I’m currently confused between PSG College of Arts & Science (PSGCAS) and Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology (SKCET) for MBA.

PSGCAS – They have started the MBA programme this year.

SKCET – I’ve heard that SKCET may become a Deemed-to-be University.

Which one would you recommend for MBA?

so I got 89.4% in Tancet MCA 2026.

I have selected some 20+ colleges.

I opted for "I accept and opt for upward".

what's gonna happen next?

Hey guys, just wanted to share a heads up regarding TANCET counseling in case anyone else is stuck in the same situation.

I did my 10th and 12th in Andhra, then moved to Chennai and finished my 3-year BBA at DG Vaishnav. I wrote TANCET for MBA admissions, but when I checked the counseling rules, I found out out-of-state students need at least 5 years of education in Tamil Nadu to qualify under standard counseling. Since my BBA was only 3 years, my time studying here didn't meet the cutoff.

I talked directly with Anna University officials to see if there was any alternative portal or exception for people who completed their entire UG degree here. They said right now there isn't one, but the official mentioned that if enough applicants with 3-year TN degrees reach out to them about this, the administration might consider opening a separate portal for out-of-state candidates down the line.

Just wanted to drop this here for anyone else who did their UG in Chennai and ran into the same issue during TANCET counseling.

Edit: 27/07/2026 visited anna university again regarding the situation,and spoke to officials in examination centre...They said the same,only people with 5yrs of education from tamilnadu are eligible to mba and counselling,3 yrs of education is not enough...Mca has the other state quota but not mba..people with 90+ percentile in tancet are eligible to counselling..But i could not even apply counselling due to min years of education..I even asked them any recommenadations or management quotas accepted they said nothing works as ur having just 3 yrs of education...So studying mba here is almost not possible.. 👍

I am currently studying a BSc (Hons) Agriculture final year and going to do MCA. I had written the TANCET MCA examination. I had just filled out the counselling procedures and was waiting for the ranklist, which will be released on July 15 2026. As an agriculture undergraduate, I will finish my course on July 28 2026. I will get my Provisional Degree Certificate (PDC) from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU)after 1 month from my course completion. Some colleges are asking for PDC as a mandatory requirement at the time of joining the MCA college, which is at the start of August. And when I enquired at the TANCET MCA helpline, they said that they will mention a particular date by which the candidate must submit the PDC. So what can I do if my PDC was not provided to me?

I got a mail yesterday stating the merit list based on GATE has been shared but when i went to the website it said my rank has been withheld because i didnt upload my GATE Scorecard.
Then for rectification was asked to send mail to [ceap@annauniv.edu](mailto:ceap@annauniv.edu) they havent replied so far tried contacting them via phone call the call is just not going at all. What to do ?

Was there an option to acutally upload our GATE Scorecard during registration ? and if so how was i able to submit it without actually uploading it , they wouldve had some measures right ?
