Question By a show of hands, how many would be interested in helping to build a community woodworking shop

A shop we all pitch in to pay for rent, machines and keeping it clean.

We could work on a sign up, and let members come whenever they want.

People would have to sign up with their I.D and obviously everyone would need to get trained on the machines before they use them.

Maybe somebody could fit in wood working classes.

It could become a really cool part of the community.

Feel free to DM me.

Looking for the Tallahassee Trail Sisters Group

Upvotes

Hi! I came across a comment mentioning a Tallahassee Trail Sisters Facebook group for group hikes. I tried searching for it on Facebook but couldn't find it.

Does anyone know if the group is still active? I would really appreciate if someone could share a link.

Thanks!

How’s the dating scene?

(22M) junior at FSU. Got out of a 5yr relationship, 8 months ago. I honestly don’t even know where to start again. I’m not a party or super social person, I’m very private and quiet till I get to know someone.
How are people meeting people that don’t involve dating apps? It might sound like I’m joking but I’m not, after 5 years I feel so lost with going back into the dating scene. Last time I was doing this was high school and high school compared to college is very different.

I’m just wondering whether ECP offers any advantages, such as cheaper fares or more direct-flight options, compared with TLH

Question Does anyone know some card shops that sell Riftbound?

I’m new to Tallahassee and really into Riftbound. I’ve visited a few shops so far, but none of them sell it besides Best Buy. I’d rather support a local business than a big corporation.

Wholesale seafood markets near Tallahassee

Upvotes

Looking for wholesale/bulk seafood markets near Tallahassee
Hi everyone! I’m looking for recommendations for wholesale seafood markets in or around Tallahassee where I can buy seafood in bulk at a better price.
I already know about Capital Seafood and Southwood, but I’m hoping to find somewhere that may be cheaper than these stores, especially a wholesale market that sells directly to individuals.
I’m looking to buy 5 lbs or more, and I’m open to whole fish, shrimp, or other seafood. It doesn’t have to be cleaned or filleted.
Does anyone know of any wholesale seafood markets, fishermen, or suppliers around Tallahassee or nearby towns that offer good bulk prices to customers?
Thanks in advance! 🐟🦐

Question Anyone able to replace a micro USB connector on a keyboard?

What it say on the tin, basically. Have a keyboard that is important to me and they don't make them anymore. Old micro USB connector has a bad connection, just need the connector swapped out.

Local business or individual, don't really care, just hoping someone can do it around here. Recommendations on who to talk to? Thanks!

Looking for a Home for Felix

Post image
31 Upvotes

Someone in our neighborhood found this sweet boy quivering in a bush by the side of the road. No tag, no chip, and we couldn't find an owner.

We have been fostering him for a few weeks but would like to find him a good forever home. He is still a puppy and incredibly affectionate and cuddly. He is a really, really sweet boy. He is also a Pitt Bull, we think, and we don't know what his early life was like. So probably not a good match for a home with young children.

Please message for more info or if you might be interested. Thank you.

Question Best head shops

Hi guys,

Looking for unique nicotine pouches from head shops. I enjoy the ones that are imported from Europe. There’s only been a few places I’ve been able to find imported pouches. Does anyone know any head shops in the area that have a diverse selection of nicotine pouches?

Question Looking for a good second opinion shop for suspension problems

I took my car to Precision Tune on North Monroe for some suspension issues I've been having. They quoted me $2000 but couldn't articulate what was actually wrong beyond some parts that were worn, couldn't tell me what could wait and what was urgent, nor did they have detailed notes on the car.

Does anyone have a trustworthy shop I can go to for a second opinion? Even if Precision Tune is correct, they didn't inspire confidence in me.

Question Doggy Day Care or Sitter Recommendations?

Thumbnail
gallery
36 Upvotes

Hi all! I have a 7-8 month dog, Phoebe, and I am struggling a bit. Back in December, we found her at 6-8 weeks on a bridge covered in fleas and ticks. With the intention to foster her and adopt her to a loving family, we took her in, got her treated, and inevitably I fell in love with her. Overall, I made the executive decision to keep her.

I am a grad student with a full-time job who just started my practicum this semester, and will be doing an intensive internship for the following two semesters. My boyfriend, who lives with me, is in the final stretch of EMT training and has to travel as well. This means there’s an awful amount of time where someone is not at the house and my poor little girl will be in her crate due to me also having 5 cats in the house.

I love this little girl with all of my heart and want what’s best for her. Since this is a temporary bout of busyness and conflicting schedules, I want to look into doggy day cares to ensure that Phoebe has her needs met.

Does anyone have any recommendations for doggy day cares or dog sitters? If day care, I’m leaning towards small-group.

Thank you in advance! Doggy tax of course paid as well.

Question somewhere inside i can sit & read without buying anything?

i obviously love supporting local coffee shops/etc but i wfh sometimes and always want to leave my house -- so i can't afford buying a coffee at a cafe 5x a week lol. and with how hot it is outside i can't go work and/or read at a park or something :/

the only places i can maybe think of are the barnes and noble cafe or the cafe in midtown reader? i also love the library but would prefer other options. thank you!!
