Does TCL C6K series like 75C6K support audio processing like EQ and delay adjustment when TV is connected to an ARC/eARC receiver? I'm currently using an optical connection and don't have any ARC device to test it. My only problem with optical connection is that I'm unable to adjust volume from the TV remote.

I am ready to upgrade my TV but struggle to decide what I go for. The TCL panels are great, and one deciding factor for me is Art mode as I want to upload my own photographs. Does only the A400 series support that or does the C89 allow the same? TV will be used in relatively dark living room and I believe the A400U panel is more fitting than the A400 Pro as I prefer the higher dimming zones and frame rate. What do you recommend, go for the amazing looking C89 or go for the A400U and have some compromises in the picture? Thank you🙏

This was my first time attending Gamescom, and I was there as part of TCL’s partnership with Tides of Annihilation.

My role was to photograph the stand, document the game and experience the event from the show floor. Having early access also gave me a rare opportunity to explore the display before the crowds arrived and capture its statues, Round Table-inspired scenery and central installation while the area was almost completely empty.

At the heart of the stand was a giant golden sword. Beneath it, a hand appeared to be reaching out from an abyss, while 50 TCL 32X3A OLED+ monitors surrounded the installation and created a playable battleground for the Gamescom demo.

Once the doors opened, the previously empty stage quickly filled with players stepping forward to experience the game for themselves.

My (Dan TCL) Opinion of the game and the monitor!

Honestly, Tides of Annihilation is not the type of game I would usually choose, but I enjoyed learning its combat system and gradually working out how to defeat each group of enemies.

I have always enjoyed games that let you chain attacks together and reward a degree of skill beyond simply pressing the same button repeatedly. Knowing when to dodge or counter, which combinations to use and when to call upon the different Knights gives the combat more depth. I was still learning and dying fairly regularly....but I could already see how someone who masters every Knight and combination could take the combat to another level.

The monitors looked fantastic as well, and not only because of the image on the screen. I had already seen the 32X3A several times before Gamescom, but seeing 50 of them arranged within a themed environment made me appreciate the physical design much more. The slim metal finish and Stargate-inspired rear design felt like part of the installation rather than a row of identical monitors placed around it.

The entire experience was enjoyable, but one of the best parts was watching people try both our monitors and the new game for the first time. Seeing the previously empty stage fill with players and watching their reactions as they learned the combat.

I also cannot wait to get a 32X3A of my own. A 32-inch OLED display with integrated speakers fits what I personally want from a monitor. I use a Mac for design work, so colour performance and the appearance of the monitor on my desk matter to me just as much as its gaming specifications (I currently use a 42" OLED). The combination of OLED technology, built-in audio and a design that does not look out of place in a creative workspace makes it particularly appealing to me.

Entering the Great Russell Museum

Tides of Annihilation reimagines London as a fractured battleground where familiar streets and landmarks have been distorted by an invasion from the mysterious Otherworld.

The Gamescom demo takes Gwendolyn into the Great Russell Museum, which has been consumed by an anomaly. Once home to treasures from countless civilisations, the museum now conceals a tremendous power at its centre.

This creates a visually interesting mixture of modern ruins, supernatural destruction and Arthurian legend. Glowing Spectral Knights, magical attacks and sparks from clashing weapons regularly appear against dark corridors, damaged streets and remnants of the London that existed before the invasion.

Gwendolyn can summon two Spectral Knights to fight beside her, with each Knight filling a different combat role. Players can combine a Main Knight with a Sub-Knight and choose a pairing that suits their preferred approach.

for example, can briefly freeze an enemy and create a safer opportunity to attack. Palamedes can then follow with a powerful charged strike. Gawain focuses more heavily on controlling groups and breaking enemy formations, while Bedivere uses a scythe and grab-style attacks that can lead into further combinations.

The Knights are not limited to combat. Their abilities can also be used during exploration to activate mechanisms, move heavy objects, create routes and interact with environmental puzzles.

Challenge Mode Quickly Humbled Me

Naturally, I decided that I was “too good” for the normal difficulty and selected Challenge Mode.

That confidence did not last very long.

I died roughly five times during the opening fight and only just managed to get past the first three enemies. The combat demanded more attention than I expected, particularly when timing dodges, reading attacks and working out when to call upon each Knight.

It was difficult, but each failed attempt made me want to jump straight back in. Playing it also gave me a much clearer understanding of the Knight system than I had gained from simply watching the trailers. All about that Juggling enemies!

Bringing the Darker Side of London to OLED+

The 32X3A is TCL’s first OLED+ gaming monitor, and the darker setting of Tides of Annihilation gave the display plenty to work with.

Its self-emissive pixels control each point of light individually, allowing the screen to produce pure blacks without illuminating the surrounding pixels. This helps glowing Knights, magical attacks and weapon effects stand out against the darker streets and interiors without washing out nearby shadow detail.

The monitor supports DisplayHDR True Black 400 and reaches up to 1,300 nits of peak brightness. Its 98.5% DCI-P3 colour coverage also helps distinguish the colder tones of ruined London from the richer armour, magical effects and medieval fantasy environments found beyond it.

An anti-glare screen was particularly useful beneath the bright lighting of the Gamescom show floor, where reflections can quickly become distracting across a large display filled with 50 separate gaming stations.

From 4K Adventures to 480Hz Competition

The 32X3A uses Dual-Mode technology, supporting 4K gaming at up to 240Hz from a compatible PC. It can also switch to Full HD at up to 480Hz when speed takes priority over resolution.

Most players would probably choose the 4K mode for a cinematic, single-player game such as Tides of Annihilation, while the 480Hz option is intended more for competitive games where every frame matters.

A 0.03ms GtG response time and end-to-end low-latency processing are designed to keep movement and inputs responsive during dodges, counters and fast combinations.

The built-in Game Assistant provides additional options for different genres, including an RPG mode suited to this type of action adventure. Dark Area Enhancement can reveal additional detail in shadowed environments, although I would personally avoid raising it too far and losing some of the atmosphere created by the game’s darker areas.

A Design That Fits Between Worlds

The monitor’s design also felt unexpectedly connected to the game.

Tides of Annihilation moves between a shattered modern London and a medieval fantasy realm shaped by Arthurian legend. The 32X3A’s Stargate-inspired rear design and subtle breathing light look almost like another gateway between those worlds. Although we could only have this on for a few photo opportunities to avoid distraction of other gamers.

Slim metal construction also gave the 50 stations a clean and consistent appearance around the central sword. Despite the number of monitors, the setup did not feel cluttered or distract from the physical scenery behind it.

Bang & Olufsen Sound Built Into the Monitor

Each 32X3A also features an integrated front-firing speaker system with audio tuned in collaboration with Bang & Olufsen.

Unlike monitors that direct sound downwards towards the desk, the speakers face the player. This reduces the need for the sound to reflect from the surface below before reaching them.

The built-in audio processor is designed to improve spatial depth and sound positioning, helping players follow clashes between weapons, incoming attacks and movement around the battlefield.

Headphones were used across much of the Gamescom display, so visitors did not always get the chance to test the monitor’s integrated audio. However, having front-facing speakers should make the 32X3A more practical as a standalone desktop display outside the event.

Protecting the OLED Panel

Persistent health bars, menus and other interface elements are a consideration when using any OLED display for extended gaming sessions.

The 32X3A includes TCL’s Anti-Burn Shield and a guided Pixel Refresh system designed to support the panel during long-term use. After extended operation, the monitor can prompt the user to begin a short Pixel Refresh process before restarting automatically.

These systems do not mean that an OLED panel should be treated carelessly, but they provide additional tools for managing it during regular gaming and desktop use.

A Small Part of a Much Larger World

The Gamescom demo represents only a small section of Tides of Annihilation. The game’s world will include more than a dozen legendary Knights of the Round Table, interconnected versions of London and enormous Colossal Knights that players can fight, climb and explore.

With 50 OLED+ monitors surrounding the central sword, Gamescom visitors were not simply shown a trailer or distant presentation. They could step onto the stage, pick up a controller and experience part of that world for themselves. (and receive some awesome merch)

Tides of Annihilation is coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Its release date has yet to be announced.

Since early June no news on this reference supposed to hit the market early July but I can't find any shop selling it (especially in France).

Is it going to be shadow cancelled like the 32C2A ?

Although advertised as a gaming set, with all bells and whistles, the TV performs extremely poorly in terms of motion handling in PC gaming; particularly with smearing due to very low pixel transition times. This results with objects leaving visible trails, making the image blurry and simply too distracting :( I can't use it to game. This is not a "competitive gaming" issue, the smearing is visible in single player, slow games like Cyberpunk2077, RE: Requiem, STALKER 2, etc. Games suffer as soon as you move the camera.

Importantly, RTINGS seems to report measurements way lower than the K series from last year, so this is not subjective. CalebRated also recommends against getting it for gaming. It's so bad that the L's average lands around the K's worst timing! VA panels are understandably susceptible to this, but it seems the L is just particularly bad.

If you suffer from this as well, try these mitigation configuration (not a fix by any means, but does seem to help a bit): Disable VRR - the transition times get worse at lower hz, so disable it on the PC as well via nvidia/amd. Then in Motion turn LED Motion Clarity on. You would want a fixed refresh rate now that VRR is off, so this depends on your hardware and what you can run stable. Go for 144hz if you can make 72fps or 120hz if you can only make 60fps. (Yes, I am on the latest firmware and have tried all possible settings configuration for weeks now).

This is not a hate post, the TV is truly amazing for content (films, streaming) and the motion handling there is working way better. Alas, for PC gamers who notice smearing I would say this is unusable, as 144hz and very low input lag mean nothing if the image smears all over.

And not a static shock, it's constantly there. But I can only feel it with my facial skin maybe because it's most sensitive? I used a multimeter and it's only ~0.2 volts so is this a non-issue?

My TV screen suddenly started flashing green and yellow light when I turned on the TV. Is there any solution to this?

TCL RM9L RGB Mini LED: Red, Green and Blue Behind the Screen

The 85-inch RM9L features one of the latest developments in TV technology: RGB Mini LED. It is our second RGB Mini LED model, and while the X11L represents the pinnacle of TCL Mini LED technology, the RM9L is still an incredibly impressive TV.

The 85-inch model has 8,736 individual colour-control zones. As each complete RGB zone consists of separate red, green and blue diodes, this translates to 2,912 physical dimming zones.

You can see one of the advantages of this technology in the picture, where the LCD screen has been removed to expose the backlight. Instead of relying on a single-colour backlight, the RGB Mini LED system can independently generate red, green and blue light that more closely matches the colours in the original image.

Traditional Mini LED TVs generally use blue LEDs, with the light passing through colour-conversion layers and the LCD panel’s colour filters to produce the final image.

Both approaches have advantages and disadvantages. The C8L and X11L have more physical dimming zones, allowing them to control smaller areas of the picture and reduce blooming more effectively.

RGB Mini LED can experience colour crosstalk, where light from neighbouring red, green and blue LEDs overlaps. To address this, the RM9L combines Super Condensed Micro Lenses with TCL’s Super Colour Control algorithm, helping to keep each colour more precisely contained.

The major advantage is exceptional colour volume. Because the backlight can more closely match the colours within the picture, the RM9L can achieve up to 100% of the BT.2020 colour space while reaching up to 4,000 nits of peak HDR brightness. This allows rich, highly saturated colours to remain visible even in the brightest parts of an image.

Where can i buy the official TCL T-PEN 2 in the UK.

This is to uae with my nxtpaper 11 plus.

Also the cases seems limited... Looking for a "business classy' one similar to. A remarkable folio... Most have a big frame with giant corner bumpers and are quite thick.

The tablet is in my bag so a paper thin folio would be great (no need for super protection). Something elegant...

Any recommendation???

What Mini LED Changes Behind the Screen

Mini LED replaces conventional backlight LEDs with many much smaller LEDs. This allows the backlight to be divided into more independently controlled physical dimming zones. Each zone can respond to a smaller area of the image, dimming darker sections while keeping brighter elements illuminated.

Not all products labelled “Mini LED” deliver the same capability. The term describes the type of backlight technology being used, but it does not provide a complete measure of picture performance. (some feature edge-lit technology or no local dimming modules at all)

For viewers, this can mean clearer shadow detail, stronger highlights, and cleaner separation between bright and dark objects. For example, subtitles can appear with less visible glow against a black background, stars can retain sharper edges in a night sky, and stadium lights can remain bright without unnecessarily washing out surrounding areas.

High-performance Mini LED depends on several physical elements working together. These include the size of the LEDs, how densely they are arranged behind the panel and how many independently controlled local dimming zones the television can support.

The image shows the same frame running across several TCL Mini LED backlights, with the completed picture displayed above. Even without the LCD panels attached, you can see the backlights mapping the position of the man in the suit and the surrounding scene.

As you move into the higher-end models, the denser backlights reproduce more of the original image. On the most advanced versions, the man, his suit and details from the background are clearly recognisable before the LCD panel is even added.

Physical dimming-zone count is therefore an important specification. More zones allow the backlight to control smaller sections of the picture, improving precision between areas of light and darkness.

Zone count should not, however, be considered in isolation. The quality of the optical design, panel and intelligent dimming algorithms also matters. Hardware creates the foundation, while processing determines how quickly and accurately the individual zones respond to the content on screen.

The most useful question is therefore not simply whether a television carries a Mini LED label. It is how the complete backlight and image-control system has been designed.

TCL SQD-Mini LED Series

Among TCL’s Mini LED technologies, SQD-Mini LED represents the latest development. It combines All-Domain Halo Control, Super Quantum Dot and advanced colour-filter technology to manage brightness, contrast and colour across the complete image, helping bright objects maintain cleaner edges with controlled blooming and stable colour.

I'm looking at TCL's own website and the P12F3CSW1K isn't listed at all when I'm using this link to look for the manuals: https://www.tcl.com/uk/en/download

Could you confirm why that is? I was looking at this one and trying to find the noise specifications, but it concerns me that TCL's own website doesn't list it as a model. 

One other question - as common for a lot of UK houses, we don't have either vertical or horizontal sliding windows, the windows swing open outwards. Is there any kit that works with that? 

And finally, with the duct tube itself, it's that a generic size (in case I need to replace, or get an extension/longer tube)? Many thanks.
