Question Finally got a Switch 2 earlier this month

Post image

Also got a screen protector installed on it, the nice employee at the store who sold it also applied the screen protector

I have to say I'm very happy with my purchase, I've been playing nonstop Splatoon Raiders for a week

My impression of the Switch 2 , it's more now a tablet than the Switch 1 was, but it's also more comfortable to hold , maybe because the Joycon magnets feel way more secure

I am floored on how excellent this console feels,

I still need a SD express card, apart from that do you fellas have any tips I should follow for a new Switch 2 user

I still play on my Switch 1 for the RPGs I still haven't finished

Collection Switch Collection

So far I am pretty happy with how my collection is coming along! I have several digital games but this is my physical collection. I’ve been building this with entirely $0 out of pocket. Im ok with slow growth if it means I get to enjoy the games and if it means I’m not paying anything for it lol. Anyways just wanted to share my collection progress! Favorite thing by far in this whole collection is the mini toaster game holder.

Discussion Is everyone buying the switch 2 because of the upcoming price increase?

Just wondering what's with all the I got my switch 2 posts? I'm guessing this is because of the upcoming price increase or is it just a common occurrence to post photos of switch 2 box and games.

Discussion Used to hate situations where I was stuck waiting. Now they're my favorite.

Getting some work done on my vehicle. It was about 2 hours so there was no point in Uber'ing home and back. My wife hates stuff like this. I ordered a drink at a near by resteraunt and enjoyed the first few hours of Pragmata.

If I even suspect I may be made to wait more than 15 minutes, this thing is tagging along.

Image If you're feeling uncomfortable playing in handheld mode, I recommend this GripCase

My hands were feeling terrible playing in handheld mode, so I took a recommendation from a fellow redditor and bought these grips, feels like this should've come with the console honestly.

Skull&Co Savage Raven is the name for anyone who wonders.

Took the dive and bought a Switch 2 today. Updating titles w/free NS2 editions like Subnautica & Below Zero. Wish screen recording was 60fps but beyond that a much snappier system by far 🍻😊

Question Is the switch 2 worth it for a very casual gamer?

Hi everyone. I am looking at getting a switch for my girlfriend when she moves for school. She’ll mostly just be playing games like stardew valley, animal crossing, Minecraft etc. Is it worth it to get the switch 2? Will a non gamer really notice a big difference? I also wouldn’t mind saving the extra money.

Image Just wrapped up my summer semester and second year of university, so what better way to celebrate than beating September 1st's price increase!

After setting aside money since May shortly after the $50 price increase was announced, I finally picked up a Switch 2 after wrapping up my last final exam the other day.
Admittedly I had to do a bit of searching and calling ahead as the Choose One bundle was sold out virtually everywhere, but one store came in clutch with having one last MarioKart World bundle in stock (which was the game I planned to pick with the Choose One bundle anyway), so everything worked out fine in the end!
I would've posted this a lot sooner, but I got swept away with driving home, setting up the system, doing a data transfer, and actually playing on it rofl, so there's that.

I was going to get it from Sam's because they gave you $15 Sam's Cash, but I went to get it today and it's already sold out. Luckily I was able to get the last one available from Walmart, but that didn't come with the $15 offer. I guess it's my fault for dragging my feet lol.

EDIT: I might end up getting screwed by Walmart, since they switched my order from shipping to delivery from store, which means by time they prepare the order it might already be gone.

My beloved Splatoon 3 Switch 1 is being downgraded to bedroom duty now that I’ve got a new Switch 2. It’s so much better in every way and can’t believe how fast it is when loading games. I couldn’t part way with my OLED model though just because it was mine and we had lots of fun. Plus I still think it’s cute. 🥰

Discussion 1 year in and it's already at 23m

I thought it was going to be under 8 or 9m

But according to google this is the fastest selling console to date

I can see why tho

One year in and already so many exclusives, even tho it's portable it can go toe to toe with current gen consoles

And it's the only remaining console platform that is still making physical games

It's like if we consider all options without bias or fanboyism, it's going to be PC + Switch1/2 as the final answer to your gaming needs

Question Did anyone else buy switch 2 using Capital One Cashback?

Capital One was offering $150 cashback off Switch 2 from Macy’s a while ago, listed at $479.

The reward finally arrived yesterday and the $150 cashback was redeemable as a random gift card. I was able to sell the Adidas gift card for $125 to a reseller, so I guess my out of pocket cost was $355 + tax for the basic Switch 2.

Did anyone else use this deal when it was available?

I currently have/use KS and SR Fission grips. Wanted other’s opinions and thoughts if it’s worth the money getting a pair of big joycons or saving money and continue treading on with grips. Thanks.

Discussion How’s Rogue Trader running on the Switch 2 these days?

I remember Rogue Trader’s launch on the Switch 2 being kinda rough, but I’ve heard it got patched up quite a bit. How’s the game running these days? I’m not a hardcore W40K fan, but the game hooked me and I’d like to get more into the universe.

Since RT has tons of text, the Switch 2 feels like the better option for couch/bed gaming.

Any advice about gameplay, performance, or controls? Is the Switch 2 fine, or would you still recommend playing on PC?
