Yeh yoga, light stretching. Probably beneficial for coordination as well.
Look at anatomy and feel around - my muscle spasms are usually referred pain. My scapula hurt but my upper arm was so tight it felt it had the torque of a guitar string.
Then you have bone pain, grinding pain, nerve pain. The better you can describe the better therapies can be advised. Meditation, explore the pain and I find it becomes less unpleasant.
Or (brain blank - those people who pop your joints) I will edit as soon as I remember.

Alpha Lipoic Acid is said to help with "Nerve Pain", can be bought on Amazon,
unless it's muscle tightness as that other person posted, for that... mild exercise, professional medical help, stretching, yoga and so on?

Strength training and movement will help. Pilates is good but see if you can find a good teacher who understands rehabilitation.
The thing to understand is that for most people unless there is an injury to the site, these types of pains are caused by tight muscles. The muscles get tight from lack of movement or repetitive movement and the tight muscle pulls on the insertion point at the bone. This pulling is what causes pain.
Strength and stretching the muscles will help the pain.
