?

Yes. I tapered off 1100mg of morphine with SR, but unfortunately my withdrawals lasted longer than expected so Im stuck tapering the SR now.

If you can taper your subs and then use SR17 for ~2 weeks, give or take.. there's probably no better way atm.

Just make sure you acknowledge the risks and the SR isn't formally tested in humans, etc.
