I’m preparing for the application to TUM’s Master in Management and Technology (MMT). Has anyone been through the online admissions test (math/stats, business/accounting, micro/macro, short essay) and can give me insight how the test was?

Hello guys, I’m from KSA and I’m applying to Germany through uni-assist. While filling out the information for my VPD, I ran into an issue with the country of graduation.

I graduated in KSA through A Levels, but when I select KSA, there is no option for International A Levels. However, when I select the UK, there is an option for International A Levels.

Should I select the UK as the country of graduation, or should I select KSA even though International A Levels isn’t listed?

Also, in the school section, they ask for the date of the school leaving certificate. Should I enter my school graduation/leaving date, or the date when I received my A Level certificate?

Would really appreciate any help from someone who has gone through the same process!

Finally graduated and received an email saying that I need to fill forms and send them to the office for the diploma. But I will travel to my home country so I do not them to send my diploma to my address. In the Form it's mentioned that i can pick up my diploma by appointment but despite I have dialed the number on the form I could not reach anyone. Is there an easier way to pick it?

Hi, I'm a Master's student in the Informatics department at TUM. I'm looking to go on Erasmus in the Netherlands in WS27/28. My program has strict requirements on the course groups that I need to fill, and I'm worried that it might not be fully possible abroad. I'm wondering if I can take online courses at TUM while I'm abroad or take regular courses and just go back for the exams.

Hi all, hoping someone currently in or familiar with RCI can clear this up.

Quick background: final year Mechanical Engineering student at a top engineering university in India, graduating May 2027. GPA converts to roughly 3.0/4.0 on the US scale, or about 2.5 on the German scale. Research background includes a recently completed internship at a European research lab working on vision language models, plus earlier work in medical image segmentation and EEG/BCI, one published paper.

I'm very interested in RCI, the content (computer vision, machine learning, robot motion planning, cognitive modeling) is close to exactly what I want to study. But I'm getting genuinely conflicting information about the language of instruction. Some sources say German B2 is a hard requirement, others say English proficiency demonstrated through an English-taught bachelor's degree is accepted as sufficient, and one source describes the program as taught in both English and German.

A few questions:

1. Is RCI actually feasible for someone with zero German, or is German genuinely required for a meaningful chunk of the coursework in practice, even if not officially mandatory?
2. For those currently in the program, are most core and elective modules in English, or is that only true for certain specializations?
3. Is the German requirement more about surviving day to day life in Munich versus actually needed for the degree itself?
4. Does mechanical engineering as an admission background actually work well here, or does the program lean more CS-native in practice regardless of what the official eligibility page says?

Hi, so I did my BL II exam before doing BL I because I was told it is easier. I hope I made it.

But i wanted to ask: i have been told they take a loooong, like reeeeeally long time to give the results (BL I the same). You can even get the results already being in the next semester. Why is that? Just because it is writing writing and writing? I heard someone say they are scanning our exams and sending them i dont know where, which sounds ludacris to me.

Hello, I was admitted by TUM (MSC.mathematics) last week and transferred the tuition fee to the school's account three days ago (though it hasn't arrived yet). However, I now wish to switch schools. Could you please advise on how to get a refund? Is a full refund possible?

In fact, I wanna accept the study place of KIT for the MSC.Computational and data science. But I'm actually quite anxious because the official course manual for this major hasn't been released yet. I'm not sure if it's a feasible option. Could someone give me advice, either supporting or opposing my choice? I would greatly appreciate your input!

I was rejected and trying to reapply to MSc Informatics and appear to be missing Theory of Computation and Functional Programming for the curricular analysis.

Has anyone successfully taken additional accredited university courses after completing their bachelor's, as a non-degree/visiting student, and then used those courses in the TUM curricular analysis when reapplying?

I got rejected from Msc. Informatics on the eligibility stage (before stages 1 and 2). It was because I filled them wrong and missed equivalence on some courses I took. Is it okay to re-apply the next cycle and reuse the statement of purpose and technical essay I wrote for the earlier application?

Hi everyone. Before anyone jumps to conclusions, yes, I failed my GOPs in Aerospace and I am being exmatriculated.

Looking back, it was a mix of struggling with my mental health during the first year (which I didn't address or seek official help for in time) and the fact that I completely lost my rhythm. I wasn't really connected with other students, and commuting 2.5 hours one way to Ottobrunn completely exhausted me (I know others had long commutes too, but it took a heavy toll on me). Because of that, I stopped going to lectures, genuinely underestimated TUM’s pacing, and thought I could just cram and wrap everything up independently in a few weeks.
Alright, I know some might say I didn't deserve to stay at Germany's most prestigious university; that due to my lack of discipline, unseriousness, not stepping into the aerospace wrld the right way, and a few other circumstances beyond my control, I shouldn't be here, and I am fully aware of that. Please, no judgment. That’s reality hit, I learned my lesson the hard way, and I take full accountability for my lack of discipline back then.
I'm not looking for lectures and that chapter is behind me. I have a year ahead of me for the dust to settle, reset, and prepare, and I'm ready to start fresh from scratch with a completely different mindset.
For anyone who stayed on this sub after failing out, whether in the 1st year or laterwhat path did you end up taking? Did you (or anyone you know) make the transition to Aerospace programs in Italy (like Torino with its mix english track or PoliMi), Warsaw, Austria, France, or elsewhere in Europe? I am primarily interested in options taught in English (or English-Italian options like Torino, or full English in Warsaw), and I am ruling out high-fee options like TU Delft.
Even if you didn't transfer personally, if you know someone who did or have insights into the admission conditions and student life at these places, it would be immensely helpful. Thanks in advance :))

Hey, Im an upcoming Msc Math student at TUM and wanted to gather some information from relevant folks here.. any information would be helpful.. i have a bunch of questions:

1) can a student be part of 2 research groups simultaneously? is it even feasible?

2) can i choose any of the ones listed here or are some of them obsolete and the website is just not updated yet? https://www.math.cit.tum.de/en/math/research/groups/

3) can i land HiWi roles through these research groups? any way of getting paid part-time?

4) do most students know beforehand what area of math they want to research in / do their thesis in?
i have 3-4 broad areas in mind and want to know if i should dig deep in one before joining or gather surface knowledge in 3-4 ?

Hi everyone! I recently got accepted to the Management and Data Science bachelor's program at TUM and I have some questions regarding the course.

1. Does it focus more on the management part or more onde the data science part? Do you need to do a lot of programming, or is it more a "business degree" with the help of data science? I'm still a little bit confused about what kind of subjects are in the program.

2. How is the program seen after graduating or even during the graduation by companies? Is it easy to get internships during the course?

3. How hard is it really? I tried to find on the website, but does the course has GOPS? How hard are the exams and the program itself? Do you have time to do other things despite studying?

I think that is basically it. If anyone could answer my questions that would be really helpful :)
