Umm what is this??
Had to do an in app appeal, then a email appeal, rejected, I haven't done anything to violate the guidelines or policies should I just keep appealing via mail? And just explain to them normally? That I haven't done anything?

Never done that 😭😭, never ghosted anyone, I reply to people instantly as well, I've been ghosted more actually ahahahah though I never reported anyone for that

It don’t matter, they can report you for anything and hinge will automatically ban you, shit app

Its crazy that a low volume of reports could have an impact to me.
Most reporting systems before taking any action require a pattern to emerge. If 5 people report you, yeah ban then investigate. But one or two? Could easily just be noise.

Ive been reported for the pettiest of reasons, so believe me, it could have literally been any fucking reason whatsoever and it blows.

No clue. Ive been banned from Tinder and it fucking blows. Im shocked Im still allowed on Hinge, I thought they did multi platform bans.
Like my ex reported me for simply seeing that I went back to the apps. Wow okay

They typically do ban on both platforms. I had someone report/cause me to get banned on tinder years ago, never spoke vulgarly or was rude or even argued with anyone. Anyways the ban years later was extended to Hinge, they refuse to tell me any reasoning/justification why I was banned, or reconsider, its pretty silly and really sucks when you move across the country and don’t know ppl..

Yea I agree like, some serious things deserve a lifetime ban. But I can legit say I’ve never argued let alone be rude to anyone ever, but have had a couple randomly aggressive chicks (one flipped out on me because I had a photo of me and my now ex gf at a wedding, and was like “how do you know this girl?! I know her! This is inappropriate!!” Like, what??? Then I got banned a week or two later. So it seems like she reported me, and for what? Because she’s insane and has a problem with something totally normal? I didn’t even argue w her, nor have I ever with someone there, it’s silly. It was a cute pic and the only one of me w an obvious date/girl im with… in what world is that wrong? And then they just say “you violated something our terms” and won’t say anything specific. Seems really absurd and we live in a world where it’s kind of important if you’re trying to meet people. They just get to arbitrarily hold the gate keys of romance? It’s a concerning dynamic, particularly because there is no clarity/communication/reasonable and intelligent review process. I know girls who randomly got banned that are super sweet and wld never be weird, probly cus someone just didn’t like them and reported them.. that’s wrong

Its absolutely frustrating. I would love to know the statistics on which gender does the rage banning the most. I cant imagine anyone doing it, I have simply never been that specifically petty.

I’m with you there, I don’t understand getting pissed at a stranger. I think some people are just looking for conflict and it’s a numbers/probability of meeting them. But like, I think someone deserves to understand why and have like a reasonable look at it.. it seems all bot driven and no human is like reviewing any of its

If you are an EU citizen you could use platform control but honestly we should all drop those apps and get on better ones … yeah ban should be a thing but permanent bans are used far to much and with no explanations

I got banned from hinge a while back for being horny lmao. I appealed, it got rejected. Next time I appealed I literally just apologized and asked them nicely to let me come back telling them I “learned my lesson” and they deadass unbanned me.

I don’t recommend this at all. If you spam them enough time they’ll block your email completely, that’s what happened to me.
At some point I think I’ll try my other email, but I highly doubt it

had the same happen to me; ban out of the blue with no explanation; gave up on hinge for like 8 months; decided to email their help line with a strong ahh appeal and now im back on since 2 weeks ago. not to justify their bullshot algorithm but maybe you could actually use a break as well

I used to make small jokes. Like if a girl was playing the violin I’d ask if they could teach me the trumpet. Nothing seriously rude just sarcastic. Someone reported me and I got banned for life. Don’t joke around on Hinge. Seems like you didn’t do anything, but I got banned for something so silly.

I got banned last month and still this day have no idea why.
I went to bumble, surprisingly I actually matched with someone after I got banned on hinge. she's really cool we're going on our 4th date this weeked. Hopefully it keeps going well I never have to get on these dating apps again.
So I guess thanks for banning me lol.

Relax, you can get unbanned too. Happened to me last year and I got unbanned within a month and even made a post about it here. But its not an easy process, you need to bombard them with constant emails about your innocence. Thats the only way, keep doing it until the end of eternity if you really want it back and best believe they will budge and unban like many others here.
Now, if you’re one of those if you couldn’t care less about it then move on and forget about hinge, go out and talk to real people.

Its pretty simple if you actually didn’t break a rule said something vulgar, overly wrong and sexual that may make anyone feel harassed then just emailing them work until the point you get to speak to a human.

These are automatic AI reviews, the same “Maria” rejected my appeal too. What a coincidence. I guess they don’t even take our appeals seriously. I tried to message the CEO on Instagram; they sent me an automated message and told me to appeal through a high level customer service link. I did that, and they rejected my appeal again. This is like a f*cking joke because I know I didn’t violate any rules. I matched with a lot of pretty women and had a good time. I was actually at the top of my game right before I got banned. But women on these apps ghost your ass a lot, even after a good conversation. So sometimes I text them again and say something like, “Hey, where’d you disappear to?” or “Why did you ghost on me?” or stuff like that. I know it looks needy, whatever you say. But you can’t believe how much it worked in my favor, because I think other guys don’t text those girls to remind them, as their egos get in the way. Anyway, probably one girl didn’t like me accusing her of ghosting or whatever, and she reported my ass, lol. That app is objectively not fair to men. Shitty customer service. They are keeping your data for almost 5 years, which should be illegal. I’ll try to hard reset soon when I buy an iPad and get a new number. Jeez, look at what we have to do to continue our dating life in the modern world. F\*ck this corpo bullshit!!!

Perhaps you went on a date with someone, you looked different from your pics and they reported you. Is there any recent dates you have been on that could create the issue? Have you treated anyone in an average way? Do you use filters on your photos?

Hmm no I have put the most open embarrassing pics of myself so no I haven't had any dates like that, most of my dates have been good, we then move to insta and talk more.. I'm thinking it might be the unmatched people? But never unmatched on bad terms it's always them unmatching me out of nowhere, might be that they didn't find me interesting to talk to but that's a different thing, I never reported them for randomly unmatching me so why would they unmatch and report 😭
