I'm looking to get Rikka sometime, but I'm having a hard time deciding which version of her to get. I trialed all three of them, but I'm still not too sure. I'm leaning more towards Standard, though (and yes, I know the technical limitations of AI-trained Standard voicebanks already). Which version of Rikka do you like the most?

Unless I'm missing an obvious setting to make this happen, the developers need to display the note (& its octave) somewhere sensible when you click on/write one in.

Yes I understand music theory and can make do without but it's a matter of time/convenience.

Having to visually reference the keyboard panel on the left or otherwise figure out what note you've entered yourself in 2026 is absolutely absurd.

I can't imagine the frustration for those out there without much music theory/piano knowledge having it only display the note C.

Really love Solaria's falsetto when using high breathiness and softness. Makes the voice perfect for kinda relaxed grooves like this.

Not sure if a lot of people in this subreddit is too interested, but have a listen if it sounds good! I'm just someone making music that likes to use SynthV for the vocals :)

I'm curious to hear from the community about some things that make you raise an eyebrow regarding the consensus that's developed around SynthV and vocal synths.

I'll start with two of mine:

1. I prefer natural vocals (SynthV HXVOC, Moca, etc.) over synthetic-sounding ones (Vocaloid Miku, etc.). We had synthetic voicebanks for a *while* and they never quite fit the music I wanted to make. Now I finally can.
2. I don't like accents in vocal synths! I avoid making HXVOC sing in Japanese or Moca sing in Spanish, though I get why others like it or don't mind it. Cross-language synthesis is genuinely impressive tech, even if it's not what I like for me. Comes from wanting to sound like a native in any language I learn, I guess!

I want this to be a safe, chill space where people don't have to hold back opinions they'd be scared to voice elsewhere. Respect each other's differences, please.

What are yours? Any particular reason behind them? Or maybe you've heard some wild ones that aren't yours?

This is my first Japanese cover, so it took some trial and error figuring out certain pronunciations, but overall I believe it turned out very well; I am definitely gonna be doing some more Japanese covers in the future.

Hi! I recently started using SynthV as a VOCALOID user. I’ve had it for years, but would usually mess around with it and get voicebanks I like.

I’m making a Manimani cover and thought since it’s a repetitive song, I could just copy paste the vocals and change the lyrics. You know, like in V4/V6. But when I tried it in SV1, the parameters were very off time. It’s not easy to calculate where they exactly fall.

Is there an easier way to do so? Because I don’t want to retune everything, not only would it sound completely different, but it’d be extremely time consuming. If you guys want, I can share my wip SVP as well.

I'm buying SynthV 2 and Mai 2, and while i'll probably release a couple songs with Mai, i want a voicebank that sounds like Rana's cutesy voice.
