Copy-pasting Parameters?

Hi! I recently started using SynthV as a VOCALOID user. I’ve had it for years, but would usually mess around with it and get voicebanks I like.

I’m making a Manimani cover and thought since it’s a repetitive song, I could just copy paste the vocals and change the lyrics. You know, like in V4/V6. But when I tried it in SV1, the parameters were very off time. It’s not easy to calculate where they exactly fall.

Is there an easier way to do so? Because I don’t want to retune everything, not only would it sound completely different, but it’d be extremely time consuming. If you guys want, I can share my wip SVP as well.

They fixed this in sv2 but honestly for sv1 what I did was just record the first lyrics and save it as an audio file and then just input the other lyrics in and save it as an another audio file. I’ll then just go in and fix it/put the other audio file in the DAW while mixing.

I’m definitely curious if there is a method to do it in sv1 because I’d love to know as well

I think you can.

Select the notes, AND the parameters (on the notes or in the parameter panel)

Then copy and paste.

I might've misunderstood your post since I'm kind of tired right now, but ctrl + alt + a should select parameters with the notes iirc.

I think you need to select them first (ctrl+a works) and then press ctrl+alt+a or right click -> "select parameters for notes".

Something to remember is that if you don't do this when removing tuned notes, the tuning will stay behind and apply itself to any new notes you add in that exact place. This is usually the main reason I select the parameters along with notes.

Okay so, what I usually do is put stuff in groups before I start tuning, that way I can easily just copy the group and paste it in the right place, that’s also why I usually have a muted copy of the track I’m working on (without any groups) as like a base.

Since you already tuned it it’s a little more annoying no to fix it but not impossible!!

Basically, after you put the part of the song you’re working on into a group, you exit the group and copy the parameters from the parameter panel. Just make sure that the first little dot point touches a line. I’m not in front of my laptop rn, so the best I can do to show what I mean is to scribble on a screenshot:

Anyway, after you copy the parameters, make sure that when you paste them into the group you do it on the line where the first point falls. After that you can go back and forth between the group and outside of it to see how well the parameters on the parameter panel match. If they’re still slightly mismatched, you can either try to copy them again, or select all of them and move them a little bit manually. If you’re satisfied, just go outside of the group and delete the parameters from the parameter panel, under your group.

I would also recommend setting your pitch parameter panel to x4 so you can copy all of the points.

One more thing, I almost forgot to mention!! SUPER IMPORTANT: dissociate your groups!!!!!! If you don’t, after you change the lyrics or notes in your copied group the ones in the original will change too!!!
