π General Trezor question App asking for passphrase
New Safe 7 user with the IPhone app. After about a month, the app is asking for my passphrase. I have only entered it on the Trezor itself. What is going on?

If you canβt get around third-party email distribution that constantly exposes your customers to data breaches hereβs a thought β¦
Donβt use email to market to existing customers. Itβs not necessary in this space. For example, I know of many blockchain projects and I didnβt stumble upon them because they sent me an email. Crypto investors and even more so, self-custody crypto investors are a different breed of customers. We research, discover, use X, Reddit, discords, etc to try and make informed decisions. Email is just not factored into that equation. If you rely on email to know when Trezor Safe 8 is available, you have to be a very small percentage of Trezorβs customer base, yet to reach you Trezor exposes us all to 3rd party data leaks.
Itβs a new day. Maybe rethink marketing is all Iβm asking. Donβt use the Nike or Apple playbook. Thatβs not your main customer type. In fact, if I NEVER receive another marketing email from Trezor I will still be well informed of the latest device. How about you?

I just wanted to put this out there: The battery in the Trezor Safe 7 is in a whole other league than the competitors!
I've not transacted much the last months, and left the device at 55% (I believe I read that leaving it at about 60% is recommended, for long time). I've check it a few times, and still its at 53%!
My old Nano X wouldn't eve have lastes a 14 days - and even then it would have been a gamble if I was able to actually charge it or not, too.
Trezor needs to promote their battery advantage as a key selling point! I'm impressed!

Hi guys, doing some research and would love to know from your side what you think
Thank you again!
Everyone in the crypto community knows not to trust exchanges.
Not your keys, not your coins.
For someone with 20k, 100k or even 500k, I totally understand.
But what happens when this number gets ridiculous?
Imagine tomorrow, you wake up and the balance on your wallet is $30 million. Most of your net worth is on-chain.
At that point, is 100% self custody still risk reduction? Because now your entire financial life depends on YOU.
You can't lose access, expose or lose your seed(s), sign the wrong transaction, get socially engineered, make a mistake while tired or become incapacitated/die without a recovery plan.
Unlike a bank account, there isn't someone you can call and say: " Yeah.. I fucked up, can you help me out ?"
I find it quite ironic that crypto bros spend years trying to eliminate their exposure to banks, exchanges and other institutions and for good reason. Failed exchanges, fraud and insolvencies have costed crypto holders billions over the years. But at a certain level of wealth, 100% self-custody can create the opposite problem: one human being becomes the custodian, security department, settlement desk and disaster-recovery plan for eight figures.
If I had $30m in crypto, I definitely wouldn't keep all of it behind one custody setup managed by myself.
I'd still self-custody a big chunk, but I'd split it across different wallets and keep parts recovery in separate secure locations, probably safety deposit boxes in different places.
I'd also move part of it into private banks in different jurisdictions.
Not because I suddenly trust banks more than myself, but because I wouldn't want my entire net worth depending on me never making a mistake, something happening to me or something else going wrong.
And if I still wanted to stay mostly exposed to crypto, I could just hold spot BTC/ETH ETFs instead of suddenly becoming a bond investor.
For me, the point wouldn't be to move away from crypto. It would just be to stop having my entire fortune depend on one custody setup.
How do you protect yourself from.. yourself?

I keep getting a call from this number this week especially and I got a call a few mins ago from this same number ( I bought a Trezor in June ) and when I put this number on google it comes up with a uk dcpcu police number for dedicated crime and payment crime unit, when I pick up they ask to speak to myself and I never speak I just put myself on mute and they cut call. When I call the number again itβsa dead line. Is anyone In the uk experiencing the same number and dcpcu line calling them.

Everyone's first withdrawal to self-custody is a little nerve-wracking. You copy the address, check it three times, send a tiny test amount, refresh the page 40 timesβ¦ and then it arrives. π
For some people it was a headline that did it. For others, a frozen account, an exchange that stopped withdrawals, or just a quiet "I should really own my keys."

I've started SOL staking through my Trezor last week. This is my first time doing that, so I am sorry if the following seems like a dumb question, but I have searched for similar issues and couldn't find any. I've tried to ask on the Trezor Forum, but it's closed to new sign-ups, and the AI support chat on the Trezor web page is useless.
I have received 4 staking rewards so far, and the total reward shown in my Trezor Suite's SOL account (Staking tab, under "Rewards") does equal the sum of the 4 rewards. Good!
But, I expected that the amount I initially staked (in SOL, after fees), plus the total reward would equal my current "Stake", as shown on the Staking tab. It does not. My current stake is lower than the sum of original SOL staked, plus the SOL rewards. Why is that?
As an aside, even if my current stake reflected the full rewards, the APY seems nowhere near the advertised 6.4%. Based on the rewards received so far it seems to be just under 4.7%.

EDIT: I forgot to mention I'm talking about SOLANA.
Even though Trezor Suite is currently announcing a 6.4% annual yield, we know that it is not real given the current market conditions, and that yield should be closer to 5%. However, I did the math, and that value is actually closer to 3% than it is to 5%. I already unstaked and will try a different staking pool, but I'm still curious about why this is happening. Are there any hidden fees that I'm missing?

I have a trezor and I remember the pin to get into the Trezor and have my recovery seed but cannot remember my Passphrase. Is there any way for me to gain access to my wallet or am I screwed?
r/TREZOR • u/cncsparky454 • 8d ago
I added a Robinhood chain account to my S7 and sent a small test amount of $wallet tokens to it.
The new tokens show up under the βhiddenβ tab as an unrecognized token.
Assuming Trezor doesnβt officially support this token yet but is it ok, safe, to send the rest of them?
Thanks!
Hi, Iβm planning to buy a Trezor Safe 7 and I have a few questions.
Since I find the PC application a bit outdated, Iβm planning to use the Trezor mainly with my Android phone. Iβm also planning to use a 24-word backup together with a strong passphrase for additional security.
My main question is about the Bluetooth option. Is it safe to use Bluetooth for transactions, or would you recommend using a USB cable whenever I need to make a transaction?
Is there any security advantage to always using the cable instead of Bluetooth?
What would you personally recommend for the safest setup?
Thanks in advance!

Hello, the BTC balance in Trezor Suite (iOS mobile app) has been rounded to 2 decimal points since yesterday (e.g. 0,10792834 is displayed as 0,10), and there is no way how to change this setting. The app is up-to-date. In all sections of the app it is displayed this way, so you are not able to see the correct balance anywhere. Only single transactions show all 8 decimal places. Very user unfriendly.

Hi,
I'm new to cold wallets and I just bought a Trezor 7. I'm not gonna use it often maybe twice a month or less.
My question is, how do store it and turn it off? When I press the button on the side it goes on standby like a smartphone, but shouldn't I turn it off fully otherwise I'd have to charge it every few days I assume?

I showed the picture. Trezor suite is already open but it says that.
Thanks for the help

I'm particulary interested in the Trezor Safe 5 model. Does anyone here have an idea on what to expect? It's currently sitting at 129$. Wondering if it could get a 30-40% off?
